Nice that the ra menu now works. Makes my button box less useless online 👍
I will post some times in a couple hours to compare
of course ra still not works online , I translated wrong :banghead:
online times after 20min practise :
best : 1.48.214

still searching for lines :)

I think we should do it like we used to and see how it goes .
otherwise we could change the qualifying settings to "all cars visible" . but with all cars visible we have to get a new rule , about drafting while qualifying . Imo it has to be strictly forbidden . maybe we enter the track in 20seconds gaps or something like that.

I keep expecting @KingKlingeling to post saying he's managed a 1:37.5 or something crazy like that.

Managed to get a 1:38.1xx today in online practise but I was on the ragged edge and really had do overwork the tyres to get it. It could have been a 37.9 but for a tiny bobble in Turn 5 -- doesn't take much of a mistake to lose big chunks of time on that uphill run -- so I doubt that's a sustainable pace. Still mired in the 1:38.5's.

So the brake bias set at 3/3, 4/4, works better in GT6 rather than, 2/1 , 3/2 like I used in GT5?:)

I'm finding that more rearward biases work well in GT6 -- I didn't do much no-ABS driving in GT5, but when I did it was usually with front bias with similar numbers to yours.

There's a lot of cars (like most of our MMShuffle steeds) where I run biases like 4/10, 5/8, and so on. I don't think I've run into anything yet for which I prefer a front brake bias. There are even some where I've run 0/10! (Deltawing)

----

By the way, i tried a 3/4 bias briefly with the Screaming Chicken, and immediately hated it. Oddly enough I was locking up more often than with 4/5, and the rear was more wayward as the rears were locking just before the fronts, instead of with them. :irked: Went right back to 4/5; it's a little tricky as the tyres wear, but it also gives a little 'kick' that helps counteract the understeer that shows up later in a stint. 👍

 I'll wait for the 1.37.500 till the qualifying :D
just kidding:cheers:

We raced Tuesday night with drive alone on. I didn't find it a big deal. Given the option I'd probably turn off the lines but it wasn't awful.

If it really bothers you just delay your start and the lines are gone.

We'll do "race alone" as normal for today and then gather opinions after the race to decide how to proceed in the future.

I'll have the room open early for some practice, qualifying will start a little past 11am EDT/3pm GMT.

I think I will make a one-off appearance today.

Send me a FR on PSN, same ID as here. I think you might be on there already but not sure.

EDIT: @LongbowX I'm opening the room in a few, if you don't get added before I open it you may not be able to join.

Sorry nap town for lap 4. My stupid cat jumped on me and messed me up and unfortunately you happened to get take. Out because of it to.

Apart from network issues, good race. I had thought I was pretty decent around Laguna Seca, but now I need to revisit that opinion. :scared: Obviously I need a lot more practise!

Pity about the retirements and me not being able to see jonkomatic on track. :irked: Haven't had many visibility issues before, don't know what was up with that.

Now we know that's not true :D. Also the blue lines didnt really bother me during qualifying yesterday

It's quite easy to push around hard if you get used with it, because the car is very predictable, even during over steer. The names above the blue lines were a bit annoying at the Corkscrew IMO.

Maybe not the best handling cars in the game - but it does handle very well in terms of predictability I agree.

I think the qualifying was long enough that you could separate yourself from the blue lines. I hardly saw anyone.

Good racing though...I'm not quite so sure how I managed to be that much ahead. I do wish it was closer.

I was lucky enough to be placed at the front of the qualifying pack so I didn't even see a ghost line until about three laps in when LongBow went flying by me. I could see them in the rearview though and I can see how they would be annoying/distracting, especially if several are bunched together and blocking your view. IMO we should do away with them which would mean we'd have to have cars on track during qualifying (I don't think this is a big deal personally) along with a reminder to not block fast cars and don't draft. But since I'm just the guest host I will do whatever the group sees as the best solution. (One very weird thing, during the race I could still see ghost lines from cars on my side monitors, but not on the main monitor. :odd: )

Any suggestions for next week? I gave the '70 Celica 1600 a spin yesterday and it's a brilliant car, but we just did a Japanese car a couple weeks ago so I figure we should look towards Europe. Perhaps the Triumph Spitfire or the Lotus Elan? Or are those used in MMS? What about that old BMW that's new to GT6 (I forget the name)?

Good racing though...I'm not quite so sure how I managed to be that much ahead. I do wish it was closer.

You were 4 seconds faster than me and 2 seconds faster than the next fastest driver.......it was destined to be a boring race for you. I can't fathom how I could find 4 seconds around that track. :boggled:
