Wallbanger's 1st annual million credit FF Summer Shootout!(6/19/11 final 7/17/11)

I've found a FTO '94 GR yesterday but seems that only GPR is ok. This GR is lighter but very slow.

I suggest you check the mileage on the car. It seems these cars are more prone to wearing out than some others. I've noticed very large differences in the PP of two cars of the exact same make, model and year when bought from the UCD. Not sure in some cases that even a full engine rebuild will bring them back to the same PP.
I urge tuners to list the cars PP prior to any restrictions are added to bring them back to the 500 PP limit. An extra 5 or more PP pre restriction can make a very large difference in the final cars performance.

New to GTP, but certainly not to this game.. Been playing since the original. I would love to submit a car OR drive... I must admit I'm a bit lost on all the acronyms and the process in which to go about all this... In real life I have my SCCA license, and currently compete in solo II and club racing events. I've been to the skip barber racing school and the bonderaunt school of racing. I've also participated in three Marlboro racing schools, and a BMW racing school (included w the purchase of my M3). Held at the silverdome. I'd live to be part of your tester team and think I'd be a good addition. You can contact me directly at Hutchissonbrad@yahoo.com. (please forgive my ignorance to all this.) lol.

Welcome to my zoo sins1er!:D
I'll try to get you an email soon.
My initial post in this thread has the rules we are using for this event. In short if you enter a car as a tuner you would post all details of how you set the car up, either here in this thread, or in your own Tuner Garage thread. Those who volunteer as test drivers will make hot laps offline on the Grand Valley Speedway (GVS) with all the cars/tunes(setups) that are entered, and post their best results here.

Feel free to participate as either a tuner or driver, just let us know which you prefer and Onboy will add you to the list in the second post of this thread.

Thank desp. Read the requirements... Being in club racing in the SCCA I like what you are doing here... I think I'd much rather drive. Will there be feedback between testers and builders? I'd guess it'd have to stay annonymous to avoid collusion....
I just know how I like my cars set up, ya know? So I assume this will all take place through the ps3 (duh) I just have never done any of the OLR before. But I've beat this game into the ground and need so new interaction...

...and maybe if the winner is in the Midwest they could come drive one of my cars in a live NASA event... Just throwing that out there.

The tunes once submitted here are locked and no changes are allowed to them during the shootout. That being said a short review by you about the way each car drove and what might be done to it to better fit your style of driving would be quite welcome here in the thread. Part of the reason we set the shootout up in this manner was to hopefully get a cross section of different driving styles and skill levels. Obviously its unlikely that one tune on any one car will be a perfect fit for every driver.

Interesting concept... Why not let the tuners drive? ( just playing devils advocate. ; ) I AM interested. So when u have time just email me so we can avoid wasting all these people time with things THEY already know. Be well... Sins.

Would that be winning tuner or fastest driver?

Why not let us drive? Well... Let's just say we're all overcompetitive and think our cars are the best. Otherwise we wouldn't be making you lot settle it for us. :dopey:

I don't just think it, my car is the best! ;)
If I'm also a tester, my car would be 3 seconds faster than everything else......👍

Yeah but did you actually remember to tighten the lug nuts this time Doc?

I guess if yer willing to come to Ohio it could be for the top tuner and driver, wouldn't cost any more to switch drivers in the middle of an event. I still need someone to walk me through how to gain access to the vehicles and get started on this thing... I have no idea about the OLR portion of this game.

Well……we could get someone to 'dupe' the cars (Not me, have no clue how to do that) and distribute them to the testers, saving us a hell of a lot of cash…

I've been buying extras of what I can find in the UCD , but remember I can only gift one car a day(thanks PD:irked:)and have no idea of how to dupe. Afraid you drivers are out the extra chips for those cars found in the NCD.

That's kinda what I was thinking...can u gift that car to a tester and have them have it for an allotted amount of time then gift it back? What if there is like 50 cars? It could ruin my entire bank roll

Well…look at the 2nd post (?), there's only 10 or so tunes submitted, and most will probably be Integra Type R's…

Yes you are, because people try to save space by not adding pictures of the cars, so in case you didn't see, there's 2 Integras and 1 FTO.

Ok, either I'm retarded (which is entirely possible) or my phone is... I see one link, with one car. And no option to go to another page or car. Am I the only one seeing this??!!

Chances are, it's your phone. Try looking at it from a laptop, if it's not working, then I'll try to fix it…

Good, I look forward to reading your review, as it'll give me a target time to aim for, as well as hearing about some of the car's characteristics. And remember, all tests will be done on Grand Valley Speedway (full).
