hey Yoooooooo Guys!

Hello,hello,hello?....is there anybody out there?
I know i'm comfortably numb! 👍 :)

Reply comes back " shut up trying to make an acho, dumbass!"

Well I ran a few more laps today and managed to slash my T times down ... I broke some serious barriers ... but I couldn't beat my overall time. I was going to run a few more laps tonight (I typically submit on a Sunday evening), but my bloody PC has gone down and I'm spending my time trying to fix it :(

I'm going to have trouble beating your times this week, Kolyana. True to form, even my son is now beating me. I'm finding that by Friday I get my best times, and I just end up frustrating myself over the weekend.

This weekend was full of frustration of having to pass the AI cars cleanly before settling down to driving cleanly. I wish there were a way to do multi-lappers without the other cars.

I'll give it one more try this evening, but I suspect my time this week will drag me back out of the top 10. :grumpy:

I loved this combo ... in the end I was running sectors very similar to some of the top guys and gals, but for me the frustration was not overtaking the AI, but rather running a fast lap ... three times running :P

I don't think I'm in a podium position, but I hope for a top ten slot :fingers crossed:

Submitted my time to CFM. Thought the combo was rather good myself, though didnt get in as many laps as I would have liked this week. Hopefully enough for a points finish. As usual some very fast times set, and this week I could feel the places were I was dropping time, I could do a few very quick sectors, ( for me ) :) but just couldn't string them together. ( as usual ) :dunce:.
Good Luck to everyone, espeacially those that have put in a big effort this week, three clean fast laps aint easy 👍 .

Steve

time submitted, pretty happy with it, took around 5 seconds off my original.

good luck to you all.

HA! I was like that too ... still am. I just noticed that my third lap was TWO seconds slower than my 2nd ... not that it was a bad run, but my 2nd lap was BLISTERING ... so now I'm sitting here thinking that I could have chopped 3 seconds off my overall time if only I had run at peak performance :P

So how many other deranged idiots are up now trying for the one last attempt at a better time (and failing) like me?

Work productivity will be down tomorrow. But at least I beat my son! :dopey:

Yeah been trying for a few days to beat my 1st day run ... and still can't ... now that's frustrating ! :banghead:

And that 1st corner ... I must have done about 5000 re-starts ... just to pass the 3rd car with full throttle ...

I had fun just competing this week. My first time doing so and I feel confident about my times. Albeit, I know I could have done better. I'm not going to fret over it though: I can ALWAYS do better in every race. I always make a mistake here and there, but usually nothing major (unless the AI gets in the way and pushes me off the course...).

Well I was really quite shocked to see that I had been leaving so much time on the track ... not against the 'big boys', of course, but even hee in DIv3 ... I was happy with the car and combo in general, so to see that I was so far off the pace was somewhat shocking.

I can only hope that through experience, watching others, and seeing the different ways corners can and should be taken, that I start to learn and get faster.

Well.
What can i say guys and gals?

Great running from everyone, first of all.

Second, i am a little shocked at being promoted to div2, but also quite proud! :nervous:

Third, i really hope that you won't mind me popping in here for a chat? i have made some great friends here and don't want to loose touch. :)

This week's run will be a test of not only driving skill, but also set-up skill, and will gladly help out on set-up's if anyone needs some advice. I know that sounds a bit cocky, but i really don't mean it that way, honest!

A bit off topic, but I just had a look at the weather in Portland and it's like 50 degrees ! That's like the coldest it has ever been here where I live haha, not to mention that it's like an yearly average of 73 here ... Sorry for bragging haha.

But nice meeting all of you guys and girls here in Division 3, looks like me, ballstothewall and villianpl have been moved over to Division 2 ... wish us luck, I think we will need it haha :)

@Kolyana, I am also majorly amazed at how fast the top guys are ... I mean I thought I took every corner as fast as I humanly could ... and still got left behind by 5 sec. overall or whatever, but just keep at it !!

Congrats on moving up. My goal is simply to be in the top 10 consistently! So go kick some tires in D2 and show 'em what D3 people can do (or at least a couple of them).

COngrats on the promotions :P

@Krag, I used to live in Louisiana (originally from England) for 6 years ... now THAT was some crazy heat and humidity!

Thanks for the motivation ! I'm sure we will try our bestest haha 👍

If I compare my time this week, it's about mid pack in Div. 2 ... hope to do a bit better than that !

And I hope you get to your goal of Top 10 finishes each week !

Hey, even more people moving up to D2. Congrats to all of you! Go kick some bootie!

If 50 degrees is the coldest it's ever been where you live, boy am I glad I don't live where you do. I drove to work today in my Miata with the top down, loving the WARM weather here (I don't think I've filled in my location, but I'm in the "WRS Division 3 Aloha team" - Aloha is a community slightly west of Portland, Oregon). Depending on how you pronounce Aloha, we can tell if you live here or are a native!

Thank you very much Kolyana, and you still impress me with your times and dedication (my girlfriend will do 2 laps, spin off once and then never touch GT4 again ... not that she has done more than 10 laps maybe haha)

I'll also share as much of the settings info I can with you guys, that is if mine is producing good times haha

Well I think we here in South Africa are used to the heat ... it's now getting colder and it's still 60 degrees.

Wish you luck in Division 3 ! See you soon in Division 2 !

Grrr, you beat me this week. I was very unhappy with the time I submitted, knowing there were several seconds of improvement to be had (but I can't figure out where the 10 seconds comes from to get to play with the big boys). And what's worse, JMitch17 beat me too! He was 5-6 seconds behind my times yesterday evening, so that's the last time I'll share a good line with him! :)

I'm not sure where I'll find the time to figure out tuning and good lines for this week's combo, specially since I'll be gone this weekend.

Well that's 9 degrees C ... so that means I can drive my Miata to work with the top down every day of the year ! haha, not to brag, but the city I live in has been rated as the best city temperature wise in the world (with only 20 degrees C difference the whole year) ... no snow ... or lots and lots of rain ... just beautiful sunshine !

Firstly congratulations to the Div 3 Podium getters, circa86, kragbees and ballstothewall, well raced guys  .

Thanks Steve, I will certainly do that and like ballstothewall said as well, we will drop in for sure !

Like you say, just having a go is already an achievement with such good racers around here !

Hi Nat, I have to admitt at being a bit shocked to finish just in front of you this week. You had some great sector times, faster than mine, you must have been losing time in the final sector, but still you showed a big improvement, so i wouldn't worry to much, i think its your best result to date, and i can only see you gettin faster in the coming weeks.👍 ( hope i can say the same about me )

Steve

Thanks Steve for the encouraging words. I think a lot of what lies ahead for me is pure experience ... I don't even know that I'm leaving time on the track unless someone happens to tell me :P I hope to study a few replays, see how people did things, and hopefully carry this little nugget forward with me to the next race.

Hi girls and guys ;) Thnx for motivating us to fight in DIV 2 :) We will show them ;)
And of course we all are staing in DIV3 GTP topic :) we are not leaving you guys :)
Also we hope that Nat will last time place us in UDIV3LB ?:) (so I could finaly take the lead .. ;) just kidding :D )
