Do you guys remember when I was b!tching about that "Trial By Dirt"-"Test Track" glitch? Here's what has happened lately:

I did have 2:37 on both, then I did "Test Track" and got 2:20 (no record), so the stats said 2:37 and 2:20. Then I did "Trial By Dirt" and got 2:00, so the stats said 2:00 and 2:20. But then I did "Trial By Dirt" again and got 1:53 (Second Place Record), but the stats said 2:20 on both! Piece of crap! And I didn't have the VCR on, so I have no way of prooving it.

I'll have a couple more runs at it tonight, but I just hate posting a record with no way to back it up! (you too Jimmy? )

If that was about Cone Crazy, then yes that was very frustrating. But it was sorted out, so it's fine now.

Spuds, I used your killing method with the hunter and it worked very well. I killed 10,000 people in a close to 2.5 hours. It took me a few attempts to get them to spawn where you mentioned, but when I did it was pure carnage. For a few minutes at one point I was killing them extremely fast, they would spawn almost every second. But it seemed to me that I would get the 6th star too fast often, and had to go off for the bribe in little Haiti a lot. But all together it worked very good.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing the Mansion Killing Method the other night, but my PS2 is screwed at the moment, and by the time I get a new one, I'll be ready for San Andreas. I think my Vice City days are numbered until I get bored with San Andreas (which won't be for a loooooong time).

I like the mansion method better, I think it's quicker and also easier to set up for.

Hmm good point. I haven't been bored of Vice City yet...I only got bored of GTA 2 and GTA 3.

But I still will return to Vice City, as I did with GTA 3.

But it seemed to me that I would get the 6th star too fast often, and had to go off for the bribe in little Haiti a lot. But all together it worked very good.

Were you doing it while on brown thunder?? If not, you will get the 6th star pretty fast (before the bribe can respawn)

Also, you cannot use your rockets except to shoot down the police heli, try not to use them too much if you can-- 1 shot at the police heli, as long as you hit it, it will go down.

After you get the hang of this method it is very easy to do, hover and fire (but there is a fair amount of little things you gotta get good and fast at--if you keep up on it, they all become 2nd nature eventually)--perfect for 1 handed killing--I spent many a morning drinking my morning coffee as I knocked of 8,000 - 10,000 of the FBI's finest...

The beauty of the mansion method is that it is simpler, but you don't get a break at all-- no coffee drinking while you kill there.

Hey Deli, in the future, keep your camera ready and take a pic of the brief screen or the mission completed screen if you attempt those checkpoints/races.

Or just simply pause, go and get a camera, and take the screens. The in-game screen is not really necessary in most cases.

Thank's for posting my picture Spuds.

I did use rockets some when I was killing. Sometimes a few Ranchers would wonder off where I couldn't shoot them so I'd fire rockets at them. I guess that's why I got 6 stars so easily.

And I'll try and get a pic of my taxi fares/money today.

Pic of my taxi records. The other picture is a taxi I found driving just outside the Hyman condo. At first I though it was an ordinary taxi, but then I got closer and saw that it didn't have the sign on the top. I thought it must have been a neat glitch so I stored it in the garage to take a picture of it later.

I figured out how to post pictures!

You sound like me when I post these, but your post seem worse. Resize and save them in Photoshop, it lifts the quality a tiny bit. Mine would normally be hard to read, but this is what I do.

Hey Famine, whats up with your storyline completion time quest???

Also, if anyone wants to contact me after GTA:SA comes out, I will not be looking at the list of threads (GTA main page) as just the titles of the threads will give out spoilers and I might be tempted to open them up if I see something cool.

I figure at least 4-6 weeks for me to get to a point where I'll be stuck on SA.

I'll be bookmarking and visiting the GTA:VC and III threads so please don't be posting spoilers in them.

Well, I'm not going to be playing any Vice City for records any more, until I get the new PStwo that's coming out same time as San Andreas. My PS2 is messing up, and it annoys me. It also is starting to handle differently over the last few days, so no records from me here for a while. I may, however, use it for the Quiz Thread.

To tell you the truth-- all I can see in the shot is your media attention and distance travelled in boat--I can't see drug deals made.

I did update your passengers dropped off record but it evidently did not upload--is fixed now.
