Wierd people are everywhere, nothing unique for GT5. However, I'm specifically concerned about the mentality of those people who seek revenge if you accidentally bump them off the track during a race, even if you apologise.

đź‘Ť What makes any of us normal? And by who's standards?

đź‘Ť What makes any of us normal? And by who's standards?

By the mass' standards ;)
So yeah, maybe the psychopathic patients are the real normal ones, and we are actually the ones who are nuts, when using the standards of the extra-terrestrial 'humans' :scared:

I feel like we're going off-topic now... or is it just me?:P

Who's we? I don't like to be associated with mass standards. :scared:

I joined a Room called (Over 21) as soon as i joined the room i heard moaning sounds!!:scared: I quickly log off lol i never tough of such thing here on GT5, well... i guees there more to come... and another thing that is annoying.. User's that pretend to be females..... I just saying >.>

Many things... a young kid from England who was obsessed with spiders and would not stop asking questions about USA, I mean it never stopped for one second... a guy who mumbled to himself (using a mic) and said some quite disturbing things, like the "voices" told him to do it... a host who would do whatever anyone asked him to do, so we spent 1/2 hour practicing and changing settings and never actually raced (I left the room)... a host who would kick anyone for barely bumping his car a tiny little bit, he was totally paranoid and freaked out about it ("Don't you touch me! Don't do it! You're too close man, back off!") LOL it was weird and stupid... etc etc etc. There's a lot of weirdos out there, it is the internet after all. Myself, just my sense of humor is weird, silly, strange and some people just don't get it but I don't care. :dopey:

A room owner waited for everyone to go to track, then he raised the PP limit, went to track and quickly started the race. That's certainly ONE way to win races :P

What a douche :grumpy:

("Don't you touch me! Don't do it! You're too close man, back off!")

I came across a guy just like this on the 'ring, I took him cleanly at carousel, he took too much speed in and ended up on the right hand line, I stayed low and left and came out faster (not even close to making contact).... then he shouted "what are you doing?!?!" ummm.... racing? this is a racing game, you just got passed cause you made a mistake, so he kicked me....

yeah, i got kicked just by drifting a few inches :boggled: but oh well, personal space i guess.. lol

People (of same language as you / the lobby / messages there-in) who simply don't read the room title, then don't read the text chat messages to them (their PSN ID in capitol letters), or listen to what's being said to them on the mic.

The lobby is near full, everyone is driving ROAD cars and then some numbnuts gets in a racecar, or we're all driving road cars from the 60's / 70's and they jump in a Audi R8 4.2 etc etc (the above happens)...

OR..

Room title clearly says "MEMBERS ONLY" - a gatecrasher arrives, first thing they say:

more pp / change track / racing tyres

Not a "hello", or any kind of welcome or introduction, just an order for us to change to what they want.

So they get kicked - 2 minutes later, continuous PSN messages of abuse start arriving (as per usual) ....

Why oh why do people go into a lobby, ignore everyone and everything (politely) addressed to them, do whatever they want and then throw the toys out the pram when they get kicked..??

Unbelievable....

- Sort of why I don't join “danish only”-servers.

I have seen many. One guy made a lobby called Indy 500 a he set 1 lap  and another made a 24h of Le Mans lobby with 200 laps and he was doing all these laps alone, without other players
What have you seen?[/QUOTE
Hello, I was driving today and I thought about this thread, I think I know what this guy was doing.
If you have the penalty on weak, you can drive around the track alone and find out just how far off track you can get away with and what you can bump into without getting the computer (XXX seconds) penalty, and you can`t do that in warm-up mode (I don`t think đź’ˇ).
But I could be wrong... just a thought.

I can totally relate to this. We usually have a room up with pretty strict regulations set, some people come in and start demanding changes. What do they think this is? Lol. If someone can't handle the regs, move on!

Last night we had this guy come in and demand changing the tire regulation, no hello, no bother to look at what everyone else is driving, nothing! Just "change tires", no "can you...", nothing, just "change tires"!

Why do people demand things so rudely? If someone asks for something reasonable, that's ok, but something that affects the whole room (one guy on softs and the rest on hards), get outta here. Some people just have no people skills.

Some people just have no people skills.
The Internet- Where everyone gets to be heard, even if they shouldn't be.

Whenever those requests come in, I don't even acknowledge them. I'm also quick to start races, which helps cut down on the useless banter. I came to race, this isn't Facebook! I also never hesitate to kick. Don't like the way I run a room? Bye. Can't be a decent person? See ya. Berate rather than offer help? Buh-bye.

This isn't the Real Babysitting Simulator!

Had some kid/teen/young "adult" join a lobby I was in. After a few minutes, all I hear is continuous cussing that would make a sailor look like a wimp. All of it coming from this guy down onto some guy who was apparently "jumping" and some other stuff I couldn't hear. And almost the whole lobby (minus me and one or two other guys out of 12 or so) were in X1's. Dragging.

Apparently even the slightest "jump" off the line is bad and you should be yelled at constantly for it. Or so this immature "thing" thought.

Then we head to the Nurburgring 24hr. After 2 races - one being won by an X1 and the other by an Escudo - he leaves, asking on what the best cars are and insisting he just started playing 3 days ago. Lo and behold, someone points out he's level 21, and the guy then tries to explain this is his other account. He left in the end.

Another couple of times: Seeing "I'm broke, I just [lost my save data/started playing X days ago]. Can someone send me some cars?" Upon looking at their profile, and they're level 40. Just sickening :yuck: and is one reason why I doubt humanity these days.

Slovakian lobby yesterday:

"Marcedes/BMW/Audi Cup"

So, I joined, and the pp was about 614.

The host greeted me with "helo."

I quickly typed "Hello noob. That's the DTM." and left.

A few minutes later, I saw "DTM Cup" and it was the same host. Some people... :nervous: Who doesn't know the DTM?

I once raced in a room with a guy who sound exactly like Hank Hill. I could not stop laughing at some of the things he was saying and damned near pissed myself. I ended up getting kicked because I couldn't drive due to the fact I had tears in my eyes from laugh so hard, lol.

That sucks I tell you what.

I hosted a "Woo" Free Run room ( usually does) restricted all aids, set fixed host, not allowing microphones and set boost to none and drag to weak etc.
Sees someone join, telling me to up the PP (was set to 700).
Said "No FGT or X1 crap", check my PP level for my 0/0/0 FGT, and set the PP to 740 since even my highest PP rated LMP car had less.
What-ya know, he tells me to set a higher PP.
Set it to unlimited then went back in and was ready set it back to 700 once I heard the FGTs or X1's sound.
He took out the FGT, was kicked back in lobby then left after some well mannered ***********'s and *****.

Not long ago, I hosted same room again with a friend and someone else joined and asked the same thing.
I removed the PP level to see what color of his FGT he obviously would bring out.
Told him that bringing out that car only puts you to shame.
He then said that he had never tested the car before and that he wanted to try it out.
Oh well, I let him drive it for a couple of minutes while I was in lobby, reading stuff on my PC.
Friend who was AFK finally came back.
I wanted to bring out my Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car since my friend was gonna do it as well.

...

Game goes black and shows the GT5 logo in the right corner as I go to the track...*

Had it on fixed host, and had to restart the game.
The FGT kid hadn't even made it to the end of the track when it happened.
Almost felt sorry.

* These crashes are happening more often than ever now and sometimes it's 1/20 of all times that I change car that it happens.
That or it simply stops reading the car list and simply stays there like the game forgot that it was supposed to load the car list...:yuck:

I host a lot of regulated rooms whether it's drag or racing, if someone comes in and starts barking orders I just kick them, I've played this game long enough that I know what happens when you start changing everything for people, they pull out stupid cars... I've also started getting smart I usually title my room as whatever I'm doing, then put "Gays only" at the end.. All little kids are "Homo-phobes" so they don't enter! :D .. And no I'm not racist/sexist either so if "gay" people do enter my room you are more then welcome to hang out! :)

I've seen those lobbies. I have always wondered... Isn't that sorta looking for a fight?

No , it's 2012, if the people in my room are really immature enough to be "gay bashers" I'll throw them right out first :D

The first part, kicking people when they start barking orders is the obvious way to go. If people haven't learned good manners from their Momma and Daddy by the time they get to my GT5 lobby, I'm not about to teach them.

The second part is just fanning the flames in spite of your good intentions.

Hey there Johnny. :)

MrMelancholy15
I approve. One of my best friends is bisexual. And, she's nice, so I don't care. :)

I'm married, but my older brother is gay, and I've had gay friends all my life, male and female.. It's not something to discriminate against, so well put bud!

And @ Johnny .. I'm not sure what you mean by fanning the flames but I know the only people (that probably would) discriminate are immature little kids/teens, that why I do that, they don't dare come in and if they do they are greeted by some seriously "p'd" off people.. I know it may be misleading to an extent but like I said, ANY "MATURE" person is always welcome in my rooms!

I'm a teenager. Are you saying that I'm immature? :indiff:  :D
