Week 58. A Rally Run.

You obviously have some skills at the rally thing....You could have run A.R.C. solo....I am. You of course couldn't count team points, but at least you could compete.

I just entered mainly to improve my rally skills ( or lack there of) since it's something that I never ever do generally.

I think you should see if they'll let you enter solo, just for the fun of it....maybe as a replacement for someone who dropped out.:)

Here, I went out and tried to pop a better time out of the hat, but it wasn't going to happen....so I guess I'm done. I just hope you don't beat me out....:lol:
 
I'm not in this week (Busy with GTD3 and I hate rally) but I just found this so funny. :D

I suck at this rally stuff, I have no idea where I'm losing so much time, it's the fastest I can go, and it's one of the few weeklies that has made me go to +20 laps ran in a single session, geeze...

Well good luck, but hey... atleast I hit a rally with in the first 5 weeks organizing the weekly...

I mean, if I kept at this rate we would certainly have a nice rally race crowd.

Then again, Im not a rally fan... So... :P

Keep those times coming in, remember to include your divisions and keep working at those times. Remember to have them in before the end of monday night.

Remember the deadline is the end of monday night/ before the begining of tuesday my time. (central standard time)
(same as before 6am tuesday in london/g.m.t.) (and before 1:00am e.s.t. "tuesday morning"/ "still in a sense monday night") :lol:

oops I meant the 11th and 12th...

so yours(ub) is .1 secs faster than mine, so this means the times I'm thinking about are way faster than my imagination :lol:

I've just did a minor tweak on the car and I'm blowing my ghost away on the straight, but it dogs my heals on the back section, its almost there a great lap I just need to put it together! Man! I'm way to into this I'm wired as hell right now! I've got all this damn studying to do so I'm taken a break with the game but I need some coffee!

I just beat my best time yeah! Yeah baby..heart can't take it..aaargh! ::falls over::

T2 24.609
T3 43.473
 
another .102 off my overall time, I made it all up on the final turn. Not much different from last night;

T1 7.566
T2 24.581
T3 43.486

however!

I had another lap, which was dirty (a slight "tap" of my tail on the exit of T1) but a T3 of 43.424 that was .415 secs faster....ALL on the last turn so I know there is more.

I will try to shave that off tomorrow, clean!
 
We missed you daan....see you at the next race hopefully.:) I kind of like being a "junior'....make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, instead of outside like in the real world.

I'm looking at these times and I keep thinking that I'm going to come up short by about .500 .....I really think I need to make another attempt to shave something off my time.

These races are so close that a tenth of a second can mean 5 positions.

I'm with you on that one GT3 Emp,looking at scud229's sectors
makes me think im about .5 off the pace at the finish also.
gonna stick a few more in and see what happens;)
 
Had a bit more seat time just now and chopped another .120 off my overall best, this time all on sectors, the final turn was nothing special;

T1 7.342
T2 24.390
T3 43.363

Off to do some work to pay some bills then some final seat time tonight before the deadline.

:)
 
Does anyone have any settings they can suggest?

Using the setup that I posted earlier, I've since put all the LSDs down to five and have been using ODP's gearing. I think my setup still has potential, but I simply do not have the time to experiment with a new setup this evening. As I'm at my internship right now and classes later. :-P

hahahaha....I may not be as fast as I think. Last night taught me that the last turn is the make or break, you can have the best sectors ever but if you miss the mark onto the pavement your lap is done.

That being said I think I hit the final transition well, though I know I have at least a few 10ths that I might be able to remove.

Man, this race is setting up to be 'too close':rolleyes: .....there are going to be some broken hearts after this one is over. I'm getting my kleenex ready now!:( :P
 
I'm absolutely certain that I'm blowing the transition onto the pavement but I don't know how to get it just right. My fastest clean run has a little diagonal skid as I get onto the pavement. I've gotten on without losing traction but I don't think I've ever gotten it just right - got to figure it out this evening.

I don't know what to say.....I certainly don't want to inspire you to greatness by taunting you. So, all I can do is wonder what your goals are......? Are they conservative or liberal?

Knowing how you prefer to sneak up on us instead of posting your progress......will you give us a little hint of what T-times you're running?:confused: :odd: :cool:
