Question: who managed to won the Neo Classical event on Hard with no rain? Is this even possible?

I had 3 totally dry races and in all of them the Jaguar didn't pit. I've seen the Nissan pitting at lap 7 and the Porsche/Sauber at lap 9, but without rain, the Jaguar can do the whole race without stopping.

So that's the question: it's possible to beat that AI without rain?

Maybe if I use the cars as walls on turn 2 and stop caring about CRB...
On hard, the AI just slightly faster, not too much difference when this is about endurance and strategy. Difficulty setting doesn't matter too much. It has always been raining for me regardless of whatever setting I have.
I used the Nissan R92CP on RM tires, pit only once. There is no need to use other cars as wall. If the rain is just very brief, stay on RM and ride on the tire marks from the car in front, no need to switch tires. The thing about endurance race is to be patient and make sure your pace is nearly the same for all 10 laps. Just be patient and you'll gradually be passing one after another. If you get frustrated and push too hard, you'll likely make mistake that'll cost you unrecoverable time. It's not time attack. It's all about how consistency you are at every lap.

There may also be some variation in the other cars starting order. You might try to reload the event a few times to see how far back the Jag can start.

As far as the possibility of winning on a dry race? I don't know, but I suspect it can be done, however I've never won a dry race here. I've also only done this event a couple times.

You’ll need a Group C car to win if it’s a dry race,
A Gr.2 car can get 3rd if one of the 3 Group C cars gets held up by traffic in the dry.

I’ve also noticed with a Gr.2 car on Hard the AI will set a 1:22 fastest lap if you’re doing 1:27s and less, but if you’re doing 1:28s and slower their fastest lap will be a 1:24

Is there anyone that gets excited by a parts ticket?

950k is nice. More parts, though...? Keep it.

Since the game is online only (meaning you have to be online to play it) I have to imagine PD is gathering data from how its users play the game. I am 100% cool with that. So, one of two possibilities regarding parts tickets pop into my head:

1) A substantial amount of players are using parts regularly thus giving out those tickets is advantages to a chunk of the player base.
2) PD be trolling.

I know where my vote would go but I am not seeing what they're seeing.

The challenges look good. I don't mind the Porsche being there again because I love driving the new Porsche. Not enthused about another parts ticket. I would prefer either an engine ticket or an all invite ticket as a reward

Yes! Maybe there will come a time when I get sick of driving it (doubt it) but they could give me one of the five races with that car every single week

Probably too rich for my blood on the second account. I would have to buy the Porsche (334k credits) and the X2019 (3M credits) just to win a 750k ticket. Not worth it, IMO. I'll do the first 3 races, though, and take a 6* parts and 250k credits. I've been having some good luck with my parts tickets lately. Been getting ultra-high turbos and stage 5 weight reductions. Of course, I don't own some of the cars these parts are for, but at least it's not a carbon prop shaft.

Well, I'm sure it is very possible to win. You should be able to do it in the 787b or any of the Gr.C cars (though the 787b is the clear winner out of all of them). Remember, you can use N2O on these races. I used the bottle with my GT500 Supra so I could run FM6 and not be too slow on the straights. This gave me much more time on the track before pitting but kept my lap times competitive.

After some many Porsche events they are far from being "Special" at this point.
How would you feel about a 2000 GT special event?

stands to reason; I hadn't really thought of that.

I think this is the case. Including folks here on this forum, I suspect most players - especially early on - will try to upgrade the ride before a race/challenge. Few of us want to be on equal or lesser footing (by percentage, I suspect.) Therefore, parts are a hot commodity.

2) PD be trolling.

LOL! While I don't think PD be trolling . . . I'll admit that would make me laugh to some extent.

"Excited", probably not, but one of my long term goals for GT is to have a stock and tuned version of everything where appropriate. Since I've not really spent that much time tuning so far, when I do get around it, I'll have a load of engines, S-parts and normal parts to use and it'll probably save me a load of time and Cr.

Red Bull at Trial M, I did it 2 days ago.....zut....
they could have chosen Lago M, the only one I haven't done...... 😂 😂 😂

and for the 6-star ticket, it'll probably make me a 20th or 30th engine, I don't know since I don't take care of it.... it'll join the sixty or so parts sleeping in the workshop and of no use to me....

anyway, they're often useless or already installed.....so I don't bother with them.....

when I see I've won a coin, I don't even look at what it is, I just click on OK...OK....OK.....and that's it......idem for 5,000 or 10,000 😂

I think the one-make events left out of the everyday game are;

Porsche 992 One-make
Tesla Performance One-make

Just a guess.

I install every part I get and I used to buy the car if it was not already in the garage.
But more than often, the part I get is already installed...
I know what you mean. There's only so many Ultra-High RPM Turbos you can get for the BRZ Drift Car
