Fell in love once again with my Porsche-powered Beetle.

6-Star Ticket Reward: Ford GT '17.

Quick results before the new week:

Unfortunately didn't had much time to do RA race, so this 2nd place was my best result. RM with Medium Turbo, 2 pitstops. I had a massive spin in the middle of the race that felt like losing a whole lap. FeelsBad

AND SURPRISE! YOU GET A SHAFT, I GET A SHAFT, EVERYONE GETS SHAFTED!

To me it does not look bugged itself, I think simply @Nakano219 (to whom I give many thanks for this awesome tool, something PD could and should simply implement in game!) has had no chance to manually add the new races, but it is still possible to select manually the events.
Since the randomizer seems still bugged, I had a look into my garage and thought I'd stick with some of my former Special Event cars.
Yeah, sorry, it wasn't a bug - it just slipped my mind last week (and would have this week, thanks @IngWeltschmer for the tag to jog my memory).

It's updated for this week now.

Did the St. Croix race this morning before work to get it out of the way. It was actually pretty great. Not sure I've ever driven this specific layout in VR, but in VR at least it's more fun than I remembered.

A nice spin on lap 6 meant that it came down to the wire. Good time.

I got these all done earlier this morning. No real challenges this week - normal difficulty.

Tokyo Expressway - Honda Fit Hybrid '14 - I initially bought some SS tires on the car, but that put the PP way over the suggested amount. I went with CS tires instead. That left me slightly under the recommended PP, but still easily within reach of the win. First ticket achieved.

Grand Valley - Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71 - I upgraded the tires to SS, but didn't make any other changes. I was only able to get a P2 finish. The car has plenty of power, but can't really make use of it on the long straight because the transmission only has 4 gears. It hits the rev limiter, topping out at 190km/h. Still, P2 is enough for the second check mark. Good enough.

Grand Valley - BAC Mono '16 - Like the other Mono events, the only upgrade I made to the car was the tires: SS. Easy win. Second ticket achieved.

Deep Forest - Nissan R32 GT-R NISMO '90 - I went completely overboard with modifying the car. I thought I remembered these GT-R events needing the car to be right at the PP limit to be competitive. Now that I've done it, I think I was mistaking it for the Silvia series. I got the car up to around 650PP and had no problem blasting through the field. Easy win and fourth check mark.

St Croix - Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car - I went with a 4RS-4RS strategy on this. It required some short-shifting to make the fuel last 4 laps. I took fresh tires on the pit. Easy win. Third ticket obtained.

The roulette ticket gave me 500,000 credits, which I'll happily take.

Please forgive me for not knowing this sooner but what is this "Randomizer" and where do I find it and if possible how to use it?
Yeah, I'd like to know what the Randomizer thing is too. However I will resume playing Sunday and knock every single challenge out with a first place finish.

Finally got last week's WC finished. Just the blasted Road Atlanta challenge to get out of the way (there's a reason I'd never completed it previously), and i managed after 4 attempts (that SUCKS).

I to bend over and accept using the apparently-meta LM55. Using RMs I found a good balance between fuel maps, keeping it on 5/6 when cruising and 3 when making overtakes or trying to ditch a tailgater. With a short shifting technique I was able to leave enough in the tank to push in the third stint when required (useful, given that I took a sand bath late on after braking too hard at the uphill left after the esses). Chasing the podium places, I switched to FM 1/2 for the final 2 laps and I ended up more than 5 seconds in front.

Would be a great race of it wasn't for the strange AI behaviour which just can't be ignored. Still enjoyable in these beastly machines.

It's a prime example of eveything that is wrong with "fast car" races in GT. Racing fast prototypes and open wheelers is possible in real life because everyone knows that if you begin fender bending in them someone is going to get hurt - Stefan Bellof and Gilles Villeneuve as the ultimate examples, Allan McNish and Mike Rockenfeller too although they mostly escaped unhurt - but in the game the AI happily side swipes and brake checks everyone to the point in which there's so much smoke and shrapnel in the air ahead that it's hard to see the next corner.

Clear the weekly races today .
For ST Croissant i choose LM55gr1 RH tyres FM6 non stop .
Slow race but even if i drive very carefully didn't get CRB , perhaps some light " touches " made the difference cause i never pass track limits.

As for BAC , i don't want to talk about it since always is been a disaster for me .

The rest two was really enjoyable and I'll repeat them again .

A stock Carrera 73 on SS tyres is a must for GV

The GTR race i use the new one but the pleasure was a stock 400R on SS tyres
It's a must try car ,no brutal force but has everything you need to enjoy the race .

All races was at normal mod.
Enjoy your runs guys .

Edit
Not forget to mention, 6* ticket gave a clear , solid one million 😍

The BAC Mono can get in the bin. Just the lightest brush from the AI is enough to spin you out.

Don't race it aggressively, it brakes way to much on two corners just drive round it. Wait behind and then drive round.

Don't over drive the car and if you are manual user then use 3rd for most of the exits.

It's quite an easy race just a little longer to get to the front than some.
