That's going on the Realistic Photo Thread. Very nice and realistic image that you have taken there. But I assume that you had a hard time taking that image since the road was wet :sly: ?

I was driving on sports hard tyres too, wheelspin pretty much in al gears. But since it was a photo ride, i took my time and enjoyed the scenery.

I just noticed. I used yesterday, ABS = ON and the brake balance was 8/5. So, I had the Irregular adjustments. :ouch:

I will now test the 5/5 adjustment. I hope I'm not that much slower.. :)

Thumbs up for the honesty and correction. 👍
I doubt it will make you that much slower, but it might just be enough. :)

My race speed is slower than yesterday's exercise. I drove the entire training session at the limits. In a long race, it is not possible, at least not to me. :)

Is that why you was very inconsistent and all over the corners yesterday?

When we're doing a long race like this one, it's all about keeping your cool and being as consistant as humanly possible.

No, it's because I'm pretty green. I'm learning, and I try to be humble in this race.

I agree!!

And the event is up! Room number is 1472-6681-3415-7080-5695.

Just a quick reminder to everyone. For this race, you have two sets of Sport medium tires, and unlimited sets of Sport hard. It is up to each driver, when he wants to use his two sets of SM tires. Do your best to not go off track, and drive respectfully.

I'm out sorry. It took 37 seconds for anyone to move off the starting line so I assumed I was lagging and decided to quit before I ruined anyone's race. If I haven't already :scared:

I was laggy after all :( :grumpy:. Got disconnected in lap 16 as i was leaving the pit. Really a shame because i had a good chance of ending in the top 3. At a certain moment i saw a lot of smoke and cars spinnning before the last chicane, it thought it must be lag. But it wasn't, i went from 6th to 3rd place. I hope next race i will not suffer any lags...

I thought i was the only one starting on sports hard, as i saw everybody driving on sports medium. But it looked like only Andy started at sports medium. Or i was doing really great :). But laptimes at around 2:40 at first few laps do not match with sports mediums.

And the race has ended.

Race results:
1st. Andy-Macnab - Gallardo
2nd. GTP_Lapi - F430 + 27.168
3rd. Jik_fin - Gallardo + 1.38.978
4th. Allykh2882 - F430 + 1.41.780
5th. Johnwells69 - Gallardo + ?
6th. MSTER - F430 + DQ
7th. MattieM - F430 + DQ
8th. M8h3r - F430 + DQ

Sadly, we had quite a few people who got DQ'd, aswell as an accident. I don't know what happened, but I'm going to watch the replay now.

My short review of the race. I had fun. Was very immersive driving without HUD, though also a bit nerve wrecking not knowing exactly how your tires are doing. I used the pit strategy that I had planned for the race the first time around. Started on SM tires, then one stint on SH with a 20L refuel, and last stint on SM tires with a 50L refuel. Strategy worked well, with me escaping traffic very early on, and not seeing a ton of cars throughout the race.

The last few laps had me on edge, as I felt certain that someone was close behind me, and I was running out of tires. I kept expecting the message "you have crossed the finish line to the last lap", to appear. And had it done so one lap later, I would have been in trouble, as my tires were really showing their age.

Overall, huge shame that we couldn't complete the race with the full grid, but none the less, I enjoyed it.

It's a very nice looking sheet MSTER, but AllyKH2882 is missing. And you can scratch RacingWorld from the list. He's out as a result of not showing up, nor notifying me about his absence.

And for future reference. It is not okay to simply give up. I know it can be a HUGE pain to crash that early in the race, but with your speed, you'd be more than capable of making up time. I've had my fair share of horrible races too, like the RM Subura VS RM Mitsubishi race. Spun and got damaged in the first corner, and spent the remaining 2 hours getting lapped and spinning in circles. Dispite my hatred for that race, I kept going to the end.
Commitment is important in my races. As you well know.

Hopefully we won't have any accidents in our next race.

As for the accident in this one, it was quite silly. Jik_fin made the mistake of turning in too early at the last high speed turn, which resulted in MSTER hitting him when he re-entered the track. This then caused collatoral damage to others, and a fairly amusing pit entrance pile up. Yeah, I have to admit, I was cracking up when I saw that part. :)
Though I can imagine the frustraition for the players involved. Next time, beware of your surroundings when entering the pit guys.

First of all, I'm sorry that I just gave up on the race like that Jawehawk, I won't do it again. And second, I'll more than happily replace racingworld with AllyKH. I must also mention that the pitstop pileup was also very funny, even for me at the time  .

EDIT: You can put the link to the spreadsheet into the OP if you wish, as I intended it to be used by everyone. I'll continue updating it and it will make calculating the points much more easier. The spreadsheet has been updated and racingworld has been replaced.

Congratulations Jawehawk, well done! My strategy would have been 17 laps on SH, 12 on SM and another 12 laps on SM as well. The laps i was able to drive didn't had any crashes, so no unnecessary pit stops were made. Unfortunately i couldn't finish. May you should place "Electrical Failure" rather then DQ :).

Well done Jawehawk 👍 👍 👍

With the sheer pace that JiK_fin showed in practice I felt it was certain to be a Finnish victory, unfortunatly Gallardo is now 1-0 up :grumpy: Haha I joke. Time to tighten your belts MattieM, MSTER, Allykh2882 and GTP_Lapi we must not lose to the Gallardo, we may be on the back foot now but we can still win :dopey:

Once again well done Jawehawk 👍 :D

The only reason fin didn't win is because I could tell that everyone was nervous when the real race started, especially after the damage was turned on. That's why I was able to stay in 2nd place on Sports Hard tyres while pretty much everyone else was on Sports Mediums and didn't want to waste one of their precious sets. Unfortunately that was the case and a perfectly good set of SM's were wasted for a lot of people after the major crash and pileup around lap 5-7.

I have to argue this point. Had Jik_fin been able to keep the same pace as he did in the practice session, he would have beaten me, regardless of the crash. If I recall correctly, he didn't lose that much time from the crash, as he got into the pit first, and thus avoided the pile up (The crash would have cost him about 30-35 secs in total). He was also on SH tires at the start, so he didn't lose any of his two SM sets.

I was surprised to see Lapi and Allykh taking it fairly slow at the start, considering they were on SM tires. Had they been a bit more aggressive, they would've left the pack earlier, and thus avoided the crash all together.

Was jik taking an inconsistent pace around the track then? That's the only way I see him not beating you.

Either he was being inconsistant, or he had more than one accident. He aparently also ran out of fuel at the end. :)

Welcome

Good car, good track, good organization.
Thank you for the race.
I make a mistake in tire tactics. Before the competition did not look at how many good rounds in the SM tire.
I think I was more than should have been round the track.

Maybe a comment in the following races:
timer after the formation lap a circle and everyone takes his position in and start.

Again, thank you, see you Lemans.!

That was a big mistake :indiff: . It's a little bit late now but a set of SM tyres would last you 9-12 laps depending on how rough you treated them.

I think I drove 13-15 laps on my last set of SM tires.
At least it felt like that much.

Was you driving on rims? Because 4WD vehicles tend to wear the tyres down quicker :sly: . I think that you drove 11 or something.

My first stint on SM tires, was 12 laps, and I still had some tire left. I can almost guaranty that I had done more than 12 laps on my last set of SM tires. It's just a matter of not driving the car at its limits.

You'd be a good Formula 1 driver with that attitude.
