I'm enjoying some English candy my father brought me from his recent trip to England. One is a Wispa bar and the other is a Lion bar and they are both delicious! The Lion bar reminds me of a Twix bar.

Is it anything like the simpsons said it was.

British candy is a bit sweeter than what you're used to across the pond

Lion bars are similar to to a twix, but with wafers in the bottom and rice crispies in the caramel. I would say UK chocolate is less sweet than the US stuff, but it's also less cloying and thick. The UK stuff tastes more chocolately.

IIRC, there was an attempt to pass a bill through senate to increase the level of cocoa solids required to be classified as milk chocolate, and it was refused, citing 'the domestic market would not accept the taste of higher cocoa solid levels'.

Ate quite a variety of food this weekend including hot dogs, steak, and all sorts of other stuff. The steak looked the same as what I have posted before. But I did get a couple pics of a some sandwiches I ate.

Sandwich #1. My version of a Chicago dog. Tomatoes, pickles, velveeta cheese, and hot dogs. Topped off with Stubbs BBQ sauce. I don't like buns so I use bread slices.

Sandwich #2. And this delicious beast. Roast beef, pickles, tomatoes, spinach, velveeta cheese, and some pringles. This was excellent! I also like how well this pic turned out.

Taco Tuesdays! There are carrots, corn, green beans, Lima beans, celery, peas, and tomatoes in the meat. And the banana peppers were grown in my yard and pickled by me.

What you're eating looks fantastic as well!
It was. So much so that we couldn't decide whether to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow or dinner. Ultimately, the need to finish off the other half of the loin soon (It was 4.5lbs and this recipe called for 2lbs) won out. Lunch tomorrow.

I pretty much eat the same lunch every day which is 2 pieces of fried chicken, 2 bowls of rice, a Kitkat, and 1 or 2 ice cream cones. Drink is often orange juice but sometimes it's Coke.

It's always good to give it a good baste while it's grilling so it's a bit juicy. I'm a fan of dryish meat so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Also, like duck, when you grill its little head the tiny brains turn to pâté and make an excellent, if rather small, treat to put on bread or a cracker.
