So, what the difference between WEC and ELMS? I'm confuseded.

ELMS no longer has the LMP1 class competing and the races have been shortened from six hours, to three hours. Like Ross said too, all the races are held on Euro circuits only. I don't know the reasons behind why when the WEC was created and the ELMS (or LMS as it used to be called) was considerably downsized. It's pretty much used as a support series for the big events on the Sunday.

What a wet day today. 👎
Cars were leaving the track all over the place. I hope it dries up by tomorrow. All six hours of the race are being shown on MotorsTV, too. Coverage begins at 11:30am with the race starting at 12:00.

Had a good day marshalling today. My post had to deal with the Felbemayr Porsche that crashed hard in the first session.

And for us North Americans, we get FIA WEC.com and Audi TV live streams, which is great, but it's a shame there's no dedicated TV network covering WEC and the ELMS in the states.

Because the only things our fellow countrymen understand are NASCAR and football. I'm just glad I'm able to follow the race at all.

Last season I went around forever searching for feeds of eurosport. I even would have paid for their online viewer, but they didn't offer it to US citizens.

Thank goodness both ELMS and WEC have begun the practice of streaming the races.

And to be fair, in the US literally everything is about money, so sometimes I can't even find baseball and football coverage due to regional blackouts--despite the fact that the games are sold out. Disgusting.

Where exactly? I'm on the site and I don't see any live video streams for this race.

The homepage gets updated with an option to go to the livestream page once the livestream is up. If there is no current live action, there is no livestream opton.

At silverstone. Well, I got here just after 9, we already had some really light showers, would be surprised if it stayed dry. Windy though. Met John hindhaugh from RLM, nice bloke. Alex wurz - not so much. Pleasantly surprised by the paddock access, this is the first big event I've been to at Silverstone since they built the wing.

However, on the downside, I left my sandwiches in the car which is a long long walk away, so the question now is, do I bend over and take it from the food vendors...

What a boring Pace Car. :)

Edit: Mark Webber signed 5 year contract to race with Porsche. Guess he got enough of Vettel.

Great looking day, it's dry and sunny. But you know better, Matski, you're there! How far away is the car? Could you run there and back before the race starts in just over 5 minutes?

Have a good day at the track.

Rumors of Webber being signed to Porsche for 5 years starting from next year!!!

I love that in car shot in the Rebellion car. It really shows how the wheel arches block left/right vision.

Alex McNish is though into the lead ahead of Alex Wurz and Alex Davidson...
