Well, improved by .15 overall today (should have been more, but I screwed up one of the hairpins). I have to admit that even with all the tips (thank you), I still don't really know wtf I'm doing. In other words, I want my RWD back. heh

hi, i submitted my time, i tried 4 an hour this morning b4 uni, but realised that my best time is gonna take some beating, only got within .2 of it, i think i only made 1 mistake that cost me .050 throughout the whole two laps of my currner best lap, and that mistake was the last corner on 1st lap, where i went wide, and then hit the inside rumble on exit and lost traction, but thats it. and also lost .1 at start
Ps. to CFM, maybe next week u may wanna have a combo at citta di aria, dont think we've had one there yet, and its one of the best tracks out there, most challenging anyway IMO. thanx, cya

Well after another session I beat my time by a whooping 0.1 second, oh well. My splits are slightly better:
Lap #1
T1: 0'40.712
T2: 1'10.414
Lap #2
T1: 0'32.849
T2: 1'02.308
I think I'll submit this time, every race I run I'm within 0.5 of this so I don't think I'd be able to beat it by much even if I did succeed. I don't think I have the knack with this little car, even when I think I've been flying, I'm not compared to others' splits...oh well, we'll see where I place. Good luck all 👍

OMG Please NO! NO NO NO! Not Citta di Aria. All of those stupid little walls that jut out into the track really screw me up. I think I hate that track more than any other.
Not that it will matter to any of you but if the combo is on Citta di Aria I will get one clean lap and submit it. I don't have enough patience for that track.

I can top washing your own cell phone this week.
I came into work this morning, and my hard drive failed.
There goes all my runs since WRS on GT3, all the pix i had of all the WRS racers, all the emails i had to do with racing and the music is gone, the data is gone, the 100% game saves are gone, the videos of nurb, and GT are gone, oh yeah, and i lost some stuff to do with work too.
Ive got a doner comp now, while i get a new hard drive this week, but i cant believe everything i once had has vanished without warning.
I even had my replay for this week uploaded already, and now i have to try and get my max drive disc to work again.....
So here's my plea...... can everyone that races who i know or who i dont know, send me their pics, so i can start my collection again.....

yes, i tip my hat to you, i can´t get to your time... if i put my best splits togheter (according to what veilside told me) i would still be .3 off your pace... so, it was a perfect run really... hard to duplicate... i´m still curious to see where did you find time in the last to corners, that btw, i´m still loosing time there 👎

I finally got some good splits and I managed to not only reach my goal but even beat it by 0.300 
Not as good as I thought compared to others on Luxy's Leaderboard, but I think I won't be able to do anything better than that... So this will probably be also the time I will submit.
I will try one last go tonight and tomorrow morning and then submit.
Here are my splits:

T1: 0'40.460
T2: 1'09.581
L2:
T1: 0'32.518
T2: 1'01.708
I feel like there are still at least 0.200 more to gain... We will see if I can find them before the deadline.

I haven't seen much complaining about under-steer.
Personally, I ran the combo a few times just the other day (between RE4 sessions) and sure enough, the car didn't feel like it had any trouble making 90% of the turns on this course.
Not to praise myself but uh... I think this is a great combo.

I'm doing alright but I think I'm going to leave my time as is and focus on JGTC qualifying today. there were only a few corners where I felt that the car was understeering but nothing that backing out of the throttle can't solve. All in all it was a decent combo.

@Kent. Very cool event man. 👍 I like the strategy aspect to the comp. Wish I could have started on it earlier in the week. Great car. Drives like a dream. Very forgiving.
Just wanted to put out a word of caution to everyone. I had a race that was 1 sec. faster than anything else I've got, and was all stoked and everything, ready to send it to Kent etc. Went through the replay to make sure no touches etc. and thought I had a good one. Looked one more time, and went what?????
Check your replays real close on the right hander of the chicane going to T1 straight. If you're passing the bluebird there, you have to really cut it. What I didn't notice until last night is that the start of the rumble is squared off to the pavement on the radius of the curve, and if you are putting 2 tires in the grass, most likely you will have your back left off in the little pocket between the pavement and the rumble. I checked another replay I had of a slower time, and sure enough that one was dirty too! This is a sneaky one that I never noticed in all the times I've driven Motegi, but once you see it, you kinda swallow hard and hit the delete. It's real hard to catch cause you are off for only a split second, but off is off. Be fast, but be clean!

That's exactly what I said. "WTF?? I got screwed!" Yeah it's really stupid the curb isn't extended to the track there.

Great, now I'm really gonna have to look closely at that. And I just deleted all of my slower laps too
!! Pretty sure I left myself plenty of room on pretty much the entire track, so hopefully I'm good there as well.BTW Kent, this has been an excellent combo 👍 ! I usually hate motegi, but have come to found a new liking for it this week. And this car is great, one I'll definitely be keeping in the garage in sim mode!
Racing a Civic.........??? yeah great...not......these were about my first thoughts...BUT: this is actually as sweet little car, who handles very nice for a FF car 👍 , and I enjoyed the combo very much, though I'm not really strong at Motegi.I probably would have never bought that car -especially not for the 450'000, so thanks to you Kent I got it and I'm not disapoined. It also woke my curiosity to find other hidden, sweet gems in the game... 💡
I think this is a nice side effect of the WRS on us GT4 racers! 👍

I agree! The side effect I like about competing in the WRS is that you learn each track inside out, golding the licenses involving that track then become simple. The test I liked most after revisiting it was the Viper around El Capitan, I quite liked the sound and feel of that car in it's stock form...may have to buy one.

Hey all,
I'm really happy to see that so many of you have been suprised by this combo... Especially the car. 👍
In all honesty, I only looked into racing this car because of the last race I posted. That "any car... @ capitan" race had me looking for all sorts of odd-ball picks.
Eventually I stumbled upon the trial celica. Not exactly a "looker" but with the traction control off it handled like a dream.
From there I was convinced the FF cars in GT4 were actually worth something (unlike gt3).
So,
The Civic got itself a test session because of the celica's performance... Sure enough it was no fluke that the Trial Celica handled well- Most FF cars handle well in GT4!
I was so happy to see FF cars handled well that I had to put you all in one for this week's race.
Next week might be another experiment like that, but trust me, anyone who's been around here long enough should be able to tell you that I rarely repeat car/track selections.
Track selections I try not to repeat regularly.
Car selections are only repeated through the use of "you pick your own car weeks."
Bottom line:
I'm no mad scientist so don't worry about another FF in week 17.
Anyway...
Like I said before, be patient tomorrow morning while waiting for those results.
