My problem, besides being a really lousy driver, is actually staying awake long enough to make it around the course...actually woke up about 45 minutes ago to the sound of roving engines. Looked at the screen to see the car I was testing sitting in the sand between the first two tunnels...elapsed time 2hours 36 minutes....

lol, I hardly make a lap either, always restarting half way through because of my inconsistency.

Hahaha ...good !! The same for me several times.... Hahaha !! A big real driving not simulated sleep.

I was up working on this till 6am last night... My tune may suck but my driving improved for sure. XD

Hmmm under 2 minutes, I thought that people can make it! Now, I hope that I can make it, I'm still 1.7 seconds away and have not really driven in a car just put some 3-5 laps to all FF cars I find in the UCD. I want to 1000 car trophy sometime anyway, so I just buy most FF car that show up and started to give them an oil change...

The car RJ and I are working on will be under 2 minutes by the end of the day, so that will make 2.
As for the car I've chosen, I still haven't decided if I'm going to submit or not. It depends on how far RJ and I go with our tune.
If there's time, then maybe, but the Adrenaline Junkie tune takes first priority for me. Not submitting my own tune, won't bother me in the least, so it's really just a factor of time, care and effort.

How much is attributed to the Tune? Much of that time is learning the track and car, not to forget the line you take. Do you foresee the Tune to be sub 2 min for most testers?

Would you mind adding a specific parts list? With all the cars that we will be driving I just want to make sure that getting each one set up properly is as easy as possible.

He's not a tester in that he'll be testing all the cars.
He is a tester in that I'm making him test settings for my car so I can actually enter a car without having a PS3.
He apparently has also done some stuff for a car of his own.

I've found a FTO '94 GR yesterday but seems that only GPR is ok. This GR is lighter but very slow.

Great info!!! I'm glad to see some of the Tuners are being genuinely helpful to other Tuners to find the most competitive cars. This type of help will make the Shootout more competitive. Great stuff, keep it up guys...
