Not sure, but anyway, it's now official that JV will race for Renault for the 3 remaining GP and will drive a Sauber next year.

Like I said it will be a "shut up, don't ask questions" three races for JV at Renault.
Renault are desperate to finish second in the constructors. If Flavio could get or buy ANYONE capable of getting points behind Alonso (that is if Alonso actually manages to either finish a race or stay on the track) he will.
JV was the best option available to ole' Flav....

Im so happy to see jacques back!
And I hope to see him give some good comp too bar (aww come on evryone knows hes gonna make bar eat his.... dust ....) Of course flavio is gonna go for jacques!! Jv is a good experienced driver (point number one) and he hates B A R (point number 2) the only thing he's asking for is to get even with them! He's gonna get even with them by helping renault to take second place away from bar (point done)

Sauber, wich is pretty much mini ferrari, is becoming medium ferrari with the new wind tunnel and evrything so it should have a " decent " car. Plus i think jean todt pulled some strings
Shumi is probably gonna call it quits by 2007 (he would annouced it in 2006) with something like 8 championchips (minimum 7). Todd (i think and im just saying its not a rumour (altho it could be) and its not a fact (nor a lie)) that jean todt would have asked peter sauber to try and get jv to get him back up to speed (and to prevent rusting up) for those two years to have a competitive driver in with them in 2 years...
Well its just my two cents!

JV won in 1997, he was the world champion (albeit he more lucked into it than "drove" into it) but none-the less he was world champion. He went to BAR, a team basically created for JV. They talked about of crap about the car and JV driving it leading up to their first season which ended up being pathetic. Ok, new team, new car there will be growing pains. So JV is still riding his "former world champion" status putting up with a sub standard car. 1 seaosn, 2 seasons, 3 seasons pass with no real jump in performance. JV looks to be resigning himself to it all and his "fight" (that he did have in 1997) is slowly slipping away it seems. Byt the time Suzuka came up last season JV had not only polarized the team, sucked all their will to compete out of them, was over shadowed by JB (I'm no button fan BTW) in the media, was considered "washed up" by many in the pit lane and media and in general looked as if he could have cared less if he actually drove the car - which proved itself when he pathetically bailed pre-suzuka on the team.
So at the end of last season, due to 6 years of really nothing JV's "drive" to drive in F1 seemed to be not there. I think when the seaosn started this year and he wasn't on the grid it made him wake up and realize he wanted to be there so ALL seaosn he has been desperately trying to get a drive. So he finally does with Renault for the finally 3 races. He is desperate to drive right now, prove himself, etc so he will play nice and do what he is told by Flavio. Next year I think he will start out hungry but as the reality of the Sauber's perfromance hits him and racing for mid pack positions he will sink back to his BAR attitude. After 2 years with Sauber I doubt he will stay in F!. Not only will no team want him but i doubt he will stay.
Realistically Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, BAR or Renault (the top 5 teams) will not want him for a full time race seat (or even test) in 2007.
I don't care for JV one way or another. I don't thnk he is anything special though and he doesn't get a free ride in my mind like alot of his fans seem to think he deserves. He has NEVER lived up to expectations post 1997, even 1997 wasn't due so much to him, andd in general has been a loud mouth polarizing figure in F1 that has never backed up his mouth with driving.
It will be interesting to see him back in F1 but this is his last gasp.
Oh ya, -}=Dr={-Devil-}, why not "STFU" yourself. Backup your support of JV with some reasons other than trying to smack down anyone who disagrees with you with insults or lame comebacks. I will agree with your "**** button" idea in your signature though. We agree on that at least.

You missed one. Ego. JV is competitive and wants to drive. Unfortunately unless it is with a top team his interest seems to lag after a while. 3 races with renault (a top team) should be interesting. JV has a car that can win races for the first time in many years. Let's see if he is as good a drive as everyone says. I hope he wins one of the final 3 races (or finishes on the podium), but I won't hold my breath.
