Well, Blake can vouch or this as we both have done it.

I have had at least 25 separate save games. Probably more. I think if you added up my total playing time (and Blake's) we would both have a hefty lead. We used to play this for hours every day, same with GTA 3. But we used to over-write save games in order to get to a point in the storyline that was perfect for "our storyline".

It makes me angry, but I'm getting back there now!

I think this is the lowest Daily Police Spending I've seen.

Daily Police Spending -- $30,908 - Jimmy Enslashay

I don't think I've ever seen anything less than 6 digits.

I have roughly 500 hours gameplay between the 2 100% games that I have mainly played with. But I've Christ knows how many uncounted hours not recorded from for example my saved game I use for Super Angel racing, or street races I've done and screwed up but not saved, or missions I've failed and restarted, or the other 2 100% games I've completed, or the several other games I've played from start through to Keep Your Friends Close. I couldn't even guess how many dozen hours I've played that aren't in my stats.

Jimmy, the Daily Police Spending in Vice City is always less than 6 digits. It's never been a 6 digit number for me. Are you confusing the police spending between GTA3 and Vice City?

I've never seen my Daily Police Spending in Vice City get above $100,000.

That's half of my point.

I remember once in my Stallion (maybe this is one of the reasons I'm not too bad with this car) I drove for at least 2 hours just driving at full throttle around Vice City. Just anywhere. I eventually became so used to this, I could drive without concentrating. Now I have that skill with all GTA games. Also, it's given me practice with the Stallion. But I have done plenty of things like that out of boredom that would rack up some hours I'm sure.

Hello,

I've not got many(any) mentionable stats except I have got a 1414 degrees rotation max stunt... not using Bike Morph... I haven't got a screen shot at the moment but I can get one (Altho I have a niggly feeling that I killed that save game... will have to check.)

I did it on a Sanchez pulling a wheelie and trying to jump off what I thought was a cheetah coming towards me... it turned out that it was a sentinal so I thought I was about to be knocked off... but I jumped up and spun round loads without falling off!!

C.

Not a problem, screenshots are really only required for #1 records, but if you do get a spin that gets up there close to a record (and the method you describe is unrepeatable in my opinion) then I might put an unverified next to it. In this case I've done what you describe over 1200 degrees so not a problem.

If you do try to improve this there are methods to boost your spin alot:

Bigger, heavier cars tend to make the bike spin more but these are frequently taller too so are more likely to knock you off-- police cars actually spin you pretty good.

If you check out my rotation clip in the vid clips section (link in my sig), that is the best way I've had luck with.

Also if you can shoot a car or helicopter and get it burning, and then you hit it and it explodes right after you bounce off it (or even fly over it-- as long as you are close enough), that will also boost your spin. I've seen clips of people doing this with the heli on top of the condo so they get lots of air time as they spin on the way down.

If you check out some of the video clips in the stunt section they might also give you some ideas--most of them were done on PC and while they claim not to use handling mods I suspect some people tweak there speed and or other stuff. They are impressive none the less.

Updated--

Ok-- I just looked over the last page or two and I still need to fix stuff and do some more updates-- give me a minute. I've been very busy the last week and have not been sleeping well. I went to bed at 12:30 am last night and woke up this morning at 5:30 am. I layed in bed for 45 minutes before I finally got up.

Here is the 11 second cone crazy clip-- I updated the vid clips section and removed the 13 second one I had there

Cone crazy 11 seconds 794 kb and about 15 seconds

And the packer superjump clip-- i cut it off before the stats came up-- I had a quick bounce and the stats at end are for before the bounce, not the higher jump--not that it was very good anyway-- you can't see if very well but I think the best position is when you are at a 45 degree angle pointed toward the left rear corner of the packer-- you need to try and get in position before it falls on you--for whatever reason it stays up for a bit-- this is also in the clips section and I will post in the super jump thread.

For you Superjump impaired people, this one is actually easier then the other superjumps in my opinion-- I was only trying for 5 minutes before my first one. Also, the bike does not take as much damage in this one so you can get several tries before you need to heal or reload.

A Packer Superjump 1.3 MB and 30 seconds

Yeah. I actually watched your clip a few minutes ago. I was doing a clean-up of my files.

I got a nice spin off that ramp to the roof on Ammu-Nation one time, but didn't save it and generally just forgot the digits. So I tried again, think it was a 998 or something, which isn't exactly average, but nothing special. It was actually Blake that showed me how to do this (it was before I came here), and he got a superb jump, too. Too bad it was on my Save Game.

In that time, I found Ambulances are good.

First of all, thank you for the Superjump vid. I'll make an attempt soonish.

As for Cone Crazy, almost perfect, except the jump could've been a touch (and I really do mean just a touch) smoother, and you seemed to have gone wide on the reverse back to the last cone. You also slightly hit the middle cone...surprised you didn't smash it. Lol.

Almost spot on though.

All this talk about how many hundreds of hours we've spent playing Vice City has made me realise how much of my life I waste on video games.

I waste alot more time at work-- but it pays the bills. Now if I could get a job playing video games 💡

I have 3 or 4 PC games that I haven't even opened yet. I wish I had more video game time--- My VC hours (when I was going toward Godfahter) were kind of worked in before my kid woke up in the morning and during his nap in the afternoon on my days off-- I really haven't had alot of time to play anything the last few months-- when I do I just screw around on a PCJ trying to do some insane jumps/spins and the occasional superjump.

Yeah. Lately I've either been screwing around with the Cops in my Stallion, doing a couple of missions from the GTP Vice City Community thread, looking for jobs to give out or just simply cruising around in my car, speed limit or speeding.

I've got a few PS2 and PC games yet to complete. Some I probably never will. What's the likelihood of me ever getting back to Driver 3 when San Andreas comes out?

KM.

Never. Driv3r is my enemy game. I will never lay hands on it unless I am breaking it. I was up to the last mission on Mafia, and never finished...

I've got a few games that I'll never bother to finish either, namely ridge racer type 4 (don't knock it, it's the 4th best PS game of all time)

4th best? What are the first 3? I'm guessing GTA 2, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and maybe Tekken?

I haven't finished Mafia, and I never finished the Getaway when I had it.

Anyway, this is for Records, quote this when you want to reply and put it in the Off-Topic GTA thread.

No record have been posted for 12 posts (13 now) so I'll shut up after this post.

Top three PS games:
GTA2
GTA
GTA: London 1969 ;)

I don't think it's actually that bad of a game. It's just that Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City have set the bar so high for the genre (what do you call that genre anyway?) that it's just WAY behind in terms of overall quality.

KM.

The genre is called DAK. Driving and Killing, can I get money and stuff for putting a patant on that?

I've never seen my Daily Police Spending in Vice City get above $100,000.

The game randomly generates this value right at the very start. Start a game and pause it as soon as you can and you'll see what I mean. I've seen values between 23,000 and 130,000...

"Probably".

I've seen it at $25,000 in the middle of a 6 hour tank rampage. I've also seen it balloon to $76,000 while collecting hidden packages.

<edit - didn't read your post properly>

I'd suspected it was random. I've noticed low values while on rampages and high values while doing nothing spectacular and vice versa.

I am too. I always figured they would be the same for both games. I never take notice of it usually anyway.

I don't think it really depends that much on what you are doing. After my Tank Mission from the Vice City Community thread, it was this low. I just hate the Stat altogether. I hope they don't bring it back for San Andreas.

It's like the Police Spending stat from GTA 3 and the MM Rain Fallen stat from GTA 3. Pretty meaningless. The Media Rating stat does what that the Police Spending stat should do - get bigger with recent destructive acvitity.

I liked that Stat. It was just a little bit about the actual City. I just hate the Police Spending stat because it's random and just plain pointless.
