I'm done with the week. All I could muster was a 6th in the RB race. Off the pace by 1 sec. Tried it twice. First race I got pit maneuvered TWICE and spun both times but recovered for a 10th place.
I hate fantasy cars anyway. This one and the VGT's. I'll stick to the real cars, thank you.

Today I completed the weekly challenges. Nothing special to mention about the Porsche one. The X2019 on the other hand.... That was a handful one. No pun intended.

I tried it a couple of times using the RH and no intention to pit. It wasn't good enough to catch up the leaders. Then I tried it using RS. One pit stop around lap 7 or 8. I had more sucess this way, but here and there something always happened. It could be me losing the rear of that thing, or the IA and I having some contact midcorner and me getting the worse outcome.

Then I read someone mentioned here about the downforce settings. I set the numbers to the max and voilá! The car was much more stable and easy to drive. I managed to catch up the leaders up to lap 5, stayed with them untill lap 7. I pitted, undercutted the japanese driver (sorry, forgot his name) and kept the lead and got the win.

So, for those having a hard time, put the downforce to the max, RS, pit on lap 7 or 8 that's it.

I can't access the Red Bull at Trial Mountain. It just says event not yet available 😕....I've completed everything else so I'm not sure what's going on there
The Article
Finally we have one of the most challenging races we’ve seen in a Weekly Challenge yet, and that even applies to getting access to it…

It’s in the X2019 Nations Cup, and that means you won’t be able to see the race at all unless you have at some point at least started the relevant Menu Book, Book 49. However to even see the Menu Book itself you’ll need to be Collector Level 50 and have completed Menu Book 39 and watched the game’s ending movie. Phew!

It may depend on how your gearing is, but with the gearing I used I found 6th to be faster through those first few turns than 7th. It helps keep the rpm’s up.

I never had the problems going up the hill and being “pit maneuvered” like you have experienced. I tend to take the line all the way on the left so I can go full throttle through that little S bend leading to the downhill section. It usually allows for a couple passing opportunities on the brakes.
Oh, good point about the gearing. I'll definitely try your gearing to see what difference it makes.

Fun races this week, used a 900+HP ZR1 for race 1,never got out of 3rd gear, took 1:20.xxx,😆,as for race 5 i used RM,no pit,won by a couple seconds, full downforce, you can out brake the AI and go flat out thru the beginning to make up for loss of speed.Easy money.

Finished the X2019 menu book and proceeded to complete the last weekly challenge. That TM race with the X2019 kept me honest. I won it by just 2 second by not pitting and just ran my hard tires but P2 was catching fast, not breaking in the first sector was definitely key to stay ahead.

Is there any chance this Red Bull car has DRS and I just didn't know how to use it?

That's how poorly I finished in my first attempt.

Thanks to @Famine i caved and bought the x2019 anyways - sure it's a steep pay in but i'll need the car for completing all x2019 events either way 😁

anyone knows if there is a fix for not getting the weekly reward tickets?
Not sure if there's any truth in that because I have not tested it again for confirmation but when you did the weekly challenges, did you do them in order? I'm asking that because I realized the one and only time that I did not receive any of my reward tickets despite the system saying they were acquired was when I did the events in random order. I did the last and "hardest" challenge first and then completed the rest randomly. All the other times, I completed them from left to right and I got the tickets without any problems.

Again this might have been a fluke for me as I'm not sure if anyone else has made the same observations.

Think this is just coincidence. I’ve done them in order and out of order and have got all the rewards every time. I think it’s just bad luck I’m afraid!

Any tuning advice for the Championship race on the Weekly Challenges, besides high downforce? Lower the height, rollbars, camber etc.?

Yeah I tried hard tires and didn't get to top 3 before spinning out late. I hate that suggested gear that pops up on the screen, I just reflexively shift sometimes when I see it. Slows me down.

No idea why I tried it again but I did. Downforce all the way. Decided not to pit on RM's because if I did, I'd be somewhere down again. Was holding on to third for the last 4 laps. Gap was staying constant until the last lap when all of a sudden after the tunnel the AI was right on my ass. Just played it cool thinking 3rd is mine. Tires have been on all red for the past two laps. Then on the FINAL turn , the right hander, German driver taps me and bam,SPIN! I paused it and quit as I didn't want to give him the glory. I just shouldn't have tried again. This time I'm really done with the RB car. Bring on Thursday please.

Did all the races, but i have a question anyways. How are you able to run 14 laps on RM / 7 laps on RS, i can do a maximum of 9 on RM then they're gone. Talking about the X2019 race of course.
Btw, already exiting slow corners in 4th/5th gear.

I hate this AI!!! I approached the X2019 race for the first time. The best time was done by AI 1:38, I was 0.300 slower. The second time I changed the AI difficulty level from medium to easy, changed the front tires from hard to medium and did 1:35.... however, the AI did 1:31.5.... The same two races and the AI has a best lap time 6.5 seconds better! One lap! I barely won the whole race by 5 seconds....

PS Please don't laugh at my times, I play on the gamepad.

Finally got around to the X2019 race. First attempt so far I went for a No-Stop RH strategy, max downforce was the only adjustments to the car and finished 3rd, 3 seconds behind the leader. I had a couple mistakes at the last chicane, one of which surely cost me over 3 seconds.

The last few laps I was P2 and battling with P3. They'd pass me on the back straight, then I'd pass them right back into the downhill right turn. I'd have finished ahead, but the other mistake I made at the chicane (very minor loss of rear traction) was right at the end and allowed them to get by.

Oh well, it was sufficient to satisfy the conditions to collect the final WC reward.

Completely overread that you need all 39 menu books to be part of the weekly challenges. Will take me some time to get there again on my new account. At least i only needed 9 menu books (thanks, famine, for the info in the weekly article!) to get into the TTs again to make some money.

I wish you all an interesting new week of weekly challenges as of Thursday!

My rides for this week:
  • Sunday Cup - Mazda RX-Vision (my birthday gift)
  • Special Event - Obvious
  • European Clubman Cup 600 - Porsche 918
  • GT-R Cup - R33 GT-R
  • X2019 Nations Cup - X2019 25th Anniversary

I made a mistake by using just Mediums on the Nations race, causing me to finish 2nd with 3 seconds behind the leader. Might redo it with Softs.
