Looks like there's two big battles coming up for the lead of classes. Audi's for LMP1 and Overall and then there's the Ferrari and Corvette for GT.

EDIT: Three battles - LMP2 are at it, too.
 
Wish they would stop announcing when GT cars "hold up" or "pull right in front" of the Audis and other prototypes. As if the GT cars don't have their own races going on...

On the other hand, I would block that Corvette driver, too. What the hell, man. Battling for pole and you pop the leader's tire...
 
Great racing from McNish! He's the fastest man on on the track.

Did the Corvette run into the back of the Ferrari?
 
Weird, the connection died almost immediately after the race ended. Are they contractually obligated not to do post-race stuff?

Yep, just looks like The Ferrari got caught up in traffic while trying to fend off the Corvette and the contact happened. Nothing intentional I would think.

That was also the first of these 6-hour races I've actually watched from start to finish, though admittedly I did just have it on in the background on my laptop whilst revising for exams :)
 
Fantastic stuff. Seeing McNish celebrate like that when he got out the car just put a big smile on my face. You've got to love Endurance Racing, nothing compares.

See you guys in three weeks for Round 2, in Spa. 👍
 
Absolutely insane pace by McNish in the last 35 minutes. Very well deserved. Too bad that Toyota wasn't able to keep up, but hopefully they'll be more compititive on Spa.
 
The WEC Stream will show race highlights, and Speed will have a 1 hour race edit as well.

Not sure anywhere will have a full 6 hour long replay. Maybe they'll be a torrent up for it later?

Either Youtube or Speed2.com (though at this point unless you have the money and the provider, quite pointless to bring up)

Also, when exactly will Speed have a 1 Hour Race edit? That's news to me.

Not going to lie, I bailed about 30 mins from the end to miss the traffic... on the plus side, I was back home in time to watch the last 10 mins of the race on TV, and catch up with some of the drama's a missed trackside.

New tyres taken at last pitstop verses three stint old tyres plus KERS wasn't working on Treluyer's car.
