I din’t Get how to do the last corner in this track

For me is fastest way to brake earlier, keep all the way inside and accelerate of the corner as soos as you can. Key is inside line.

Shame to drive only one race in the fantastic 190E. Vintage Touring Cars have an excellent handling. It’s a true pleasure to throw it around the corners.

The Lotuses will be a real challenge just to have a trouble free race.

Hopefully the Lotus will be enjoyable. I'm working on a Historic BTCC series with Sierra v M3 and I've also got plans to use the 190E again.

Yes - welcome @lancervoo looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday and Monday as well if you are free. @Poumstar hasn't attended for 4 rounds and I know one of the regular guys is currently taking a break for personal reasons so there should be room.

Welcome back! WE might be doing Ginettas again next year - probably the GT5 version as that is a lot of fun to drive.

I’ll miss the Ginetta! Easy car to drive fast. Really predictable. It got the pack quite close.

What happened to your fancy coloured avatar cat? You had it for years, haven’t you?

I had actually put some practice in prior to the series with the Ginetta and indeed it was an easy car to drive. A slightly loose rear end on occasions but that added to the fun.

Here is my lap on the Mercedes. 2:10.450. I was on a very good sub 2:10 lap but ran out of petrol on the last corner...



The car requires practice to master. Delicate on the limit. Once you manage to tame the rear axle you can slide it from mid corner on and make a lot of time.

I’d ask for Keke Rosberg’s #6 Mercedes and #31 for the 98T.

The setting dates are in post 1 on page 1 - it is 12th May 1984 for Round 1.

There should be room for you @Tavilha as a couple of people have dropped out.

Yesterday I went to the London Classic Car Show Incorporating Historic Motorsport International. It was great to see a small collection of Nigel Mansell's cars including the stunning Lotus 95T.

You probably all know, but there is a big update to download before we can race again - don't leave it to the last minute as it is 11GB!

Just as well I didn't. Over 2 hours just to download and install an update!

A question. The Mercedes 190E DTM must have been fitted with ABS because SMS have it enabled via the realistic driving aids* feature (no TC), therefore I assume that the real life drivers would have used it. Are we allowed to have it enabled or is it being forced off? I don't mind too much however it would be making it harder for ourselves and somewhat less realistic without it. Having it on might also prevent a few accidents.

* I tend to do my testing with whatever SMS deem as realistic enabled or indeed disabled.

The real life vehicle does have ABS.

I disabled it for the lap I uploaded. I felt like I was faster being more in control of the braking.

In some other (more modern) cars is near to impossible to drive fast without ABS.

It will be off. I think it is easier to keep stuff off for both Monday and Wednesday rather than alternate between the two.
