I think it looks worse than in first version of GT5


in GT6 it looks more like snow than rain in that video from Munich O_o

and about that wiper's framerate / tearing i won't rather mention...

Snow in GT5. My cousin & I were amazed to see these weather conditions appear in an online race we had with karts at the Nurburgring. Track got super slippery, but there was no settling of water or snow on the track or elsewhere, and no spray from the wheels. Was still very cool, and in no way was it a glitch, it was a very rare randomly occurring weather pattern, that not everyone has seen. I only saw it this once.

I'm quite jelly of that 900 degree steering... Why would an arcade racer like Drive Club have it but not a simulation racer like Gran Turismo? It looks quite good, and I'm really tired of seeing such a limited steering angle in GT5/6. Get with the program, Kaz.
 
Well the steering looks funny though when using a pad with a full 900 degrees. I noticed the same thing is Assetto Corsa :)
 
The only thing they missed in GT5 was simulating thunders. And the fireworks in some tracks like La Sarthe and SSR7 lack of their sound. That would be amazing!
 
The fireworks definitely have sound in GT5. Thunder would be cool, but difficult to do convincingly. Unless we're only expecting Hollywood realism, of course, then PD could just use the same canned effects as they do. :dopey:

I agree. and as for the rain that hit the windshield, they downgraded the quality / resolution with the updates. It looked so much better when the game was without any patches, when the game just came out. And as for the wet asphalt, just more shiny, so that sure sucked. Even GT3 had better quality.

Something like Special Route 7 in Nurburgring would kill the PS3's performance, in my opinion, same with the water on the paint. If something that I really want too, but we're gonna have to wait for see how it is at the end.

I have seen it snow in SSR7, but never on the Nurburgring!
