I think PD should have refined the used market. Maybe have multiple markets catering to different types of cars. Maybe one for Japanese cars, or maybe one for only exotics. That way we would have less randomness and more purpose with the used markets. Besides, what used dealership sells Zonda, Lambos, BMW, Mercs etc with Civics, Miatas, and a whole bunch of beaters.

I actually think it's awesome. A random assortment of cars keeps it fresh, IMO.

Well they did what they did. Until they do an addon or something that changes it we can only work around it. A trading tjread has been set up and a subforum may be coming. So this will give each car more sentimental value so to say. Well think of it this way, now everyone in a lobby wont have the same car as You!

Right, all the Beginner and Amateur races are finished except the pickup truck race.
There's a decent list of pickup trucks allowed in the race... and not one of them I can find to actually buy. I just want to get the Amateur races done.
I don't have a problem with the random used car lot per se, but I REALLY GET PISSED OFF that Polyphony would create race events so early on in the Amateur league that requires endless sifting through the used cars like a bum.
Really un-fun game design. Pissed off at PD.
EDIT: How ****ing easy would it have been to design race events such that there always existed at least one premium car model allowed to enter?

I wouldn't hate it as much if it didn't repeat essentially the same few cars over and over again. How many times has the RX-7 or the GTO or the Skyline come up? The two most prominent cars, I've noticed, are the RX-7 and the Skyline. BOTH OF THESE CARS (both the old and the new versions) CAN BE BOUGHT IN THE PREMIUM DEALERSHIPS!!! OFTEN FOR LESS THAN THE USED PRICE, SO WHO IS GOING TO BUY THE USED ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE?
I waited like 2 days, constantly checking that thing for my car, the Eagle Talon. It finally comes up, but it's not in my color (red/black). So I'm like, okay, cool, let's go paint it, and it paints the WHOLE care red! X_X
Seriously, if you're going to have 800 cars, make a better way to access them. PD has successfully made 80% of the cars in the game almost completely inaccessible by spamming cars we can readily buy as premiums while the actual cars we want won't come up, while distracting from the racing since you have to sit through the loading screens to get back to home page every couple of races. At least give us the option to reserve a car so when it comes up, it prompts us to buy it. X_X
PD, fix this crap in an update ASAP, just let us buy all the standard cars whenever we want, none of this pretentious pretend-ur-going-to-a-used-car-lot-lol BS please, it wastes time and distracts from the game. I actually enjoyed going to different countries in GT4. It's such a hare brained design that it boggles my mind how it could've come from the same company that made the greatest racing game of all time.

Its hard to find what you want, and you got to take what the game gives you. I needed an older car for the classic events. I got one in the Lamborghini Countach. 100,000 credits well spent.

I managed to pick up a Tommi Mäkinen edition Evo 6.5 for about 25-30k and a LM Edition R33 in Championship Blue for about the same price. Also the ability to bookmark cars over certain time periods would really improve the system !

I had the exact same idea.
I've seen the MNP2 and MNP3 Skylines, but didn't buy them because they showed up at the same time as the R34 nur.

Look at what I have to deal with... all this shows up at once, and I've got 73k credits. This is the THIRD Trueno SS that I've seen (bought the other 2, traded one).
