I've streamed that race too.
My race went pretty well, much better than expected.
The only thing is that I was stuck for 30seconds in my 1st pit, didn't knew that to repair the engine would take such a long time. Maybe I could have fight for a win without this.

As anyone tried out the Lotus 38 yet? I've just had a go against the AI and I'd say it's going to be an interesting race. Touch wheels and up you go! Oh and the engine damage is going to take some management, the Lotus engines are very delicate.

While I quite like oval racing I find the Logitech wheels don't. It always makes their gearing rattle, especially the banking. I'd love to try a (working ;)) T300 sometime to see/feel the difference of a belt drive.
To stop most of the clipping (red bar) I've currently got my volume set at 20. It still clips (and rattles) a bit at that so it might be down to 15 for the race. I usually have mine at 30 to 35 for most cars/tracks.

I might try lowering the gain for the ovals to see if that helps.
Great video Rj.:D Got disqualified last night, for overtaking, after accident, enjoyed the series though.

For any UK racers. If your PSplus is about to run out the CDkeys 12 month offer is pretty good at the moment (it can vary). £34 instead of the £50 that it is getting it direct from Sony. You can actually top up at any time - even if it's not due yet.

I still begrudge paying the plus membership just to online multiplay. Especially since PC2 is just peer to peer- no dedicated servers. Mine runs out in November, not sure what I'm doing then.

CDkeys also do PSN vouchers. The best at the moment is £39.99 for a £50 voucher code. You get £10.01 pound free!

I've used them quite a few times without any problems.

Not as good as UK offer, but much better than the original 60€ anyway. Thanks a lot!
That's OK, anything to save a little money helps. You could try waiting, the price might drop. Although there is the chance that it might rise also. Or end!

I think what they do is they source and buy codes in bulk and then sell them at the reduced rates. There was talk that Sony was going to try and put a stop to it but luckily they haven't so far it seems.

No worry. As long as something works, I don't care how it works ahah

But I have a question about lmp900 and historic GT1 series. Is it with fixed or open setups?

(Sorry for double post)

Fixed setups. So you'll want to be using Default Loose. You might think that the tuning would be fun, but trust me, after doing a pretty competitive Formula Renault series with open tuning I'd be glad to never do one again.

I probably put in about 5 hours getting a setup sorted out for one race, only to get taken out by my own teammate in the first corner! (Racing incident, no blame to be apportioned)

I confess that I was hoping for fixed setup as I have absolutely ZERO experience in this on that game. I'm usually good on Gran Turismo for that, but PCars is a way more complicated ahah

Why do the cars have just 2 gears?

Because they only need 2 John - 1st is used for pulling away after a pit stop - the rest of the time the car is in 2nd (top gear). (Note the Lotus 56 turbine Indy car only has 1 gear!).

I spoke to a driver of a Historic Indy Car last summer and he said that his car has 2.5 gears! He explained that the cars have an ultra low crawler gear for driving around the pit / paddock area (the half gear) then a first and second gear. The race start is made in first, he then shifts to top and doesn't touch the gear lever again - I found that pretty amazing as he was racing at Brands Hatch GP circuit in a 1954 Kurtis - even accelerating away from Druids hairpin was done in second gear. He won the race beating European cars, some of which had five gears!

We stick with no tuning default setups in this room primarily to save time - most of our racers have very little gaming time available. It also keeps things simple, but occasionally we find a car which is not nice to drive on the default setup.

Note - I have decided that Monday will be a Rest Day! Racing will restart on Wednesday.

Wed LMP900 Round 0.jpg

Above - cars and race numbers. Note car change half way through the season.

Example: Will starts with Audi number 6 and after four rounds switches to Bentley number 8.

We will be repeating LMP900 in the future at which time people will get a chance to race other makes of car. Please stick with the cars and race numbers indicated as they avoid number clashes and look authentic.

Round 12 is a Special Event at Modern Le Mans - full details later.

Thanks Sick their most be, quite a bit of torque with engine, to keep i going.👍

I've misreading the table and practiced with the Bentley at Silverstone today lol.
But I have to say that the first rounds being far on the right and the last rounds on the left is a bit confusing.

Also, I have some questions:
Must we use cockpit view again?
Tyre wear and fuel depletion still off?

Does anybody know rain settings for tonight?
What means WET? Whole time is raining? How strong?
Other than Sick of coarse I don't think anyone knows. Although he usually goes for a brief spell of rain early in the race. The wet tyres will need a bit of management to last the race on a drying track though. Or a tyre change pitstop.

(Sick, 1 slot light rain throughout has a slow and natural water build up - no sudden puddles. It varies slightly from race to race too so it's not quite the same each time, a bit more or bit less rain.)

I haven't seen it mentioned but are there any mandatory pitstops in the current championships @Sick Cylinder?

I haven't properly tried the rest but the BMW has some harsh brakes, very easy to lock up, especially in the wet. And the right mirror is very distracting! It fills up a lot of your vision on right hand corners. I've had to make adjustments. I cut it off with a hacksaw.

I've been meaning to for awhile so since I've had a bit of a rearrangement and tidy up over the last weekend I thought I'd post a picture of my "rig". :)

The tablet I took the pictures on should stand just behind the keyboard for messages and RSdash.

Certainly not as impressive as a full stand and bucket seat but it does for me. Might add a gear lever sometime.

I did have a surround sound amp but I got fed up with it and all the associated speakers so have reverted back to stereo. Decent speakers though fed from the optical output so nice and clear, very loud too! My PS3 has been retired and the PS4 repositioned to be more accessible. Keypad swapped for a keyboard and headphones better situated. So yes there's been a lot of cable work involved.

I hope you don't take any calls when driving Paul!
I of coarse go hands free.

I love that your DS4 has its own special non-slip mat..
It stops it moving about if I get over excited with my wheel inputs.

Great rig, Paul does not hurt your eyes being that close too TV.:D
I have them closed most of the time John. Actually no I don't find it a problem. It's a 32" computer monitor so is designed for close up work. Very clear

I'd never get any work done!
And the kitchen is a few feet away so I never have to move far!

I can make out a glasses case just in front of the screen :P
Sunglasses. You've got to look cool while driving.
