Settings I am running.

6.3/10.0
110/110
10/8
10/10
1.4/0.5
0/0
1/1

10/11

15/60/20
Stock Gear 24

.74/.91

I'm not going down easy this time. :sly:

Now lets see if I can back up my emoticon.

So ya....IMHO Smokey Mountain is the most beautiful curcuit in GT3, also the best rally circuit. I wish it was flattened out slightly and paved over, it would make a SICK circuit to rip DTM cars around!

Anyway....the Citreon is one of my favorite cars too, next to the RGT it is probably the car I have the next amount of miles in. Most importantly I know how to tune the damn thing....

Best clean lap;
T1 7.760
T2 25.235
T3 44.526

There is alot more in the car, I think I have the suspension dialed but want to try a few more gear ration setups...until tomorrow night!

Interesting sidenote....week 48 was the last week we ran a rally, week 48 was also my first week in the weekly....

i agree with ya there about smokey mountain.. if only it wasnt for a few bts of the track eh? :lol:

I must dedicate this race to jimeez, master mudslinger, my friend and teammate who will probably not be with us here. He is making a long move and setting up a new home. Smokey Mountain is his favorite rally track. He claims that I taught him all he knows about mudslinging, maybe, but the student has become the master and now he teaches me. I have improved at Smokey Mountain from what he has taught me.

Here's to you jimeez. You have taught me well. This race is for you.

(7.384 / 24.321 / 43.561)

There is more but I do not know if I will have anymore time for this.

I have seen a best T3 of 43.3xx

Good Luck Everyone!:)

@ Redline Fox-thanx for the settings as i did not have a clue how to set this car up.dialled in your settings and have just gone 1.2 secs faster to T3:D

Nice lookin T1 there Neils. :eek:

I've seen a few middling 7.5s but a lot more low 8.x I basicallly throw the nose of the car to the right just before going airborne, so it lands facing into the turn. There are a lot of uncontrolled variables in this approach, so I rack up plenty of mileage on the tarmac. :lol:

I try not to getting to much air by breaking early, so I can go back on full throttle just after the top.

Your t2-t3 looks very good. 👍 Guess I need to work some more on that section. :)

It's a little nippy this morning in the mountains.....I can see the vapor every time I breathe. The homey smell of bacon and eggs, hot coffee, and a tinge of racing fueled exhaust, make a perfect breakfast blend for the diehard racer.

The sound of 1998 cc's of hot rod Citroen crack the chilled air as drivers start to warm their engines and prepare to attack the 'mountain' another day. A distant scream echos through the woods as somebody peaks out in top gear, crosses the start/finish line and sets up for the mad dive into turn one.

I take another sip from my coffee and turn to eye my Xsara.....she looks good with red-rimmed black Yokohama racing wheels. My mechanics signal that it's time. "She's ready!"

So much for the peaceful moments in racing....for the rest of the day, it's crazy mad, wall-banging, 'go for broke', 'no holds barred', dirt in your teeth, 'blood and guts', 'winner takes all', racing.....

'FURY'!:mischievous: :odd:

Your a regular fan-fiction writer Emp. ;-)

Highon, partly glad the settings helped you, except that your T3 is faster then mine now. :P

I have a lot of exam work to do, so, looks like I'll being playing catch up again.

I roll back into my pit area after an intense practice session. I see my crew running towards me, their faces all flushed and red, some have their hands waving excitedly in the air.....I'm thinking, what the heck is going on?

Billy Bob, my 'Nascar reject' mechanic with the stutter...still half out of breath,

"di-di did you se-se-see your se-se-sectors times?"

I'm getting a little annoyed now with all the excitement, "No, how could I.... I was on the track driving the car, you idiot!"

He hands me a crumpled piece of paper with the sector times scribbled in fat shaky letters:

T1 = 7.414
T2 = 24.905
T3 = 44.464

Now my face is all flushed and red.....I'm happy!:)....for the moment.:odd:

cool combo Kent 👍

Thanks, but this time, it's not my influence...

I think I picked this one up off of a mix of suggestions from scuderia.
He said xsara @ deepforest or mini @ smokey.

I said I don't drive slow... that's what my daily driving is for... this game is about racing. ;)

But it surely is a nice combo, fast as hell actually.

All of the back side is flatout and still well behaved.

But don't get used to these races. I'm gonna have you all running driver choice races a lot more in the future... I figure multi-lappers will come about once every fifth race. Driver choices almost as often as I can come up with something fun, and as many courses as possible. (keeping in mind that Im not a rally driver. ;) )

Anyway, Im out.
But yeah, emp. those are some great post. :D

T1 7.507
T2 24.646
T3 43.744

clean

:)

Oddly that isn't my fastest overall lap but those sectors are slightly faster than said fastest lap...

GoKents...I remember suggesting a citreon at smokey, but not in reverse...I still think the maxed Mini sans TC/ASM + T5s @ deep forest would be fun....

hey is there a way to load ghost data. and when u race with the ghost appearing.. like i want the ghost to be invisible, can that be done. those damn ghosts are annoying :mad: lol

The Xsara comes equipped with dirt tires which are automatically used on any of the rally tracks. If you are racing at Smokey Mountain II then you are using dirt tires or it will not let you race.

Scuderia229 is flying out here! I think we've all been set-up!

He's going to be out running most of the Div.I guys....especially me.:embarrassed: :rolleyes:

Good Competition obviously brings the best out of people.....and the times, they are a falling.

👍

new best T1 7.7 T2 24.9 T3 44.004 clean:)

Now if i can get through turn 1 in 7.5 without getting excited and
🤬 up the rest of the lap i might just make it into those 43's;)
