I've yet to do the Tesla ... but here's the other two:-

MazdaMX-5GTGUNMETAL003-W800x450.jpg

Mazda Eunos Roadster / MX-5 / Miata Super Lap : GT GUNMETAL 003-W

Sprayed the Mazda MX-5 1.8 RS (NB, J) '98 i used in the seasonal then went back out to see what it looks like ... does vary nicely according to light and shade with a purpley blue tint to it. I like to use gunmetals (and all manner of dark greys) on standard cars with lots of jaggies - makes them less obvious!

ClioRS11GTJAPANESE 002-C(Chrome)800x450.jpg

Renault Sport Clio R.S. Super Lap : GT JAPANESE 002-C (Chrome)

The Clio sprayed in the chrome !! ... It's quite a dark one and actually doesn't look bad on the car ... Different at least! ... going to be good on wheels tho. 👍

GT JAPANESE 002-C is still a little too much for me to use it on a car body but I've already resprayed wheels that I'd previously "chromed." It looks particularly good on wheels whose face remains unfinished or those whose hoops remain chrome.

Phewwwww ... there's a lot of dark blue's to choose from !!! ... but sticking with Metallics to match "Deep Impact Blue" (the new colour on the 2014 ford Focus line up - which replaces Performance Blue from the games' 2013 Focus) then the obvious choice would be: Ford Shelby GT500 '13 : Deep Impact Blue Metallic / White Stripes ... BUT - that's not a useable colour :banghead:

So ... i plumped for: Tonic Blue Metallic (Honda City Turbo II '83 : Tonic Blue Metallic : Cr. 12,380 : 3 Choices)

The different lighting in either photo doesn't help ... but in the game it looks quite good ... see what you think and maybe other's will have better choices ????

:)
Thanks. Man
It's great, but not perfect
i think Toyota FT-1 (deep blue) is better than yours but it also not perfect
so we have to wait for update for deep blue impact (M) lol

Any good brown color for rims? Those from cheaper cars are preferred. The color is like this:

work_meister_M1R_brown.jpg

I tried Sepang Bronze, Silica Breath, and Millennium Jade; all of them look terrible. :)

I'm afraid you're probably out of luck. Sepang Bronze is really the best bet because anything darker ends up looking muddy black (especially on wheels with thin spokes such as the BBS LM-R that the one shown resembles. You might try Barriquerot Metallic from the M5 or Marrone Dino Met. from, you guessed it, the Ferrari Dino...neither car is cheap but choices are limited. Tunisian Tan Metallic from the Cuda 440 6 Pack may also come close. Good luck.

Correction, Barriquerot Metallic is optional on the BMW 330i, and not the M5. Sorry for any confusion.

@Jawgant

No chance for a non seasonal Kirby, perhaps? Oh well.

But with the Warthog? Not a perfect fit of the hog, but the color, when shone in bright light, will give.. well, let me just say..

Master Chief from 'Halo: Combat Evolved' hue.

THANK YOU!

The mitsubishi lancer 74 has a colour called Aso Red. It looks chocolate brown. Almost exactly
like those rims. Car is cheap too.

Seasonal Paint Prizes ... Part II

Got stuck in and did the Tesla at last ... here's the colour:-

TeslaRoadster08 GTOLDGENERATION002-W800x450.jpg

Tesla Motors Tesla Roadster Super Lap : sprayed in the prize, GT OLD GENERATION 002-W

Nice shade ... if you're into greens ... also, while i'm at it:-

DiabloGT298GTMETALLIC007-W800x450.jpg

Lamborghini Diablo GT2 Super Lap : Sprayed in GT METALLIC 007-W

I hated driving this Lambo ... but it does look good in the prize colour! Worth winning for the ole' collection ... i sometimes spray wheels in crazy colours just for the hell of it ... might try this one if i can think of a colour it would go with ???

LotusElise111RRaceCar04Matte Red800x450.jpg
Lotus Elise Racing Car Super Lap : Elise 111R Race Car '04 in the prize paint; Matte Red

I'm really not a fan of reds ... but this one is different ... looks good on race cars!

Any chips that match or come close to the Volvo Polestar Blue color?

Hmmmmm ... only 3 real choices that i know of ... none of which are perfect:-

GT FLUORESCENCE 001-C ... From the High End Performance G37 Seasonal

Lancia Stratos '73 : Azzurro : Cr. 375,000 : 5 Paint Choices

Triumph Spitfire : French Blue : Cr. 17,200 : 10 Paint Choices

... All are pale blue solids.

The only other choices are:-

Lotus Elan S1 '62 : French Blue : Cr.57,100 : 8 Choices OR:-
Lotus Europa S.2 '68 : French Blue : Cr. 30,000 : 9 Choices

Jaguar XKR-S '11 : French Racing Blue : Cr. 175,000 : 16 Choices

... But these are further away i reckon :(

The coolest colour in the game I think can be found on an old Mini Cooper if this is helpful. Hawaiian Blue Metallic. Beautiful! I had a fleet of 350GT's and Corvette Coupes in GT5. I had to keep buying the bloody minis to keep supplies up!

You should have done what I used to do with GT5... Use two accounts and gift the colors back & forth. Before gifting, I would copy the save to a flash drive, then after the "gifting" I would replace the new save with the one from the flash drive and BINGO... The colors were back via the old save. I did this with cars, outfits, horns...

I really miss getting the daily chip gifts. That was more important to me than the payout bonus.

Many thanks for your reply. I'm guessing the G37 Seasonal is history so I can't explore that. I'll definitely check the other two out though.

When I was gifted the Jaguar ingame I brought it in French Racing Blue and that's what got me thinking about the Polestar color. It's a nice color from the Jaguar but in my eyes it's a bit pale also.

Yes mate the G37's gone i'm afraid ... and the Jag's FR Blue is too far out from Polestar ... if only the Volvo's actually had Polestar ... it's a cracking Blue ! :banghead:

Has anyone found pale/pastel pinks similar to the old Coral of Buicks/Caddys/Chevys?

Nothing in my inventory i'm afraid ... only the Pink Matte and Chrome ... am sure there's a pale pink out there somewhere though ... will keep my lil' eyes open :dopey: ... or hopefully someone can think of one.

With the lack of a legendary color for my Mustang Boss, has anyone found something of a Grabber Orange?

My current Boss (stock and all), is using Electric Orange, from Ford Focus ST '06. It's nice, but it needs a little yellow.

Also, a red mimicking the unpaintable, unchippable Alfa Romeo TZ3 Zagato Stradale.

So far the best Orange i've found is Vitamin C from the Plymouth AAR Cuda 340 Six Barrel '70 (Cr. 110,000 : 25 (!!) Other Choices) ... but i think the original is even deeper than that! ... I've sprayed an NSX in Fresh Blue & painted the wheels in Orange Metallic (Source: Toyota 86 GT '12) ... that looked good but not quiet correct for Gulf colours ... maybe i'll try the Vitamin C on some wheels ..................

View attachment 124339
Here we go .... The GT '05 is in Fresh Blue and the (RAYS TE37) Wheels are in Vitamin C ... The combination compares quite well with fotos of the original 60's Gulf colours. Meanwhile i'm still saving up Cr. 20,000,000 to buy the '69 GT40 Race Car !!! :nervous:
Try Arancio Atlas (Lamborghini LP640-4) and Azurro Dino or Yas Marina Blue (Ferrari Dino and BMW M4)

You could give hugger orange a try, off of some of the old chevy muscle cars.

Maybe Giallo Positano from one of the old Fiat 500's (perhaps '72) for the Grabber Orange? I cannot help you with the TZ3 red.
