But since you have a Sharkport, do you have the MK Program?
That program will let you edit your garage to have any car that you are in need of.
If you don't have it and would like to get it, look up the member here by the name of Heydu. Find a post of his and there should be a link to the MK Program in his sig.

Tried a few in the calsonic....best i managed was a 20.2/36.8. tho the overall lap time was about .700ths slower than best laps w/ the oreca and rx7. I think w/ the right setup and the perfect lap this car could be a pretty good contender, but im not sure yet, will have to run some more laps in it. But im done for tonight...got the next 3 days off work so i'll have plenty of time to work on this. hehe

Re this Viper thing, in the PAL version one if the big Vipers is under Chrysler instead of Dodge ... I think they're both under Dodge in the NTSC version, but I'm not sure ... No idea if I'm making sense here to anyone. Will look when I get home, if I don't forget ... :lol

What I do is just buy 10 or 15 Diahatsus and then go into MKEditor and sawp them out for F094S. Then sell the F094S for 850,000 a piece, easy way to make about 10 milion dollars.

i dont know what the latest version of MK's is (they seem to come out w/ a new one every week) but ive got v.38 and you can just go in and give yourself as many credits as you want. Alot quicker than the daihatsu->F1 trick

BTW, Pedro, I heard a rumor somewhere that all your cars were 'Gubbed' A little birdy told me. If that was the case you really should let us know. Don't be so shy about it.

Im no shy ,i tell eveyone about it not all my cars are GUBBED ,just the ones Boom picks for races ,he must have some sort of telepathy ..I think he gets a kick out of it ,and waits for me to come onto the race thread and say my infamous line "Guess what my cars GUBBED"

BTW is GUBBED a slang word that is used in the states,if so what is it's meaning...

I'm not sure, haven't heard it before, but it sounds derogatory.
In an earlier post, you mentioned the ability to watch GT3 replays on the computer(i.e. independent from the PS2) with a Sharkport. Is this ability afforded to users of the X-Port? Seems to me, the data from the game disc would be needed.
My roomy tells me that there's been some kind of ruckus about last week's race results. Unfortunate.
I'd better get busy with this weeks event.

Ha haaa... Just edited my save with MKs editor.. Beautiful 👍 Now I have all the cars for this assignment. As well as 2 Lancia Stratos that doesn't work.. They still look like the two Diahatsus they replaced. Only the wheels are bigger... Ohh.. And I have a trillion creds as well... Success !

Feels like the Esperante is the car for me this week. Me no like this track - the first two turns gives me the same kind of frustration as the first two in the previous race

Oreca - no, have to complete almost all races in beginner to get it..

Seems like i'm slight off the pace this week w best T2 37.7 so far..

OK, done with complains , anyone has some good settings for the Panoz they want to share? I will post mine if someone is interested.

The lancias will work, all you have to do is go into settings and move the auto setup gears one click either way, some kinda glitch at first. Once you change the gear ratios they will run fine. And raise the ride height up some to keep the tires from poking through the hood Sorry off topic.

well, i tried this out, but it seems i should've remembered i needed to have at least one oil change performed. 21s and 38.1s in my 718 hp c5r. i dunno if that's good or not.

Are you refering to one of my posts.?

If so what i said was just a theory that i had .
And that i had asked a similar question in the past,but it was never really answered so it still remains a theory..But from your comments, the need for the GT3 game data sounds tangable, so i guess my theory is shot to hell And you can only use the PS2 to view them...
But this brings up another question..What part do the drivers play in all this..? I was told some time ago that i could not use the X-port because the driver software was not compatible with Apple computers but the hardware was

It's all very confusing to me right now hopefully one of the X/sharkport users can shed some light...

The only other way to watch GT3 replays on PC ,is if they have been converted to Mpegs/WMV files..
But i guess you need the sharkport/x-port in order to convert them to this format..

Back to the race
I've still not run anymore laps since yesterday and im still to break into the 36's @ T2 im not having much luck with this track maybe it's like the first week of school ..trying to fit into a new group

i just ran it with the viper even though im not in yet boom should pm me soon i think but my t1 was 21.734 and t2 was 39.540. not great but that was only takeing a 20 min testing period so i hope to better those times tonight. peace out

new times for me with the viper are T1-21.333/T2-38.971. after another 20 min hopefully i can get my t1 in the 20's and my t2 time in the 37's. then i think i will be a decent contender in the am class which i think ill be in?

I'm considering less aggressive damping, lowered downforce, lowering the lsd settings, lowering the brake settings and adding tcs. I might try lowering the rear spring rate too.

If someone could try the c5r to tell me if i'm on pace, please do.

Actually, a LSD is the answer to any turning problems with the right suspension setup I have found recently. . .

I tried the Corvette once and was getting roughly 21s and 38s with it and I

believe I had a low spring rate in the front and a high in the rear along with maxed

out Bound and rebound of the dampers. . . I did not increase the chamber or toe at

all and pulled the stabs up high. I did however have a downforce of max in the front

and 1.15 in the rear and it seemed to fit fine. try something like that out.

well, finally broke into the 20.xxx T1s and the 37.xxx using my car of choice. The one problem that I am going to have this week is this, there are certain cars that are prize car only and then there are the ones that you purchase. . .

Do the purchased ones increase horsepower by any chance???

Hey miata:
Dealer cars need to be broken-in to attain maximum power. Change the oil first, then run it @ test course for around 100-150mi./160-240km.(I don't remember, just check the HP periodically), then change the oil again. If you don't change the oil before you run it, the break-in will take much longer. Prize cars need no break-in, just oil and it'll have max. power. As I'm usually pressed for time, the prize cars are the way I like to go.
