I want to make sure that you know when the race actually is. At 17.00GMT (that's currently 18.00 in England due to daylight savings) the lobby opens. One hour after that, the race begins. So in other words. The race does not begin before 19.00 in England. Does that change your situation at all?

It makes things better and more likely. Thank you very much.

I'm not sure if i'll join tonight. Today our queen "retired" and we now have a king, so there are a lot of events today/tonight in the Netherlands. Yesterday night was great as well :).

If you don't join tonight, you will be punished! Severely :mischievous:!

Are any standard classic race cars allowed too? i might have mis-read the op if i have missed.

We talked a bit about allowing the Ford GT40 Mark II into the championship. However, seeing as no one was interested in using it, it kind of fell of the grid. If you want to use it, you have to bring it to one of the practice sessions before the race, so we can determine whether it fits in with the compitition.

I am of course talking about the standard 20 million Ford.

And our 2nd last practice session is up and running. Room number is 1472-4710-9995-5398-1282.

So is there one race every four or five practice sessions?

Not sure I follow.

The number of practice sessions vary. When I update the thread with a new championship, there will usually be about a month until the first race to allow people to sign up. This gives us time to practice. It's rare that we have practice sessions between the races in a single championship. However, as we have a gap between the first and last two races, I'll probably host more sessions after our first race weekend.

ARGH!!

Why do I include Monza in my championships? I know I hate driving on it.
It's almost as if I enjoy inflicting suffering upon myself :D.

Hopefully we'll have more drivers for the practice session on thursday. Thanks to TomBrady and M8h3r for joining this one.

Sorry I couldn't attend Andy, was already signed up for a race:)

Why do you not like Monza?

Will do some on my own:)

I'll join that practise session for sure. Unless internet connection problems arise.

I've just came across a great short movie clip which suits here well i think:

Great stuff!

Surprising good quality considering the year. Though the bad framerate makes it look like he's driving slow.
Track sure was different back then. Would be nice if we got some of these old layouts in GT6. Would love the old layout of Spa as well.

I do like Monza, its one of my favourite tracks to drive, not that I'm an expert. Its allso very historic, in cars and motorcycles.

I did the race M8h3r, not my best had to pit lots of times for damage, those invisible walls again PD:nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous:

Great clip MattieM, course has changed a lot over the years. Has anyone seen the program about the horrific crash that happened the year before.
Mike Hawthorn was killed a couple of years later, in car accident.

Some classic track layout would be great, but the safety was terrible:nervous:

Talking about the crash after the pit exit? Or was it at the Dunlop Chicane. Can't remember, but i do recall seeing/reading about a large crash resulting in the death of a lot of people.

Just as a headsup, I'm probably not going to come tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Wasn't that the one with the Mercedes that crashed on the mullsane flipping into the crowd killing some 56 odd people?

The crash was just before the pit lane entry, in front thousands packed into the grandstand. I will have a look for the program, its very good, quite moving.

Thats true, i believe the engine and some other parts flew into the crowd at high speed. 84 people (driver included) didn't survive sadly :(. There's footage available from that crash on youtube, i won't post it here.

Older layouts would be awesome, but a pain in the *ss for PD to make. Now the boarding along the track is a barrier where the cars crash into. The really old tracks didn't have barriers like that, so PD will have to make invisible barriers.

See you guys tonight!
