I've been registered with the WRS for a while, gokents, just never actually participated in a race yet. I believe I'm in the middle grouping.

Well, I went a won the GT all stars and got myself an R-tuned skyline. Dropped my final laptime by over a second over the 22b, and T3 is 1.02.968. I still think I can nail the last two corners a whole lot better. I'm also on a 2.501 pwr :D

You are right too.

Division 2, say hello to capn'geech! :dunce:

I'm thinkin' maybe I should jump over to the Nismo R-Tune (R34?). It would seem that without it, I am getting smoked (the 1'04.4 I just ran was by pure luck on the third lap; I have no idea how I did it). All I'm going to need is a setup for it and I'll be golden.

I don't own any of these cars o_O I sold my 400R (figured I wouldn't need it) - what's the deal with the R Tune? Seems a good choice.

I'm running about a 1'04.9 atm in my rather unbroken Skyline GT-R V-spec II, and the lap itself feels good, I'm loving the track (in all honesty I'm loving the WRS, it's nice to be forced to race something that's not GVS) but I'm tempted to go championship winning to try this R Tune if it's good. If not my humble Skyline shall have to suffice.

I can probably take care of the Excel sheet if Famine hasn't rejoined us too.

Hi All,
Just ran a few laps, and finally got a clean
run.I hope to get some more driving in before I
go away for vacation.
Another good one,Gokents!
T1=15.6
T2=35.5
T3=1:02.40
Lots of time still on the track.

Later,
Cinjun8

Ran a few in the R-tune @ 2.509

best so far has 15.5/35.5/1.02.9 .... need a better set up :dopey:

Car drives horribly ... will try something different tonight 👍

Good Luck all

btw nice T3 Cinjun :scared:

Ugh, looks like I will have to do the GT-All stars series 3 times tonight... 👎 I want the GT40 Road Car, R-Tune and the Mine's V-Spec. (Is that the R-Tune? That's FR! Am I missing something?)

The R-Tune is a tuned by Nismo and can be won in Gt-All Stars in Amateur League.

With the CTR2 I run this track

T1:17.201
T2:38.002

So this very BAD :yuck:

To bad for my div.
I'm out this week unless I find a way to go under that 17.000 line :scared:

The R-tune, as with most Skylines (except JGTC ones, Nismo GT-R LM Road Car, and the R32 GTS-t Type M which are FR) is 4WD.

Absolutely NOt!!!Have a look at the prize car list =Amateur leaque->all-stars->R-Tune ->drivetrain->FR!!!!

Just to clear it up for everyone in this moment of confusion.

The R Tuned Nismo Skyline R34 is 4wd.

:D

Have fun fellas.
I will be back with details of my most recent runs eventually... just gotta get some runs in first. ;)
Till then,
later.

Oh!
icemanshooter24,
Sure I will post my setup (for the r34 I assume?).
NP.
Think it comes to 553hp with 2.509pwr
Or in its other form 530hp with 2.501pwr

Will be back with news on this stuff soon,
Till then,
-

Kent, when you goin' to post your setup for the R-Tune? I'm kinda lookin' forward to what I can do with it (gettin' 15.9 T1s in my Subaru; wanna see how much I can chop off in a Skyline).

Don't worry, I'm sure there'll be a good spread of results in lots of different cars this week, and no doubt Famine will produce an Excel table in glorious technicolour which shows not only the divisional results, but comparative results for each car! How about it Famine?

Actually, I just remembered. Famine is busy moving house, and attending a funeral, I read that somewhere yesterday. He'll be way to busy to do that. :guilty:
I'd give it a shot but I'm no genius when it comes to Excel! Maybe my wife can help!

My condolances Famine. Look forward to seeing you back around here soon. :(

I knew I heard my name somewhere... :D

I'm back "darn Sarf" now, after having driven 240 miles through the ****test weather ever yesterday (torrential rain, bouncing 2-3 feet, mist, lorry spray, 1-2 inch standing water and 50-60mph crosswinds - my girlfriend commented "Thank you for getting me back alive" when we stopped, and I felt like I'd gone 12 rounds with TYson, Lewis, a Kodiak bear and a 300 kiloton nuke). But I'm livin' and breathin'.

I'll have a crack at Excelling if it's wanted, although I won't shove it into my weekly results file. I'll post it separate, in the results thread for this week.

But of course first I have to do the race... :D

I think I've settled upon the Nismo 400R for my ride this week. After a quick 10 minute run, I got a T3 of under 1'05. More runs to come today, hopefully.

I hope the V Spec II can keep up. Maybe it's as good as the R-Tune. Should be able to get close, think it's good for a 1'02.8

Has anyone used the Mine's V-Spec? Is it racing or normal? Should I go through the GT-All stars a third time oto get it?

Doesn't the Mine's go under 2.5 stock?

Looks like I won't be going under 1'03, at least not easily.

I'm going to point out an Irony here: For anyone running in the R-Tune, you're running a nearly-redundant race.

I'm running the GT-R as well my best lap so far has been a 1,04.135. Since then I just can seem to beat that %$#@ ghost

BTW any one has a good line for the first Tunnel? I find that I'm running way too wide when I exit the tunnel, maybe I'm just entering it too fast :dopey:

What do you mean?
I'm guessing something is up?
Maybe the "R" in R-tuned stands for "race"?

I don't really know what you meant by that, but I can say this much...
The R tuned Nismo is a perfectly legal car for this race.

However, I am indeed, very intrested in what you meant by that comment. :D

I'm just wondering, how much of Trial Mountain counts as track?
Anything that's paved? Or do we have to keep 2 wheels inside the solid white lines at all times? E.g. alongside Start/Finish line, there's a large paved area outside the lines & on the inside of the 1st tunnel there's paved area but I'm not sure whether I can use that or not? It's much quicker if you do, but I don't want be thought of as cheating for doing that!

I'm being a stubborn f@#%er and not following the crowds into the realms of Nismo Skylines. I'm running an Evo VI GSR at 462HP and PWR of 2.501.

Not seeing anything close to 1'02s though so I'll be trailing the field in that sense.
Its become a personal thing between me & the Evo to see just how fast it can be made to go! Anyone else sticking with an Evo?

Look back to week 28, my friend (I think it was week 28; I'm not sure). The car is legal; I've even swapped over to it (after stealing a setup from that week and intentionally dropping my best time .3 seconds, I'd say it's a good choice). If you're too lazy to look, Week 28 (I believe) was when we had to run the R-Tune fully modded on this same track. I had my old R-Tune lying around from that, which clued me in to the redundancy (not that it's illegal or anything). Just thought I'd let you know...

Turn the ghost off then ;)

I run as wide as possible on the lead up and try to carry 200k plus towards the turn in 5th, brake and turn in (not too tightly, try to limit sliding), down to third and hug the turn, I aim to be accelerating before I get to the apex and use the power of the car to pull the nose around to leave it in the middle of the track or on the left hand side of the circuit. I can carry more speed running out to the right but I find that with the crest it compromises my line into the next bend, so the benefit gets wiped pretty quickly. Haven't broken 16 doing this though so I'm open to suggestions.

New set of Ts:
T1: 0'15.963
T2: 0'36.336
T3: 1'04.072

Still flirting with that 1'04.0 line though...
