Wednesdays Historic BSCC 3 20:30-21:30 BST- Pimiki & SimbaLora CHAMPIONS!!!Finished

I would think that since tuning is allowed, you should be allowed to tune for each track, and not have to stick to one setup....
Oh true enough and that is of course allowed, I very much expect all the tuning tinkerers will be tweaking between races. I just meant that during tonights test session it might be an opportunity to just try out a couple of different tracks/surfaces under race conditions.

And you're right Sick hasn't specified which 'cuda! Or if he did it might have been edited out amongst the various car changes he's made. You do get an interior on the premium version though.

I won't make it to the pre-season today, so I'll have time to prepare my car. I promise that I will be there next week. 👍

Subject to time we will also use Trial Mountain forward.

The cars to use are pictured in post one of the thread, which shows the premium Cuda 340.

Hopefully we get a big enough turnout tonight to get some good little races. I have done a lot of testing of these cars both offline and online so I'm expecting them to be quite well matched.

Just going to open the room now.

Just a repeat of a post I made in the Friday series just in case some don't see it...
@reefer is starting a short Old Muscle Car championship shortly. It's on fairly late on a Saturday evening but some of you may be interested. Hope to see you there.

I'm going to Norway on Wednesday and will be away for a month, so the first round I'll be able to attend is the 3rd of August. As that is just before the change of cars, can I use the Plymouth for that round and then the Renault for the rest of the rounds?

Sorry for missing the test round, got disconnected just when the second half of the football game started, so it was a very convenient time to go back and watch it.

Sorry for leaving early in the test round, couldn't really test the Renault. The Mini was a pleasant experience, used Sicks tune. Understeering by design, you just have to go through the corners with the right speed. ;) The Cuda (also with Sicks tune) has ample torque, easy to do donuts in 4th gear. Had some problems converting that to straight line speed. :crazy: I think i'll go with the Mini, but the Renault is surely a great drive too -- if we need more Renaults for balance i'll happily switch. :)

I decided to take the Renault, even it is a bit tricky when approaching the limit. So I would like to use the cuda first round and then the Renault.

Car Allocation
I haven't had all your preferences in so far, but based on those received to date, allocation will be as follows:

John Wells = R / P
Zeus = R / P
Eran = P / R
Simba = P / R
Flaco = M / P
Harsk = M / P
Tarnheld = P / M
Sick = P / M

Note: R = Renault, P = Plymouth, M = Mini

I am awaiting car confirmations from Rich, IfAndOr, Sutsagrd, Pimiki and a few others. I will be happy to switch to the Renault to balance the numbers if necessary.

Such a shame that you can't change the colour and add a race number to the Renault 8 - complete madness - what were Polyphony Digital thinking? This is the sort of thing which they must get right in GTS and GT7. If they wanted a one make historic series for GTS, a tuned version of the Renault 8 with its exciting handling and great interior view, would be an ideal candidate - but only if it had colour change and race number options.

With the livery editor in GT Sport that will hopefully be a problem of the past.

Car Allocation - Updated 25th June
Based on preferences received so far, car allocation will be as follows:

John Wells = R / P
Zeus = R / P
Sutsagrd = R / P
Eran = P / R
Simba = P / R
IfAndOr = P / R

Flaco = M / P
Harsk = M / P
Richroo = M / P
Tarnheld = P / M
Sick = P / M
Pimiki = P / M

Note: R = Renault, P = Plymouth, M = Mini

@Pimasz I have put you down for Plymouth followed by Mini to keep the numbers even.

There are currently 4 vacant slots in this championship, 2 for Mini drivers and 2 for Renault - If you would like to race we would love to hear from you!

Is it possible for me driving first the Cuda and then the Mini?

Is it possible for me driving first the Cuda and then the Mini?

I would prefer if you start with the Mini. I have put people into pairs of similar ability so that they have someone to race against in the same car in case there is a car performance difference at certain tracks. The number of fast, slow and medium tracks has also been matched in the two six round segments (i.e. with each car) so there should be no disadvantage in starting with the Mini first.

I have practised the Mini for this Bathurst yesterday on the night and my lap time from Bathurst is 2'25.600. And you guys? What is your lap times of Mini at the moment?

I think it might be hard to compare lap times, there are too many variables. What were your course settings - time of day, online vs offline, tire wear, etc.

I will say though that on my first practise session my time was 2:25.767. But I drive the Renault. So not sure if that helps or not...

Hey guys,

actually I'd have thought there's no chance for a today's guest appearance at your series but @IfAndOr encouraged me to simply ask for the possibility as you probably wouldn't mind. :)

I've explained my situation at the Zero Cup and Racers Reunited threads already. My wife is away from home with our 6-month-old this week so I get the chance for some online racing which isn't possible usually.

That's why I can't attend the series but I'd love to race with you guys tonight as I really enjoy my few opportunities to race online. I liked the fair and clean racing at Makeshift Shuffle Club where I was participating regularly and both the above-mentioned clubs. 👍

So would it be possible to join today only?

I reckon I'd have to use the Cuda under the given regulations. You posted a tune for that one which I probably should use!?

To fit in the optics of the club I'd follow the advice to select one of the 6 outfits.

But what car colour and race number should I use?

Today is fine - I've sent you a friend request. Once that has been accepted I'll send you a club invitation. If you don't receive the friend request, just send one to me - it is always possible that I may have made a mistake on the fr spelling etc.

Use a Plymouth Cuda 340 today, painted silver and fitted with race number 80 type A, font A.

In testing (online) for Mount Panorama I found that the Plymouth was fastest with the Renault about 2 seconds slower and the Mini about 3 seconds slower than Plymouth. A fast driver like @Harsk in a Mini or Renault should still lap faster than a slower driver like me in a Plymouth today.

Is @LexLathor and @Pimasz racing today? I hope so - Hopefully we get a nice full grid!

Thanks a lot, much apreciated! :cheers:

As soon as I'm home from work I'll accept the friend request.

Room Limits NB these may be subject to change after Round 0 (Test Round)
These are: Weight 746kg, Power 370bhp, Performance Points 515pp,
Tyre Limit: Sports Medium (Mini = Sports Soft).

Are these the latest restrictions?

Sick's probably gone of to work himself now, so I'll answer.
Are these the latest restrictions
I think so Patrick. We had a test day but the specs were left as they were - for the first race at least. So for your 'Cuda it's the 370bhp/515pp that will be the main restrictions and the SM tyres.
"See" you later.

This is the club it's held in (when you get your invite off Sick). Sick's Race Room.

Should my Mini's weight be 746 kg? Is because my Mini has 746 kg.

Yes - The Mini should be at 746kg and with a full tune it will be at 262bhp and 515PP.

With maximum weight reduction and full tune the Renault 8 Gordini will be at 515PP and I think (from memory) 313bhp.

With a power of 370bhp and maximum weight reduction the Plymouth Cuda will be well under the 515PP limit and well over the 746kg, but should still be faster at Mount Panorama, but on average produce the same lap times across the full 12 rounds.

Are these the latest restrictions?

Yes - those are the current room limits.

Note the Mini uses Sports Soft tyres while the Renault and Plymouth use Sports Medium. We got a very even performance out of the cars during the test round with these specs although the extra torque of the Plymouth gives it an advantage off the startline.

Everybody please take extra care to avoid contact - it may be a good idea to follow a slightly different line to the car in front in order to reduce the chance of contact. The three cars have very different handling characteristics - the Plymouth is very heavy so has to brake early for the corners.
