I just have to get through Saturday. Sunday is all day football for me so no problem there. Tomorrow though is college ball so I can watch some of that plus the ALMS action. I think I should be good till the demo drops for us regular folk. I wish I knew the exact time it's coming out though.

EDIT: I almost forgot. I might be able to get NBA 2K12 early from my early spot so that could hold me for tomorrow too. If wife didn't have to work I was going to take her all around. Movies, BRIEF shopping, eats, etc.

Haha i will have wifey here for the rest of the weekend too keep me occupied. In the mean time i will go back too fm3 hotlapping and finish some liveries for transfer too fm4 👍

So the demo will drop thuesday?

Yo Zoo and Bogie tell me mooaarrrrr!!

Well done to all who hot codes. Lucky Gits.

Head tracking work with demo?

Unfortunately not. I wish it was I would love to try it out.

Graphics really are amazing, I knew they were going to be good but T10 has really done well.

Lighting is great, there are no "dark interiors" like some of these clowns keep posting.

I can't really speak for the physics, I only have a controller... until next week.... but from what I could tell, with out FFB, will all aids off the cars handled very realistically. They have came along way from FM3.

There are three single race events like the E3 build with the 458, WRX, and the Dodge Charger? Lol I can't remember I am tired. There are multiple difficulty levels I played on easy, medium, and hard. None of them are really competitive for me. I was going to attempt the other difficulties but it is now 4:45 AM here and I need to go to sleep lol. I will post on the AI later.

Rivals mode is a lot of fun. There is a Zonda Cinque Roadster hot lap event and two events in the '12 M5 and 458 racing through traffic. That was honestly some of the most stressful and entertaining races I have ever had in a sim. You are trying to do a lap as fast as possible through traffic racing against your rival. I can't count how many times I barely went over the line or lightly touched another car and it would invalidate my lap. But I honestly didn't care about doing another lap because it was that fun. They also split up the leader boards for people who do an entirely clean lap and those who get in a collision / use rewind / etc etc. I guess that is mainly for the casual players who can't do a clean lap to save their life.

I was blown away when I loaded the game and it went to the car selection screen. The detail is what you would expect it to be to compete with GT5. Then the track loaded, oh my god. Most beautiful track on any sim period. The sound... Awesome. I had my 5.1 cranked. Unfortunately, there is no audio option to turn off the music so you kind of have to deal with the soundtrack.

Easily, the most time I have ever put into a demo. And I will continue to play it until release.

You will not be disappointed.

Remember to save them as vinyl groups. Full liveries don't transfer.

Demo is Monday.

I also posted some video of the demo I recorded in the video gameplay thread. I will add more tomorrow.

I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

Edit: I just read how to turn off the music. So I will post better recordings without the music tomorrow.

I posted my opinion of them already, which is great...but I don't think they are quite GT5 premium great (at the time of this writing at least, but I still need to inspect the cars closer during racing). Thoughts?

I usually NEVER get a clean lap when other cars are present on the track. I always get at least one draft penalty, invalidating the lap :(

You tease! I want to know!

Physics are completely different when using simulation. If you even touch a car at the wrong time or wrong spot it's hard to keep control.

Car sounds have been improved over FM3 which we pretty much already saw.

I found this a bit odd but when using a clutch in FM3 if you didnt time the clutch correctly you would grind the gear and hear it. I shifted without even engaging the clutch (i had man w/ clutch) and there was no grind and only a slight delay.

Graphics. Wow! Just wow! The Alps looks incredible. The cars look fantastic as well. Almost none of the screenshots that I have seen (and there have been allot of good ones) don't compare with actually having it on your tv screen in front of you.

As soon as I finish waking up I will be right back on it. I'll let you know if I spot anything else.

Lack of Kinect head tracking in the demo is a worry. Is it pants? GT wasn't too good either.

I'm sure if it was implemented correctly, it would be in the demo.

Hope I'm wrong.

One more thing i forgot. The brakes are 100 times better. Even with no abs it takes much more to lock them up.

Lets keep the codes to the ones from Facebook. We will not be a party to codes found out illegally.

I have the Limited Edition ordered (as well as my third Xbox - triple screens finally), looking forward to the demo becoming available. it sounds great.

Maybe it's the cable they are using.

My personal experience is that when I use my HDMI cable, the dark portions are darker. The contrast between lights and darks seems more pronounced.

We're you hotlapping with damage off? If you have damage off then clutch wont damage , still should hear something though, I think. I'll try in FM3 and see. They might have changed it in FM4

The gear grind is there I just couldn't hear it with the stupid music going. Thanks to Bogie's trick I was able to shut off the music and you can definitely hear it grind if you don't time your clutch with your shift.

Cool, glad they didn't remove it. Actually though it should be even louder than what it is. I've done my share of it in real life and it's VERY distinct and painful. lol

For the record sponge is the one that posted that trick before me, so I can't take credit.

I still need to get to Level 50 in Forza 3! :scared: Crap, Top Gear marathon, Dexter, and an itch to finish the tune of a McLaren MP4-12C on GT5, plus the whole week I'll be occupied playing the Demo, I need some more time!
