Actually the GT-R is supposed to end in 2017 and for some reason I've never heard of this new facelift GT-R.

thats what i said the current GTR has 5 more years. the R36 if/when confirmed will be atleast 2018. that whole story about the demise of the car is a bit premature as 5-6 years off is a good bit of time

the facelift is coming next year and will include new aero parts and possibly even be different enough to warrant a new chassis designation EBA-R35 nissan was wind tunnel testing it a few weeks ago. it will probably debut at the tokyo motor show next year as a 2014 MY (US 2015 MY)

it could even be sooner ( i doubt it) but another facelift is on the way as its being worked on as we speak

thats what i want to see on the cover

Ok thanks for the information.

Edit: sorry my mobile app isn't working properly ended up posting the same thing twice.

GT5 SLS AMG was a great cover! and GT4 Ford GT also was a very good cover...

so I prefer PD to choose the next car, I bet they will come up with a great solution!

Simple yet worked. I thought maybe something like the first picture of the new viper

Simple lighting and showing the cars curves

I really think a car made by Gran Turismo would be suitable. It doesn't really matter, uless if it was the X2012 or whatever the next one is.

It should be a 2D hologram of an R35 GT-R, when you look at it from a different perspective you'll see a slightly different version. ;)

A Car from the Time of the Release (some where mentioned here already).
Or some new specials which are new to the Series.
Example: New Manufacturer plus Liverie which is an uncommon one => hint to the Liverie Editor.

They did good work with the covers in the past so I will probably like the GT6 cover aswell :D

Some thing came to mind with the last couple. I think the cover might be a car that's a redesign of an icon. Like Ford GT was redesign of the GT40, SLS is the 300sl Gullwing and (not as old but) GTR is redesigns of the R34. Maybe it will be the McLaren P12 after all, F1 was an icon was it not. Also scheduled for release on a few years (or the Ferrari F70 but Enzo wasn't that old)

it's has to be a new car from the year the game's released, so it's likely to be a Ferrari F12berlinetta, SRT Viper GTS, or the new BMW M3.

lets hope GT6 has some badass Aston's [like the DBS, V12 Zagato, One-77, V12 Vantage, Rapide, Virage, and of course the new Vanquish], GT5 only has DB7, DB9, V8 Vantage, and an old Vanquish. And if they do decide to put an Aston on the box, it's very likely to be the new Vanquish.

Something along the lines of
"Group C cutaway"
Would be perfect

I'm normally a strong defendant on GT sticking to what they've been doing... but I think any car cutaway art would be an amazing cover for a GT game. At the very least, a special edition.

The normal version could be the car and and collectors steel case could be a cut away/ x-ray version
