Doubt ill be there for opening, but will get there eventually. My dads cooking a curry or something.

Session is open. Room number is 1472-6118-3830-2746-8757.

Just as a headsup, I'm probably not going to come tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Duely noted. Trouble with your wheel? Getting it fixed before the race on sunday?

Just finish this race and ill be on. Will disappear for dinner at some point though.

Edit: dinner. Be about 30 mins.

Yeah. Was a great session. But I'm shutting it down now.

A few updates for the race info regarding Daytona. When exiting the Pit, drivers have to use the little pit exit on the left, right after regaining control of their car. It's a narrow road, that rejoins the track right after the first turns. This is to prevent a crash between traffic that will be going into the 1st turn at high speed.

Also, be very careful when the race starts. Our cars will be on an incline, which makes throttle input very important.

I tried using that little thing a couple of times. Was difficult. I'd recommend anyone who hasn't driven it yet to have a little practice.

Nailed it. Seems I have the starts perfect. And to think, you guys were bashing me for throttle control.

Ok see you guys there

Having trouble getting a Ferrari might not be able to race :(

It wasn't anything PD related. Just my own stupidity. I used a different email for the account, as I already had (gtp_)m8h3r so needed a third and I can't for the life of me remember it. When the YLOD happened I lost it. I have the data backed up so if I do remember it ill have my stuff back but alas no success as of yet.

Shame I couldn't challenge Hugo for the win. On the penultimate lap I badly messed up Ascari, couldn't get it straight going onto the back straight. Put it into the gravel on exit of Ascari which made me burnout for ages and nearly put it into the wall. I then flew off at the parabolica. I estimate I lost 4-5 seconds doing this. I then crossed the line for the white flag and the gap dropped from 7.5 to 6.9. I could have gotten that down to 2.something and really pressured Hugo. Ah well. After 2 crashes, 3 pit stops and heavy fuel management towards to end I'm happy I was only 7 seconds off of first.

I had good pace for the race and can take positives from it to the next race. Especially Daytona where I was quick in practice. I now have an extra 6BHP too and Hugo has an extra 50KG of ballast.

Lastly well done Hugo. May have gotten a tad lucky with my penultimate lap but you drove a solid race. I really pushed hard in this race. Possibly the hardest I ever have on GTPlanet and yet you beat me. That deserves a hardy pat on the back. Then well done Andy rounding out the podium. Was good racing by everyone. Seems people are less likely to cut across you when they know Heavy Damage is on. (Except MattieM at the chicane after curve grande of course :sly:)

I had a good race, one of best I have had for ages:) No rain, or darkness, so I could see fine. Only pitted once, about lap 15, because of damage, need tyres too.

Hopefully today's race will go just as well:tup:

I don't know what to say about this race, at least again my apologies to m8h3r for crashing into him. I was distracted by Andy, who was at the right side of me going a bit off track. I was using the view right button at that moment, by the time i was looking forward i was just crossing the bridge and realised i missed my braking point by quite a distance.

Up to lap no. 30 i was doing fine with 20 sec behind the leader at 3rd place, but the last 4 laps where a big disaster for me with multiple crashes.

Why didn't PD modelled the distance markers in Monza like those from Nurburgring GP? It would have saved me quite some trouble :)

Anyway, good job to Hugo for taking the win.

Like I said last night, I don't ever want to race with you aga.... nah it's fine. It happens. I missed a braking point 3 laps later with nobody near me so I can't exactly speak. :dunce:

I enjoyed the race to some extend. Which is surprising, given that I expected to absolutely hate it :). Plenty of position changes, and managed to do a fairly consistant race. Although at a slower pace than both Hugo, M8h3r and Mattie. Looking forward to Daytona.

In case anyone is interested in watching the awesomeness of the WEC.

Urgh. I'm going to epic fail today. Too hot and I don't do warm weather. It's like 20 here, I don't do 10+

Horrible horrible race. Absolute 🤬. Wasnt because of the cars, or people, or track. Well except T1 which is also absolute 🤬.

Where to start. Lets go lap 1. All seemed fine, ignoring the wildlife that took my room as its natural habitat. Lap two, T1 I run wide. Smack the wall. Damage. Too much to drive with. So I pit. Have a couple of so so laps.

Closing up a little to John. Decided on him being my target for the first part of the race.

Caught up about lap 8, a lap of pressing, then pass round the first banked turn. Get to the chicane. Take too much speed. Catch a curb, then grass, then more grass, then wall. Damage again. Too much to drive, on this occasion I had engine damage.

Next 6 I think laps I don't even remember. Nothing exciting happened. Then I got grass after the fast left. Smacked wall, again. This time had 2 corners damage, one heavy, one light and engine. This damage was incredibly bad though. Below 60 odd I could put full lock on and keep it level, over 60 it would turn right regardless.

That lap took some 6 minutes. Actually had to park on the entrance to the oval so all 3 participants could pass because I knew I'd be impossibly difficult to manoeuvre around on the oval.

Then just so so laps, not near anyone. 2 laps behind. Then lap 28 I think it was I crashed. Again. This rounded off 10 times I've gone off. 5 of them damaging me.

Highlight came on lap 30, Mattie had already finished and I came flying round the bend. Saw his car too late. Slammed brakes. Couldn't stop in time. Crunched into the back of him. I was never able to finish. 2 laps with 60 seconds left. So I decided to have some fun and try to push the AI driver into the wall. Payback for Monza.

Hahaha. Mattie deserved it :D.
But sorry about your misfortune. You were doing great in practice, but it appears my plan of sending an army of bugs to your house worked.

Good race today, just kept a steady drive:) Had a couple a couple of wide exits . Only got damaged once, when I missed my braking point for the chicane, looking behind to see were Andy was:scared:

Hopefully Spa will be good race also.

I had assumed races were on fridays. Actually, this race was too early for me anyways, it would've been 0500 here when practice started. Luckily the next races start later.

Has anyone raced the cars at Spa yet? How long will the race last?
