Battleship Grey is a dull Grey usually .. so the only ones i can think of are:-

Abarth 500 '09 : Grigio Campovolo : Cr. 29,500 ... (Not Matte but a bit dull)

And:-

Matte Light Grey from the BMW M4 Coupe Seasonal Event

Abarth 500 color looks similar But abit too light. I Need a darker one.

Money saving tips!

I just blew a wad on the Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 only to discover some paint chips are IDENTICAL to some less expensive cars. I am basing this on all views in the paint booth, switching back and forth, and seeing NO changes in color or reflectivity. At the same time, I was pleasantly surprised to discover one I expected to be identical was actually different!

FT-86 "Orange Metallic" = Lotus's "Chrome Orange Metallic" (not to be confused with their "Chrome Orange").
FT-86 "Chameleon Purple" = TVR's "Reflex Purple."

And surprisingly,
FT-86 "Matte Black" IS NOT identical to Lexus LFA "Matte Black!"

You've got me intriuged! ... but do you mean the Elise "Chrome Orange Metallic" or the Esprit "Chrome Orange Metallic" - because i think they are also different to each other in the same way as the FT-86 Concept '09 "Orange Metallic" is different to the 86 GT '12 "Orange Metallic" ... just to confuse matters even more ... lol :nervous:

About the purples ... I think you're right ... the two are really similar ... and also i actually prefer the FT-86 Matte Black to the LFA's.

Wow, really???

I don't remember where I got the Chrome Orange Metallic--I just know it was from a Lotus. I'm flabbergasted that they have different Chrome Orange Metallics in the same Manufacturer, and same with the Toyotas! I'm heading to the dealership now!

I can't detect any difference in the purples or the oranges I have.

I wish I knew which Matte Black came from which car. One is blacker, but also slightly more reflective. The other is more gray.

I've noticed some paints look identical on some cars but on a different car will look slightly different. One I can recall off the top of my head is Rossa Monza and Gran Turismo Red Metallic from the Mazda Furai. The look identical for most cars I've previewed but occasionally the Rossa Monza is noticeably darker.

There's a couple other paint pairs like this and at least one of those is in the orange family.

Lol .... no doubt about it ... the only conclusion is that they're complicated !! ... i'm going to have to take a few pics me thinks :sly:

I'd like to see a comparison of the two Matte Blacks side by side! I would do it, but I can't remember which chip came from the FT-86 and which came from the LFA.

Is the darker one from Lexus?

From these two shots (unedited) it looks like the LFA's Matte Black is darker ....

... But make a swatch from similarly lit panels and the Toyota Matte Black turns out to be darkest.

Both are unusual and look great on certain cars don't you think ?? :)

Nero Nemesis ... Haven't got that one yet ... noticed it though (It's in the original list at the start i think & the Mega Blue & Assorted Colours List further back) ... got the car for the Blu Hera instead ... soon as i get it will compare it too :sly:
 
One of my favorite colors is Deep Burnt Orange Metallic from the Plymouth AAR Cuda. I also like the Matte Dark Silver from one of the seasonals and Nero Pegaso from the Aventador. :cheers:
 
Camellia Red is an awesome red/orange metallic/color shift. One of the coolest colors in the game. You can obtain it from the RX8 concept. It really pops on certain cars like the Diablo GT and the premium Ford GT. I highly suggest you guys check it out. Also do anyone know where to get Estoril Blue? I had it in GT5 but didn't know how I got it. It's gotta be the best blue in the game.

Searched my Mega Blue List (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...are-your-favourite-paint-chips.294421/page-13) and the only Estoril Blue i've yet found is:-

BMW M Coupe '98 : Estorilblau Metallic : Cr. 78,900 : 8 Choices

This ones a deep metallic blue.

Update: Also; Caterham Seven Fireblade '02 : Estoril Blue : Cr. 60,000 : 12 Choices

That one's a Dark Blue ... not sure how i missed it ... DOH! ... both the above were in GT5.

I have a Z06 painted that color in GT5. When I get home I'll fire it up and double check. I'm 99% sure it's Estoril Blue. I'll let you know. Perhaps they changed the name in GT6, that's always a possibility as some car names have changed also.

Thanks a lot man, I absolutely love that blue. I think it's even cooler than Europablau, which is pretty cool to begin with. Man I am stoked to have that color. I used the one chip I had in GT5 and could never find it again. Consider yourself on my good list if we can ever send cars in this game you get whatever you want. (I hope they put a credit limit on it again haha:))

Hey do you know of any golds that would look good on rims? I have tried the one on the old corvette but it wasn't doing it for me.

Yw :cheers: .... but i'm afraid the only two Golds i've made note of are:-

Nissan Cube X '98 : Frosty Gold Metallic : Cr. 14,180 : 5 Choices (Rare Gold!)
Nissan Fairlady Z 280Z-L 2 Seater (S130) '78 : Gold Metallic : Cr. 38,000 : 7 Choices

You'll have to see if they're good enough for wheels ... 👍 👎
