I don't think I'll do all five challenges for this week, mostly because I'm still working on the Super Formula bonus menu and therefore haven't unlocked the Red Bull Nations Cup races yet. That said, I certainly could do three of them. And while a six-star parts ticket may be only mildly interesting, I've found it can be a great way to save a lot of money if you earn something like an Ultra-High RPM turbo, or a Stage 5 weight reduction. Heck, I think I've acquired a Stage 5 weight reduction for the SLR McLaren and the Enzo, and IIRC they're worth about 500k credits each!

I'd say it's especially nice to earn an "Ultimate" part for an engine that can go into multiple cars, such as how I think I've won two Ultra-High RPM turbos for the Bugatti Chiron.

lets do a small challenge if anyone of you is up for it,how fast can you finish the Sunday cup weekly no rules just as the event says you are confined to a road car, here's my attempt ,i will not disclose the car just yet to keep it interesting 😅
I used a 100% stock car (on stock tyres) , that comes with RM tyres and has a horse on it's manufacturer's badge.

And my time is 59:911

Usually the " bone " refers to untouched but you can use it and if you change tyres cause the race demands to do so.

It's a term that used also for giving emphasis that you don't interfere with suspension settings , aero ,LCD , etc.
I don't use the term "bone stock" if I change tires. Tires make a HUGE difference in performance in this game. I would say "the car was stock, but I changed the tires to XX". "Bone stock", IMO, is absolutely 100% how you buy the car from the UCD/LCD/Brand Central and not a single touch to the car settings.

Edit: Well the ONLY caveat to the "Bone Stock" could be if you had a Gr.B car and needed to drive on dirt or snow. Those cars come with RH tires on them and you must change the tires to do any of the dirt or snow races. Even then, I don't think I would use the term "bone stock" if I changed the tires. I would use the terminology I stated above.

The Red Bull race is easier than I imagined, but still very hard. If I loose focus on the throttle just for a little bit, the car immediately spin out and tires get overheated super fast.
The 2nd place is so narrow. 1st place is definitely within reach but requires a lot more focus and consistency. I've been trying a couple times and I keep spinning out everytime I get distracted.

Ugh, not a fan of driving the RBX at all - hadn't done the menu yet so I did the menu race at Dragon Trail to unlock the weekly. Did the DT race with RM tyres which were just red-blocks for two laps before the end of the race, which I have to admit the car seemed pretty okay with. Trial Mountain tonight.
For the super high downforce cars, if you max out downforce in the tuning settings, driving on red tires doesn't seem to affect them too badly. Very handy for these races where you might be able to stretch a set of RS to the end and never have to pit. But I haven't tried the Red Bull race at Trial Mountain yet.

Tried to one stop on RM and RH and though the car wasn't too bad I was just loosing too much time and I wasted two attempts having been spun by the AI whilst on 'delicate' tyres. In the end I one stopped it with RS and less downforce to get a few lengths on the opposition down the back straight.

Same here. Using RS, one stop at the end of lap six. The top 3 stopped at the end of lap seven. I had about 10% left on the rear tires at the end. Won by 5 seconds or so. If I stopped on lap seven, when they did, they would've come out of the pits ahead of me and I wouldn't have been able to catch them.

How do I complete the X19 Red Bull Nations race?
So my weekly ticket says it’s at Trial Mountain, but in the cafe menu I onky have Interlagos, Sardegna and Seaside as races?

Ive not started the menu book yet, as still in another one, but are they more x19 races then shown?

Not a fan of the RB car, but managed to do the last race after several retries (ususally due to me losing the back end), started on mediums, changed to soft at end of lap 9, last lap pass for the lead left me with a 1 second gap at the finish line. As others said you'll be ok on fuel so leave it on 1 and don't refuel in the stop.

AI does some weird stuff, at one point one car slowed dramatically right on the apex of the first turn, me being flat out behind had nowhere to go other than straight in the back, luckily didn't cause a spin.

You can make loads of time in the first 3 corners up to the first tunnel, found it hard to maintain in the slow corners.

Edit: Forgot to say in the stop I had 7.5 laps of fuel left with 5 laps left to run, but the little white diamond suggested I needed to add fuel. Don't know why given I'd left the engine on mode 1 the entire race (I've seen the estimate/diamond be inaccurate when changing modes before, but never when left alone0.

Main account ran these cars:

Northern Isle: Honda S800 ‘66 - 2nd place - BONE stock - didn’t have the top end speed to catch 1st

Autopolis: Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) ‘22 - Swapped tires to RM - Way too overkill for this race. Was in 1st place on lap 2. Should have kept it BONE stock

Brands Hatch: BMW M3 ‘03 - 2nd place - BONE stock - I was the fastest in the turns, but didn’t have enough acceleration on the straights to catch first

Tokyo: Nissan GT-R Nismo ‘17 - 1st Place - Detuned to 600pp. Took 1st on lap 3. Too easy with this car. Should have tried a lower PP car

Trial Mountain: Red Bull X2019 25th Anniversary - 1st place - Pure bliss driving this car. This car, this track, this setup. If all races were as good as this GT7 would be a perfect game. No traction control and the rear was rock solid. Out corners, out accelerates and out brakes the competition but still came down to the wire to win. Pit after lap 7 for new tires. Here is my setup:

Edit: My main account has nearly 97M credits in it. I’m either going to have to buy more cars or start modifying my cars to spend some of my credits. But if I modify my cars they won’t be bone stock anymore. What will happen to my catchphrase then?

I used @praiano63 's setup, but I think the key thing to the handling is the downforce which is almost the same. I tried with lower downforce at one point to see if I could keep Drumont from always catching me on the back straight, but it didn't solve anything and made the car a little more squirrelly.

Ultimately I think this race is programmed for Drumont to fight you to the finish no matter what you do. Dude pit maneuvered me on lap 14 and cost me the race more than once which really ticked me off!! But it's a fun track and good race. I ultimately pit after lap 8 to make sure I didn't have tire wear issues with the RS tires on lap 14 :)

I might try your setup just to compare - out of curiosity what was your average lap time?

(BTW, random question for anyone that knows. Are the X2019 25th Anniversary and Competition the same car other than the livery?)

Didn’t realise my RB25 has 15,222kms.

Left the car stock. Pit end of Lap 9 and switched to RS. Took the lead, at start of Lap 11. Love how PD try to scare, with the AI programming boosting, to make it .2 seconds gap for the final few laps.

I think I was hitting an average of about 1:32. My fastest lap was low 1:31’s. My opening lap was a 1:33. You can just go full bore right from the start with the RS tires and all the downforce. Flat out, top of 6th gear through the first few turns. So long as you keep the throttle at a hair below 50% through the slower speed turns it keeps the car settled and the downforce keeps you on line. Roll on the gas on the exits and you don’t need to do the silly upshifting an extra gear to keep the rear tires from spinning up. I do recommend 2nd gear through the last 2 turns but that’s because 1st is too short to be useful.

Your experience was identical to mine. Most laps in the low 1:32s. Into the 1:31s on good laps and when I was drafting the competition on the back straight. I actually run 7th through the first 3 turns - you can really scream through there with the downforce - just watch out for slow AI. Then I only use 2nd on the 2nd to last turn. Upshift to 3rd for the final corner. Only thing I ever had to worry about was being pit maneuvered going up the hill after the backstraight. I can always pass the AI going into that turn and then the some how magically accelerate and try to take me out up the hill! I went back and forth between taking that corner in 5th or 6th to avoid that but it seemed to be a wash either way.

It may depend on how your gearing is, but with the gearing I used I found 6th to be faster through those first few turns than 7th. It helps keep the rpm’s up.

I never had the problems going up the hill and being “pit maneuvered” like you have experienced. I tend to take the line all the way on the left so I can go full throttle through that little S bend leading to the downhill section. It usually allows for a couple passing opportunities on the brakes.

I can't access the Red Bull at Trial Mountain. It just says event not yet available 😕....I've completed everything else so I'm not sure what's going on there
