I had assumed races were on fridays. Actually, this race was too early for me anyways, it would've been 0500 here when practice started. Luckily the next races start later.

Has anyone raced the cars at Spa yet? How long will the race last?

Which is why I tell people to read the entire OP. No misunderstandings that way. Anyway, we've already had a couple of practices on Spa. I can't really say how long it will be, but I would estimate around 2 hours.

Weather on? Don't forget if it is then the laps could be longer.

As the commentators in the WEC race said. It wouldn't be Spa if weather didn't play a part.

Thought as much. Such a unique track. Could be monsoon season at one end and bone dry through Eau rouge.

Is it possible to move the start time of the La Sarthe race to an earlier time of the day, say 10 GMT? I know this start time won't suit the american participant :nervous:. Otherwise i'm afraid i can't join that race.

Guys! Check the news page!

I hope we'll get to see something of GT6. At least its great to see that Silverstone will be featured in the GT series 👍.

I'm sorry, but I won't change any dates or times this late. Besides, the lighting conditions in my apartment aren't suited for night racing at that time.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(:(:(

I really hope this race is on a Saturday because if its only ever Friday I will never be able to race.

because they're evil. There is no other possible explanation.

They must be. IMO the V12 vantage is the most beautiful Aston, I also can't think of any other cars of the top of my head that is more beautiful, maybe the 458.

Just wow.

There are very few things in life that I wouldn't do to get my hands on one of these sexy beasts.

The car on that photo is a V8 vantage :). I don't like the 458 at all, it's plain hideous. All current models of ferrari are ugly, except the 599 (GTO). Don't get me started on the LaFerrari.... I love the "older" models like the 550 maranello, the 360 modena or the 355.

If money wouldn't be an issue, i would try to get my hands on a Pagani Zonda F. Or a McLaren F1. Or a jaguar XJ220. Or a Bugatti EB110 SS. Or a Porsche carrera GT. Maybe all of them :). Currently i'm quite happy with this one:

My front right tyre is slowly losing pressure, i'm going to get me two new front tyres this afternoon :ouch:.

To stay OT :):
As i have to drive with 50 kgs of additional ballast, am i allowed to move the ballast as i like/can?

Car porn is best porn :).

The Lamborghini Monza is quite a looker too.

How did I not notice that the Vantage was lacking the air intakes on the hood? In any case, I absolutely love both the V8 and V12 Vantage. I just think the addition of the air intakes make it look so much meaner. And a V12 is just better than a V8 :D.

I think the F458 is gourgous as well. But I dislike Ferrari's arrogance, and I'd probably take an F40 over the 458. McLaren F1 is of course my all time favorite, so I call dips on it. Hands off!

And you can never go wrong with a BMW. Very nice looking car you have there. And yes, you may distribute the 50kgs in any way you like.

Great news that we will get Silverstone:tup:

Why do Aston Martin have to stop production, of a very beautiful car:nervous:

I might have to reschedule our remaining races, as I have work from 19.00 to 02.30 every work day for the remainder of this month. I have to check if this includes friday nights, so I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Edit: I can confirm that I will be at work friday night. Will update thread tomorrow with new race dates for the last two races. Will probably move the Spa race to saturday, and the La Sarthe race to next saturday. Feel free to give input.

Just watched the Silverstone presentation. A number of very interestring features being announced, but also a number of key areas that they didn't talk about.

I'm excited about the new engine/physics and tire model. Sounds and looks great thus far. The improved UI is also much needed. The track count looks good, and with more tracks added as DLC, we're sure to get a very big amount of real world tracks. However, I'm worried about how all this DLC will be handled. Will it be Season Pass? If so, that's BS.

The car count looks staggering, but I'm worried about whether standard cars will be present, and if so, to what degree. We can see a couple of cars in the GT6 trailer that were standards in GT5, but have been upgraded for GT6. So there is a slight chance that all cars will be premium. We'll probably find out at E3. Also hoping that all premium cars will feature working fuel gauges.

Little things I've noticed. After having seen a ton of screenshots and the Silverstone presentation, I notice that the temperature changes. Whether or not they are fixed to the tracks, or they vary, I don't know. But it could mean that track surface temperature is actually taken into account in GT6.
The course creator has been given a huge boost. During the presentation, the showed an overview of a fairly large city and country area, and they stated that we could make our own track through this enviroment.

They are strongly hinting at a full livery editor, but I'm not entirely sure yet. I really hope it's not limited to just body parts and wheels.

A last and very interesting thing is that during the press conference, they specifically mentioned that they were aware that a number of people organize Racing Series and Championships. And that they would improve upon this by supporting it as a feature in-game. Now that sounds awesome :D!
Will hopefully make it that much easier and more entertaining to host events.

perhaps it will even feature flag rules and qualifying?

The things that I'm still very curious about are...

The AI.
Standard cars.
Weather and day/night cycles on all tracks.
Flag rules.
Damage model.
And how DLC will be handled.

Either way, I'm very excited about the game.

Edit: And the OP has been added with new dates for the last two races.

I'm wondering too if all cars will be premium in GT6, and i'm curious to the on-line part of GT6. I hope the sound is improved, not that GT5 is bad but i miss "details" in GT5.

About the new dates, i can't join the race saturday and i'm not sure yet about the 25th. I'm going to play golf that day, i don't know if i'll be back before the race starts.

Did you change the dates? I could have swore that Spa was on the 17th (tomorrow), and Le Mans was on the 18th (saturday).

Read my May 15th post.

I need a headcount on who's attending the races. Because I'm not going to bother with hosting races this long for just 4-5 people.

I'm fine with new race time Andy:tup:

Watched the trailer, looks good, but PD do how to make an impressive trailer. Hopefully all the new things promised, will be all good, inhance the game, make it better.

I agree on everything you guys have said, personally I would like all premium cars. Better damage, AI, online, tyre wear on different compounds. Wind flags are always blowing.

Silverstone looks great, lets see what else we get from the real world.

Hopefully PD won't let their customers down, lets see what happens with GT6:)
