Still didn't get a chance to post about last week's challenges! So incredibly late, here I am:

1) Sunday Cup 500 @ Eiger Nordwand

Used a mostly stock Jaguar E-Type with only SH tires as a mod, after doing a couple tries with the original CM ones. Eventually took the win, it was a fun event with the old ladies scolding all those youngsters. No CRB unfortunately, as when I did this race I was still recovering from a crossfit session and thus made a lot of mistakes.

Parts ticket was some titanium rod and pistons for some car that I forgot.

2) American Clubman Cup 700 @ Daytona International

Did it with my trusty patrol car Charger Hellcat, at 630pp due to SS tires. Nasty on the more technical sections, unbeatable on the final sector where all those 717 horses made short work of everyone. Eventually unit 864 caught up with the leader and ended the illegal street race, again no CRB.

3) Gallardo Special @ Tokyo East Ring

Took out my Gallardo Balboni which had been sitting out since the first Gallardo one-make at Sardegna, still on that very same setup. At slightly above 700pp with SM tires it was easy to win this race, this time also with a CRB since it seems walls don't matter.

Got the money ticket.

4) Schwarzwald League @ Barcelona

I hate Catalunya, it's a terrible circuit in which I suck big time, so I was happy to tackle this race with the @praiano63 700pp setup for the Cayman GT4; originally wanted to use a new one that I bought but eventually decided to "fix" my old one. That setup is just a killer, obliterated the competition by the end of lap 2/7, drives like a wonder! Made a couple mistakes due to being unable to stay focused and lost a CRB that was so stupidly easy to obtain otherwise.

5) World Touring Car 800 @ Watkins Glen

After a hateful track, now a lovely one, wish I could race more on the Glen with some grindy event since it's such a beautiful circuit. The randomizer had me take this on with the M3 GT, which once again sent me to Praiano's patreon for a setup. Wonderful machine indeed, had never used it before and now I regret it, it was a really fun fun race. No CRB since the AI loves to throw themselves at you, but a dominant win regardless.

Car ticket gave me the Mitsubishi VGT which saved me a million, would've never spent such money for such a crap car otherwise.

And now, time for the new week...

What do you mean by 'demolish', what is it for you ? I ran that race in the Alfa ( full stock ) as well and I did not have this impression. Sure, you're faster because you drive at max. while most of the AI don't use their full potential, but I never felt like I could 'demolish' the win out of this.
I made a bunch of mistakes on my first try with it and still won by over 15 seconds, another run would be quite a bit more because I got more than a second a lap faster by the last couple of laps. Potentially I had a slow field for that one too but the car just seemed too quick for that race, I was something like 3-4 seconds a lap faster than the real world spec M3 I tried too.

ST la Croissant is a track that that is very unfamiliar for me plus i dislike it the most with Eiger reverse following just a bit behind.
After running the new GTR i pick a stock nismo 400R with the addition of SS tyres as we run it in the class of Titans at Tokyo east 2 weeks ago.
Managed to win on last lap but i really enjoy it .
Don't know if the AI was fast enough ( normal mod ) but the car was very enjoyable even if i don't know the track .
Nismo 400R is brilliant ( when tyre wear is off) for the track .

Well a nice deserved break from the Eiger and we are given a DTM race (bravo)
I always start from the hardest and work my way to the easy and this week is no different.

Peeked in my garage and jumped in the only labeled DTM car and ran an easy race.🔰
GT-R @ St. Croix A

In a thread somewhere it was mentioned that the Safety Car was now eligible for racing in events, so I took mine out for the run, another easy race. 🔰
Hypercars @ Monza

The only cars that truly belong here are the true old racers, and I ran it twice to get the CRB. First run with the 917K, easy but a lot of rain. 🚫

Just had to run the little Alfas wheels off at this race, just passed the lead above in final lap for the win 🔰
Looking forward to next week....

Trying dtm today its a very nice set to play !
I'm on hard difficulty with gamepad.

To make it enjoyable at maximum i've decided to have dtm cars tunes to 660pp and NA minus thé Ford rs500. All cars have tried are Mercedes evo2, BMW M3 Evo, Alfa 155 and ford sierra.

I can't finish 1st, second place with all cars but notaire with thé Ford Sierra wich under perform AT 660pp...

Thé Mercedes wich have thé worst ratio power/weight of thé 4 cars it thé car wich i post my best, 1.29-1.30 by lap and finish to 3sec from thé first.

Really enjoy thé agressive IA. I do it 5 Times this race and i'm notaire boring AT all, liké thé JGTC...

Why WE don't have theses race in thé game ???

When i play this race, don't Care about thé money price or else, its just fun ! What else ?

@Batschisane52 I did however I engine swapped it with the New Supra Motor then Increased the Body Rigidity and put every Mod available except for Nitrous and I can't remember about Weight Reduction I recorded the Video I think maybe it will let me send the last few minutes

Are you talking about the I believe 1989 or something BMW M3 Evo? Because that's the one I used

Also I did the Widebody kit as well

I really like the DTM and the JGTC races that PD has granted us in the weekly challenges, wishing that they could make these permanent as in a new championship (?) Or a menu book.
I have been running my sets of races with my versions of the AI opponents. Ford Sierra Cosworth, MB 190E, Alfa 155, and the BMW M3 Evo. 88
The criteria I go by is no engine swap allowed. I am having fun with this, finding out which car of the rivals is the better.

Well I can say that I do not like St Croix but the GT-R Cup was fun to do. A lot of pure fire action in each lap. I placed first, but I did not get the CRB because I hit a driver two times. I'm utterly disappointed because I wanted that extra 47k credits. But I received 200k since that was my third event completed in better than 3rd. So what did you guys think of that GT-R battle? Was it enjoyable or did you find it boring?

Wanted to do this week's challenges on hard mode again - and I did it for at least 4 out of 5 races. More about this later.

Race 1: Brands Hatch - Radical @602.21PP
I guess the update once again changed PP values 'cause when I chose the car it was under 600. Whatever. Race was fun and as usually (for me at Brands Hatch) pretty close. Took P1 at the last lap, underestimated a corner and lost the lead again before retaking it and winning the race🙂
1000015168.png

Race 2: Nordschleife - Porsche Taycan @699.99PP
Rain started almost immediately so this was a rather wet race. The Taycan did well and I took P1 at Schwalbenschwanz. Unfortunately the Porsche's top speed isn't the fastest, so the AMG Black Series passed me at Döttinger Höhe. Had to drive pretty aggressively to retake P1 at Tiergarten/Hohenrain and win this. Nice race, never had this much rain here before!
1000015173.png

Race 3: Monza - Aston Martin Valkyrie @872.45PP
When I hear "Hypercar" I always think "Valkyrie"😄
Unfortunately the car is extremely overpowered for this kind of events, so I felt very lonely for most of the "race"😟 Very easy victory!
1000015187.jpg

Race 4: Saint Croix - Nissan GT-R V-spec II R32 @652.41PP
I'm sure I have driven this layout before but I couldn't remember it at all, so I did 2 laps in TT before the race. The race was fun and quite challenging 'cause the red GT-R at P1 was pretty quick. But I managed to pass him towards the end of of the final lap.
1000015171.png

Race 5: Nürburgring - Mercedes AMG GT3 @756.67PP
So I admit that I switched to easy mode for this and I did this to be absolutely sure that I don't have to redo this race. And that's because I wholeheartedly hate this layout! It's just corner after corner after corner and you're more on the brakes than the gas. Awful, just awful!
1000015172.png

So what did you guys think of that GT-R battle? Was it enjoyable or did you find it boring?
It was rather enjoyable for me. The track isn't great but I don't dislike it as much as most people here. The are much worse ones in the game IMO. And while most of the competition was rather slow, the two cars in front (the new GT-R and the '17 one) were pretty quick.

Hell, I caught a heavy cold so I'll keep things short this week.

Race 1 Brands Hatch GP
Alpine A110 '17 ( quasi stock ) / PP 529
Had to push hard throughout the whole race, took the lead after Westfield on the final lap. Received a CRB.

WC_241004_R1.jpg

Race 2 Nürburgring Nordschleife
Porsche 911 '09 ( full stock ) / PP 585
Rain started at Flugplatz and got massive, could manage to stay on the track though and passed Carrazza at Hedwigshöhe for the win. Received a CRB.

WC_241004_R2.jpg

Race 3 Monza
Porsche 918 '13 ( full stock ) / PP 688
What an easy and boring race, PD could have called it Sunday Cup, don't ya think so ? Received a CRB.

WC_241004_R3.jpg

Race 4 St. Croix A
Nissan GT-R '24 ( full stock ) / PP 614
Needed two attempts here cos I misjudged a couple breaking points and corners as well as the car's speed and weight. No wall impacts on the second run then, taking P1 after the bridge on the final lap. No CRB received.

WC_241004_R4.jpg

Race 5 Nürburgring GP S
Alfa 155 '93 ( quasi stock ) / PP 659
I love the looks of my Alfa, I hate this track. Needed one attempt getting used to the car, the second brought the win. The Alfa slowly grew on me and I could go faster I think, not sure though whether I'll be back for more practice. Maybe ... with an M3 when I feel better.

@Sir Crashalot
You switched to easy race mode and took a Gr.3 car to the Ring event ? You Sir, made absolutely sure you wouldn't have to run it twice.

I updated the bop dtm (with green spikes) and group A (red spikes) in general, Bop: 650pp, wide cars but no diffuser, low personalised spoiler, 400hp max, minimum weight 1t and hard tires

I have been running my sets of races with my versions of the AI opponents. Ford Sierra Cosworth, MB 190E, Alfa 155, and the BMW M3 Evo.
I did the same. I can finish in the top3 with the Alfa(completly stock, easy) and the 190 Evo(fully tuned up, not as easy as with the Alfa), but I hardly reach the top 10 with the other two cars...(all on medium difficulty and RHs)

As the great randomizer tool (thanks a lot @Nakano219 for it, such a revolution for me) decided to give me three Italian cars on my first pull, I thought to go as a homer as possible, so...
2024OctoberWk1.png

European Clubman Cup 600
Went with the 8C the randomizer gave me, not much to say, except I love the car and can't understand why I basically never used it since getting it at the beginning of the game, especially considering it's a childhood hero for me!
Schwarzwald League
Decided to take out the 3.0 CSL swapped with Z4 I had used in the Human Comedy at Alsace. Driving with cockpit view and no race info at Nords was very hard, definitely around 20 restarts given stupid errors in dealing with power, too low on suspensions or just getting rammed by AI. Only second after battling on Dottinger at 295 km/h with the AMG Black Series, but very very satisfying run.
Hypercar Parade
Italian car at Monza, ok race not much to say about it.
Nissan GT-R Cup
I can't understand why a Fiat 131 Abarth Mirafiori is eligible for this event! Does anyone have any clue? Anyway, I had lots of fun in trying to tame this beast with swap and High-RPM Turbo (spoiler: I failed at this) even though the track is quite bland and I don't think I had ever raced on St. Croix A, so I lost my way a bit.
DTM
Nothing to be said about this event that hasn't been said yet. Masterpiece work with liveries, burn in place of Wurth logo is majestic, but also the Blustrada pretending to be D2 on the 190E is superb. Beautiful M3 with fake Jagermeister as well, or Steakhaus Apfel pretending to be Martini. All this work just to be forgot after three races? I can't believe this, so I hope it'll be added permanently as a championship and the same for JGTC (where liveries were cool, but just one step below this, imho). Also, the 19 cars on track make me think that a new Gr. 4 car from that era is maybe coming in November update? Possibly a Calibra?

Scape
Seeing Colle dell'Agnello in GT7 was one of the most WTF moments in my GT life, since it's at like 40 km from my home, but I was quite proud to see it, if you understand me. Anyway, since it was closed just last week because of the first snow of the year and because of the heavily Italian taste in this week's cars, I decided to head there for a tribute.

That "Fiat" looks awesome...have you`shared that livery ?
Thank you for appreciating it! Yes it is, even though it was created just as a curiosity given the similar look of the Hakosuka and the 131 (no wonder, given the timeframe) and not to share, but I am happy that someone appreciated it. Here
Just update the rings with a similar one, always by Work, but without the gren bolts, with 15" rim instead of the 20" beast I put on the style to have the same model as features in the photo.

Similar to the exercise I did after seeing the Lancia LC2 in person at Gino Macaluso's museum and trying to recreate it on a 787B

Challenges done, definetly a fun week despite me having caught somewhat of a cold (still went out to see the massive Antonov though, couldn't miss that).

1) European Clubman Cup 600 @ Brands Hatch GP

For the first one, Nakano's great randomizer picked for me the Alpine A110, which still had the old setup from the last one-make race I've used it in, which means it was basically stock with SS tires and the brake controller. Fun stuff, managed to overtake Beauvouis on the beginning of the final lap. No CRB, had a couple hugs with some other cars.

20970429764067186.jpg

2) Schwarzwald League @ Nurburgring Nordschleife

Always love to drive in the Green Hell! Rando sent me here with the 996 GT3, and since I had one that I randomly widened some time ago for apparently no reason I decided to give it the 700pp Praiano setup. It was based on RH tires, but around sector 3 it started to rain and the map showed dark blue clouds as well. So I quit the race, switched to inters, and had a wonderful dry race. Go figure. Car is wonderful to drive though, gonna bring it to LM for some money grind as well.

20969889034709325.jpg

3) Hypercar Parade @ Monza

Brought out the 918 Weissach Package Salzburg Edition for this one, which I hadn't been using for AGES since the battery just depleted in the blink of an eye. Things improved a lot since then, and giving a second chance to this car proved me that it is a fantastic machine indeed. Utterly dominated, moving on.

20970737619920741.jpg

4) Nissan GT-R Cup @ St. Croix A

Never actually managed to fall in love with St. Croissant, it's not the worst track out there but I simply cannot find any flow in it, it's just a mixture of 90° corners and straights, not fun at all. Never tried the A layout before I think, definitely not my favourite, at least the full track has more diversity in it. Anyways randomizer sent me here with the new R35 T-Spec and I decided to go in completely stock; I have to say, it was a fun race indeed! Well fought, a close win and with the CRB as well! What can I say, car is great BTW, loved it.

20970790204661085.jpg

5) DTM @ Nurburgring Sprint

Again a wonderful special event that will sadly go away in a week, it's a shame, liveries were really on top and the AI was definitely more fun than usual, never tried the Sprint layout before but can't say anything bad about it, it's engaging. Came here with the Alfa 155 at slightly lower than 700pp and dominated, lost CRB right at the second to last corner of the last lap because tiredness was kicking in, that was stupid. Definitely going to re-do this in some of my other cars before it disappears!

I have one challenge remaining and that's the Hyper Car Parade series race, wish me luck. Once I complete this I will have finished all events with at least a bronze and then I'll get the big award, 500k credits for my hard labor and work.
