The key is short-shifting, you can literally exit corners in 4th gear. If you use automatic... Uhh, good luck? Manual is a lot better...
Or you can just put it on easy! I won by 20s with TCS on 1 and Auto transmission

I'm still loving the weekly challenge events a lot... but why is it that we're having so many repeats so early into them?

I like Brands Hatch, but isn't this like 3 weeks in a row there? And another Special Race with the GT3 RS (which is a weapon, but kind of boring to drive in game)? There are hundreds of other cars worthy of their own events... not to mention classes and groups of cars.

As much as I love GT7, there are just sooo many instances where it would be very simple to satisfy the fans (longer races, more variety, events for un-used cars etc.) but they just mindlessly throw things together without any want for new experiences.

Oh well, they'll still be fun.

Or, bear with me here, throttle modulation. The accelerator is not an on off switch.

TCS is almost always a hindrance, and the Red Bull isn't even really aggressive on power. Everyone would benefit from learning throttle modulation rather than depending on TCS to sort it out for them.

And before any jimmies get riled, this isn't a "hurr durr TCS sucks" statement, it's a "anyone can drive without it if they practice with it off". Using it simply limits the ability to get better at throttle modulation and use it as a tool for getting faster.

It's easier with a wheel and pedals.

Ultimately TC is masking input smoothness and it's slower but peeps need to use what they need to stay on the track and racing.

I personally don't use assists or a controller but have no probs with anyone that uses other things to do their racing.

lets do a small challenge if anyone of you is up for it,how fast can you finish the Sunday cup weekly no rules just as the event says you are confined to a road car, here's my attempt ,i will not disclose the car just yet to keep it interesting 😅

Well as I have not yet unlocked the X2019 races I will only be doing the 4 this week.

First 4 races will be worth it, but buying a 3,5m car for 750k credits wont be worth it for me for race 5 i'm afraid
It appears often enough in Nations events to make it worth it.

Anyone got the deets on the 992 Special Event: laps, restrictions other than the car, winning payout?

I just want to go to bed and this is keeping me from it :|

A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges, the first of 2024, is becoming available to players as the clocks pass midnight in their local timezones, bringing five fresh events for players to tackle over the next seven days...

Sleep well, GTP prince.

Love these Porsche events. Still secretly hoping that they become permanent additions eventually.

Not too keen on the X2019 races, but running RM until lap 8 then going to RS made this race pretty easy, just watch for the AI running 1:26's towards the end. Other events were alright, finally got around to doing a Porsche Supercup 992 to make the one-make races a bit more interesting. I do wish they'd give up on parts tickets though, 99% of the time it's something useless.

I think they could offer more interesting events weekly. Those Sunday cup events are dumb. I'd wish each event would offer a bit of challenge.

Anyway, did Sunday Cup with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint '67 only the Swift was a bit of a threat. Not interested in doing it again with a lesser car to see how low I could go.

Got Bore S for the Toyota S-FR '15, but I've already installed them before so to the trashcan they go.

Won the Porsche event too.

Well ****, this is the first weekly challenge I'll not be completing. I don't own an X2019 (been saving for the menu book but, mods....) and don't particularly fancy the ball ache of a single make race, in a mental quick car, with a controller. Meh, I'll just grind Spa again and double the 750K reward I'll miss by completing 5 weekly challenges.

It's a bit annoying the redbull x race is behind completing the last menu book from the update
You don't need to complete it, only start it.

I also discovered a few weeks back that completing a race that's only unlockable (I guess, for want of a better word) through a menu book ticks off the race in the menu book even if you aren't actively participating in that menu book.

To save time in case they came up in WCs, I started them all in order, then went back and completed the quickest one to get rid of the compass icon from my screen; don't recall which. Anyway, when I did the WTC900 one a couple of weeks back, it ticked the race off in the menu book despite that book not being active.

It's worth noting again that the 25th Anniversary car is eligible, if you were awarded it for the 2022 GT World Series final "campaign" events. If you weren't then the Competition is an all-golds reward for the regular Super Licence.

Otherwise... yeah, steep entry fee. Though you will make a third of it back even without Clean Race Bonuses this week. You can always use it to polish off the five races in the series, which is 915,000cr before CRB - and doubtless we'll see it pop up again in a WC in the very near future.

For some reason I don't recall, I've got two Competitions as well as the Anniversary... Maybe a ticket reward?
