VCRC *Alpine A110 1600S ‘73* - CONGRATS Naptown25rs!

I'm tentative on making it this week. As in planning too. Just gotta be sure life allows it.

Time. I'm ok with any time listed.

I am now unexpectedly free this Sunday & would like to join in my raspberry red pearl & lime green metallic alpine.

All times o.k.

Work permitting I'll make the race. Purple/Gold. If voting is still open for a time slot, I'll vote for the standard Sunday Noon EST. 👍

:boggled:
Stop confusing me!!

There is no such option!! LOL

There's no more standard time now in North America. :nervous:

Reschedule Option #1:
@ 9am PDT / 12pm noon EDT / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET

Reschedule Option #2:
@ 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 5pm GMT / 6pm CET

Reschedule Option #3:
@ 9:30am PDT / 12:30pm EDT / 4:30pm GMT / 5:30pm CET

I'm veering toward wanting to go with option #3

Reschedule Option #3:
@ 9:30am PDT / 12:30pm EDT / 4:30pm GMT / 5:30pm CET

Just because it's a compromise between the 2... until Daylight Savings Time takes effect in Europe on the 25th.

Then we can return to the normal...
@ 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST
once we're all on DST...

I should just have time for this if you allow more racers. I have the Sunday Cup at 20.00 GMT, this will probably be over by then?

Oh yes, welcome aboard! :)
Look forward to seeing you on track again!

This event is 90 minutes, and I time it carefully to finish on time because many of us are in the US and have family obligations for sunday afternoons directly afterward. 👍
4:30pm GMT to 6pm GMT
(16:30 gmt to 18:00 gmt)
Think that's correct.

Okay, jackargent (among others) talked me into it...
I shortened the race at Eiger Reverse, and lengthened the one at Monte Carlo...

Race #1: Eiger Nordwand Short Track Reverse - 6 laps
Race #2: Clubman Stage Route 5 - 10 laps
Race #3: Cote d’Azur - 10 laps

Apparently Monte Carlo is much much much more popular. :)

I only said I liked the car at monaco - in general it is not wise to pay much attention to what I say.

(please note that me saying i like the car at monaco should not be taking to imply that there is any prospect of me driving it very fast there!!!)

I used to hate Monaco but I am coming more & more to love it!!!

4 people have complained about Eiger so far in this car. hahaha. (3 of whom are signed up here)
(And truly I like it better at Monaco too.)

Definitely the case for me. haha.

Someone who likes Jersey Shore style should be an automatic DQ...lol.

Welcome aboard Tony:tup:

Dced :( although on race 1 I got a time of 11:50.450 so if someone could fit me into the results that'd be awesome :)

Congratulations NCemt on a well deserved victory (I'm assuming). You were very fast today!!

Good Job NCemt!

Thanks JP and Owens!

Feels good to win one of these things! I had some really stiff competition up front in the form of JP and TonyNOS... Both guys were very fast and provided lots of close, clean racing. I'm still not quite sure how I was able to hold both of you off during those last couple of laps at Monaco, both of you were glued right to my bumper. Thanks to everyone for some great racing, and to Melon for the fine organization of the event. 👍

It didn't look like an easy win! But not really luck either! Looked like the hounds of hell were nipping at your heels on Monte Carlo.

I get really tight when i'm in front at Monte Carlo!! (Which happened to me because of RGO at the start, that was terrifying. lol)

I just updated the club podiums post here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5474360#post5474360

I noticed we did 2 1973 cars in a row. That wasn't deliberate.

Next week will be the Trueno 83. 👍
It's a nice ride, and a fun car.
And more than a bit better behaved than the Alpine.

Was a very good, fun, competitive race. Sorry for the whole lagging thing at Eiger Tony, between PNut and I. I've never had that complaint before and I am hardwired/Nat2. Might have had something to do with PNut being close to me not sure.

I want to suggest using the Alpine again a bit later on some bigger tracks. It has an awesome 5th gear, closer to 4th gear than most cars of that era and it sill pulls like a demon even in 5th gear. It ran fine at Monza, Grand Valley East etc. I'd really like to get it out on some tracks where we can really wind it up!!

Great pictures and great racing yesterday. Had a blast as usual. I'm amazed at how easy you guys are able to pilot that car with its engine in the wrong place...:)

Melon, you pictured my California Yellow Alpine in one of its many "widow maker" moments!
