I have no idea. I know you add an hour, but is that then an hour earlier or later my time.
Edit: tree'd. Thanks 👍

All you need to do is add an hour to the GMT time that I post. So when I say 18.00GMT, Brits add 1 hour. People like Mattie and my self have to add 2 hours during summer time.

Anyhow. The room is up and running. Room number is 1472-6681-3243-9091-0263 for anyone on here who wishes to join, but aren't on my friends list.

Session has ended.

Took 5 pictures from our last race, got a couple of good wheel to wheel pictures and then I'll put on some text and spread it tomorrow. Full 16 person grid I tell ye.

If you manage that, you will be rewarded! But keep in mind that there's still a few spots reserved for people who have previously raced with us. Still waiting for a few people to answer my PM's.

I haven't been checking out this thread recently. I had a look at the car choices and this is easily the most expensive cars to be raced in this series :D . I know for sure I have the Jag, maybe the Ferrari too but I'll get back to you guys on what car I'm going to use.

Got jawehawks msg on psn yesterday going to see which cars i have or which one i can buy.

Ill let you guys know this weekend if i will be taking part .

Just wait till people reply Andy your PMs:dopey:

If we had a full grid m8h3r that would be really good:tup:

Session is open.

And session has ended.

Important info! This might be a mute point, but I strongly recommend that no one uses any other tire than Sport Soft in dry conditions, as the medium and hard compound simply can't keep up. Thanks to PD's inadequate tire model, the difference in wear, is not high enough to counter the faster lap times set by higher grip tires.

On another, and more important note. I'm adding another rule to the Racing Series. In all championships featuring Race cars, a weight penalty system will be introduces. Basically, when you win a race, you have to add a ballast of 50kg to your car for the next race. Win the 2nd race, and you have to add an additional 50kg. Lose a race, and all the ballast you have added will be removed.

On the plus side, participants who win a race after having recieved ballast will gain an additional point for every 50kg they have added as ballast.

The new rule has been added to the "General info about the Racing Series" section.

Just in case you didn't notice, I'd like to point out that the countdown timers on the OP is broken :dunce: .

They aren't. I just haven't replaced them with new ones yet. The reason being, that thre is still the possibility of someone requesting a date change. They will be replaced soon.

I think you have to look at a longer race to say that. As from 8 laps on la sarthe i found it harder to control the Ford. The 10th lap would definitely be the maximum amount of laps for me on the SS compound (despite having around 50% left). Maybe the SM could last 15 laps, with a lower average speed. If you look at 30 laps, i have to pit twice when running on SS, with SM just once. I haven't tested this, so i can't say this for sure.

Now the amount of laps is changed to 55 i'm going for at least one stint on SM, if it won't rain of course :nervous:.

Also it's cool to see PD is going to do something about the hybrids, i hope they catch everyone who used such car 👍.

You really don't. The difference in durability between the two different compounds should be much higher than it currently is. After 10 laps, you had around 50% tire left, where as I had 45%. While I could certainly adjust my driving to be even more focused on preserving tires, I would be losing even more time per lap than I already was.

The best lap I was able to pull off with SM tires, was 4.06.3. That's 10.8 seconds slower than the fastest lap done on SS tires. On average, I lost maybe around 8 secs per lap. A pit stop for tires last roughly 20-25 seconds. And then you are able to do fast laps again, where as I'm out on half worn SM tires. Losing even more time per lap.

Not only is the durability in tires completely off. The amount of grip lost relative to the amount of rubber you have left, is also generally exaggerated.

The tiremodel in GT5 is by no means the worst out there, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

Not sure about my tyre strategy for la sarthe. And where did you get the information from that PD is going to do something about people creating hybrids and people who drive them or have received them from friends?

Agreed. Only makes this race more difficult to plan out for tyre strategies.

It's on the news page. PD has taken notice of all the cheating in their TT seasonal events. I say good riddance to anyone who gets banned. Happy to see PD taking the offensive on this.

We can only hope that all the cheaters in the TT events get banned and locked up 👍 .

Hybrid cars in a nutshell:

Surely something tells you that the files for these cars have been tampered with? Well hybrids probably aren't all that bad, some people use them to increase bhp values to a realistic level that could be achieved in real life through an engine swap. But 1,000,000,000 bhp cars and using hybrids in TT events clearly are wrong

EDIT: More hybrid action guys? Here's another video where the sound barrier I believe was broken xD. LANGUAGE WARNING:

Its about time PD:nervous: Whats a hybrid car:indiff:

It's cars that have been altered beyond the normal tuning possibilities. It's people who are hacking into their GT5 disc, and altering data. In other words, it's illigal, and ruining the online community.

They can create Civics with the engine from a Red Bull for an example.

Give me a yes to share this around or to make any changes. Tried to keep it as close to the info in the Op as I could such as what you called the different races etc.

I'm sending my PC in for an upgrade today, and as such, I will not be able to respond to anyone on GTP for 1-2 days. If you have anything urgent, then PM me on PSN.

The practice sessions the two following evenings, still stand.

Thanks for shearing MSTER232, explains it a lot. Don't way people want to cheat:nervous:
Don't worry, I don't think anyone's going to bother to cheat for these series, right guys :D ?
