VCRC vintage & low power :: Sunday 3pm GMT / 10am US EST

Oh and Brandon, I still think we should use the karmann ghia. Perhaps on Madrid.

I've looked at it but haven't driven it yet, I presume with such little power it probably throws in the towel at the slightest hint of an incline. I don't get much joy from the ultra-low-powered cars, there's very little passing or racing with them. I'll give it a go though, maybe it's not so bad. It would have to be at a flat track like Madrid or Stowe (though the lack of clearly defined boundaries at Stowe concern me).

I don't think the karmann is as slow as you think. I don't think Stowe is such a good idea because of that Esses that you can't even see at the beginning. I think it would be fun on Madrid though.

so, is there any vcrc today ?
karman ghia at madrid ?
got plenty of time today , because the race would start directly after the F1 mercedes one man show:D

i was just looking at the cars i had in my list and i don't know if you guys raced the mario andretie 48 hudson hornet it has 152 hp after oil change and it was a car given away just a suggestion i tried it at daytona rc seemed to slow there but maybe at one of the cape ring short tracks

Sorry guys, I've been really busy the last week or so, and I stopped getting alerts for the thread.

That's not a bad idea, I haven't used that car since the Seasonal. I'll try to give it a go this evening before the Ferrari event and find a good track for it. Did the Hornet have a good top speed or would it need to run on shorter tracks? I've been trying to find a car to take to Trial Mountain since some people have requested that track but so far haven't been able to find a car that suits it. Maybe the Hornet would work well there (as long as it has enough grunt to get up the hills).

Hello racers, I can see a lot of signed up drivers here, so is there still some space for me? :) I want to try it and join some races ;)

We've had small crowds lately so there should be plenty of room. 👍

it only got to 97 mph at daytona rc but i was driving automatic and it wouldn't shift to 4th gear im not sure it had a 4th gear just took it for a spin. i would suggest no tracks with any up hill parts

I don't believe it has a 4th gear. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out tonight. That probably means Trial Mountain is out.

i just ran it at 3 tracks on sports hards cape ring inside it ran a 1.08.42 cape ring south 1.39.94 and trial mountain normal direction 1.52.73 the mountain wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but i'll let you be the judge on that

That's a good idea. I have 6 and a half million clams to burn through anyway.

I'd like to know how we all got the same exact race car owned my Mario Andretti when there was only ever one

Sorry, I have a birthday party I need to go. I might be back home before this event starts but might join late.

Have the Hudson a go at Trial Mountain this evening and it should work nicely. I think we'll knock it down to CS though, it still handles very well on them. This car on this track made me feel like I was running moonshine through the Kentucky woods. 👍

Yes, we'll be at Trial Mountain on CS tires. I haven't had any practice so I'll probably have the room up a bit early, about a half hour from now.
