Yeah, the new name thing is weird. I have a hard time telling who is who, the only way I knew who Wiifreak was is because he had the little friends list icon by his name and only two of my Canadian friends were online, the other being Monsieur Penso. I thought there had been a way to see their PSN names but I couldn't find it.

I am S. Wilson . Watch the replay around lap 14 to see me do a nose dive and spin into the corner , my back end came at least a foot and a half off the ground in rain, That's some serious brake power 👍.

The way to check the people online is down at the bottom in rooms main menu. I think it's called "member list".

I checked there but it would only show me the name displayed in the room and what car they were driving. Maybe I was missing something.

It was a tight pack for a couple of laps then then I pushed Chase off under heavy braking and we lost contact. Then I got shunted into a wall and lost a minute and then fought back through the pack. It was a fun first race, fun little car, hope there are more to come!!. Thanks again Punch

YES!

So that's that once you start the qualifying nobody can enter the track & the race automatically starts. I wasn't even sure.

A bit eerie to be on the track by oneself for qualifying.
What I found odd was that I noticed while qualifying the side by side indicator flashed a few times and I assume it was detecting other cars qualifying. That was a bit creepy.


Anyway, I think I know the track better at least.

I didn't pay attention to the damage indicator, I just assumed it was fixed in the pits. It felt fixed and my lap times were about the same so it must be some kind of replay glitch. The car was almost undrivable with damage, took me an extra 30 seconds to get back to the pits

I got self inflicted damage first lap, Was able to drive okay though and it was fixed after my pitstop.

Well the very next car is the Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster '60
Mostly because I've got it, I've already driven it, and I think it's pretty fun.

Also, it's a prize car. The 3-6 Goodwood events, gold.

Although someone asked me exactly what unlocks those, and I'm not quite sure. Does anyone know specifically how far you have to get with what to unlock those events?

I think once you gold 3 events it unlocks the next three events, until you get to the Red Bull car which I believe is the last one.

That would actually make more sense. Except it doesn't seem to work that way.
1) I had at least 9 Goodwood events unlocked before I even looked at the Goodwood events.
2) The person who asked me how to unlock them had already golded the first 3 & won the Rocket, and still the next 3 were not unlocked.

So it has to have something to do with the stars in career mode. But darned if I could figure it out.
I really haven't completed much of career mode at all. (20% only)
Yet I have at least 12 goodwood events unlocked.
I've only completed the 1st grouping with all stars.
Other stuff I've only done "half stars" (and won a couple of "half of the stars" prize cars).
And the last 2 blocks on the menu, are still locked for me.
I've also done some of the coffee break stuff. But none of the one-makes or missions.
And I've only done the 1st lunar mission.

Maybe it's a combination.
I'm sure I could've skipped ahead. Though I never actually tried to skip ahead.
BUt I've been doing everything haphazard.
I have tons unlocked and a lot of "half of stars" prize cars.

Count me in for tomorrow, did some ring driving and enjoyed the car. My friend may try to join as well (good clean racer). He has a gtp account but doesn't log on too often as I'm usually constantly blabbing info anyways .
