Just switched on. How have Audi got a lap over the Toyota's already?

EDIT: Rain and Audi pit as Rebellion battle.

They haven't. The Audis are 1-2 but they're not a lap ahead.

And it rains...

They haven't. It's the way timing works. Once a car passes the start line it gains a lap until the next car passes it as well.

It's raining.

Double Tree'd. How about that!

Pit crew massaging one another. I approve.

Edit: Sorry for double post. Forgot about previous post. Feel free to delete previous comment from me.

There's a great battle going on between Oak Racing and G-Drive Racing for 2nd place in LMP2. Oak Racing ahead.

I was kind of hoping the Toyotas put up more of a battle than this :(

Then again, it's a 2012-spec car vs Audi's brandnew car.

Looking overcast now...

I've got no idea what's going on on track, just took the long walk back to my car to get my sandwiches, I was hoping to see Clarks E30 along the way! So now I'm sat in the wood vote grandstand eating, and listening to prototypes race :) :)

I must say, the Audis really do make quite a piercing shrill piercing the air sound, not bad though, way better than the old diesels. Toyotas sound fairly conventional.

C'mon Rebellion...

...and the rain is taking its first victims. G-Drive Racing has crashed into the wall going down past the old pit straight. Full course yellow, not safety car.

How does a full course caution work without putting the safety car out? Does everyone slow down to saftey car speeds, but the field doesn't bunch up, allowing everyone to start off again from where they left off - so no one loses their gaps to the cars behind? I heard RLM mention "Code 60", but I don't know what that means.

The whole circuit has gone green again, anyway.

Do you have full access around the track to all the stands and viewing points? That's great if you do. It must be a better experience going to Silverstone on a day where there's less fans so you can move about more, unlike F1 where if you move, you lose.

its awesome to switch back and fourth between this race and the Blancpain endurance race

It's even more awesome when you can output the WEC race from your laptop to your 1080P TV via HDMI whilst watching the Blancpain race on the laptop screen.

Code 60 is what they use in the Dubai 24 hour race. If it's called, the cars put a 60 KPH speed limiter on so you don't need a safety car.

They don't have Code 60 in WEC but I assume the speed limiter would be the control mechanism.

Yeah, any grandstands that are open are free access, I'm overlooking maggots and becketts now, the view here is great.

It's busier than I thought it would be... But yes, empty compared to F1... Something's ill never understand.

Hello everyone, I've awoken and barely kept up via crappy Smartphone streaming

Where are you watching it?

Edit: I visit the site and I get this:

"This Content is not Available in Your Area due to rights restrictions" Wonderful Just:rolleyes:

At least I'm not contending with that crap while this race.

Oh right. I didn't know they did that. Thanks for explaining.

Sounds great. 👍

Not long left till it's over. The Audi's had clearly won this much earlier on in the race. Their reliability is what makes them such a dominance, it's a shame no one can give them a close battle.

Will Toyota be using their 2013 car in the next race, I think I heard RLM say? Hopefully that makes the racing tighter than it is now.

The Larbre Corvette is catching the 8 Star Ferrari. Looking like a Good battle coming up
