Race report:

Great race day for me with good pace in all sessions. Set an early quick lap in qualifying as usual, then tried unsuccessfully to improve it. (Managed to improve some corners but failed to tie together a perfect lap).

Quite a good race but a bit lonely. Better start from @Friday_GTRP altough I managed to stay in first. From that point on I kept my head down and tried to focus on my pace. Quite chuffed as I managed to have an error free race, something that didn’t happen in the last race.

Looking forward to the closure of the championship at Silverstone National. Reference lap following, stopping the clock at 0:59.400.

Does anyone interested to do longer race on Fridays or Saturdays evening, based on actual week Wednesday race? I would like 50-60 min. race with tyre wear and fuel on.
Throw in some weather changes and make it even better :)

I would love to and would join eventually. However, lately I am unable to play more than the Wednesday’s race.

Post the date with enough anticipation and I’ll do my best to join.

I would like to give it a try!
Saturday is not easy for me, but Friday usually is ok!...I would really prefer to set forced default setup since setup tuning requires additional time and I prefer to focus on learning how to drive right now.

Tyre wear should be off by Sick's Lobby settings (overrides your options settings).
I think it's more an issue of being really smooth while pressing the brake pedal and the throttle as well: this tyres get overheated quite easily.
I struggled quite much during last race (snetterton) also for this reason. Yesterday, after 15mins, it was happening the same, but then I tried to be really soft for a couple of laps, anticipating breaking points, with smooth breakings, accelerations, and trying to avoid any kind of wheel spinning.
After a couple of minutes the car came back to normal behaviour and it was ok.
Hope this is correct and can help.....But for better advices ask to more experienced and faster drivers as @IBZ6L20VT and @Friday_GTRP.

I prefer Friday too, but tomorow I cant. If someone is interested race on this Saturday please let me know.

I had a lot better race than Monday, love Donington Park when get it right. Rich Napalm went off at McLeans, got give position back penalty, so stopped too let them by. Was having good race with Skip, till he had tyre problems. Did you have tyre wear on Skip?

No, we can't change that setting...I just overheated them and could not run slow enough to cool them off. Was in last place, so I didn't want to be an impedement to all you guys by going too slow, or continuing to spin out..since last anyway, best to retire and spectate.
I do like to race this league style because we can't do tuning...too much advantage to those who are expert tuners in other leagues. However, not tuning to be rid of tire/brake heating will cause the issues some of less experienced and less proficient racers experience, and we can become crash bait out there...so we need to drive only up to the car capabilities when tires or brakes overheat to avoid wrecking someone else's race...at least that is my opinion.
Hey, I am well aware that there are far more fast racers out in Sim land than slow guys, and those fast guys want to race against the best and win races...so us slower guys need to get out of their way as best we can safely...at the same time you faster guys need to pass us maybe a bit more carefully, such as on the next straight instead in the middle of a tight corner. I always try to move to the right and slow enough for a faster car, but sometimes as soon as I clear a corner with car in my mirror, they try to pass on the right...why? Am I wrong to move to the right instead of the left? Anyway, again just my opinion...thanks.

My approach is always try to overlap in a straight. Sometimes the driver to be lapped gives a clear sign that he is slowing down and leaving space. Then I go for it.

Sometimes they left space to the right or to the left, on the braking for a corner, in the middle of it... there is no standard.

Sorry if I was within those that overtook on the right side. I didn’t mean to disturb your race.

My advice is always to try to let pass on a straight. However, in the end of the day is part of the racing and another variable that can go wrong.

Like your comments! Someone wrote to John recently mentioning not to slow down for fast cars in a corner, but right afterwards on straight. Exactly right to me as long as it goes both ways. Iwould like to see a standard if possible that if we are in a situation with a faster car, we always move to the right asap after getting on to a straight and slowing enough for faster car to pass safely on left..not up to me, though...Sick, what do you think? I haven't looked admittingly in a while at all the posted rules..maybe there is already a standard? I am actually more concerned about the fast guys competing for podiums than for me way in the back!
Thanks for listening...

Tomorow (Saturday) at 20.00 GMT I will open room for race I was mentioned earlier:
Stock setup
Fuel/tyres wear - on
Damage visual
Cockpit view
We can use some wheather change but without rain this time.

30 min. practice to check tyre wear, fuel usage and to choose strategy, 10 min. qualy and 60 min. race. So finish would be about the same as usual.

I will sent request to all who I have on my friend list. If someone also would like to join please sent friend request.
Hope it wont be race alone and our first and the last race on weekend :)

Sorry mate, but I can’t make it that late on a weekend. I hope that some will join.
