Spent an hour trying (and failing) to catch up to some of my xbox friends' leaderboard times.

Getting to the point of breaking and using a leaderboard car (again :( :P)

I need some MUCH slower friends on my leaderboard. You're usually just a mirage in the distance for me

Another day and more grinding. I only have 25 cars left to buy and of those only 2 are over 200k credits, so I’m really in the home stretch this time around.

I actually managed to get the Porsche 919 Hybrid to behave acceptably the other day, but I’ve found a new untamable car, the Ultima Evolution 1020 is still a death machine for me at the moment, and I play with TCS on so I can’t imagine how much worse it could be fighting constant wheelspin on top of it being a death machine around even gentle corners. But I think there’s a very quick car if the tune was just right, but I haven’t gotten close yet and it’s at level 50 already.

Worked out some 1965 Mini-setups (with & without the R-tyres "cheat") and then some for the -73 Escort. Man, that car is a toy, in E-class!

Upgraded tyrewidth to 195 F/R, swaybars at F:9 R:8.4, Springs at F:200lb R:195lb, dampers 4.5/7.0 F/R and diff at 56%. Rideheight one notch down in the front, two* in the rear

* notches down

Ran a few rival laps at Daytona with the Dodge and Shelby Daytona. Always loved the Shelby and it's great here, no drama.
Then did a couple of the Delta races - Never bought a car fastest lol.

Lazy crosspost:
Huayra R seems to stick to the road like glue and turn on a sixpence (dime for US readers) for me. I levelled it up to 27 last night in free play at Daytona and Hockenheim and still didn't feel the need to add a single upgrade or even mess with the suspension geometry like most other cars I've tried.

I now own every car that can be bought at this time. No money glitch used and no AFK grinding required. My play time is pretty ridiculous and I believe it counts whenever I leave the game running as play time so it’s definitely inflated. Not sure how to share Xbox screenshots so a crappy phone picture should suffice. 744 hours is what it takes apparently. I also have 140 cars at level 50.

I’m going to be splitting my time between GT7 and FM23 more evenly again, the upgrade grind in FM is preferable to the big 3 in GT and the car list for FM crushes GT but VR and FFB wheel gives GT a major advantage. Both games I enjoy although both could be so much better.

65d 5h 22min

Edit: 45.5mill in the bank, 81 lvl 50 cars and a lot of cars lvl 25-47. I mostly ignore supercars and see no point in owning all factoryracers. I do like I`ve done irl; buy me a barnfind and build me a sleeper so I can go hunting German M-series and RS-cars

I've transferred my 'wow' from Dextro to Unfairlane 🤣
I bet Dextro has more to show for it though. Personally I spent all those hours playing FH5 and EA WRC instead.

The AWD tour gave me the choice of these two cars but I couldn't tell the difference between them:

I opted for the right hand one and it must have been the non-Geiger edition because driving in bonnet view it didn't click and was very quick as another famous Italian might have put it.

FM23 in a nutshell...

Completed the Lancia series today. That car is awesome when at level 17 mid C class, most fun i've had in FM23 👌

Also downloaded a C class tune for the Miura for the Open series...

Force quit the game.

Then downloaded a C class tune for the Miura for the Open series...

Prayed to the right god second time around and the game didn't crash.

4 months in. Game is still broken...

FM23 is 50% excellent
FM23 is 50% ****
No middle ground with this game in my opinion.

With the Daytona 24 Hours coming up next week and the Roar Before The 24 this weekend, I decided to do my own version in Free Play.

I don't have the time to invest in a 24 hour race, so I did what my kids have termed "The 24 Laps of Daytona". I was looking to get my Porsche 911 GT3 R #73 Park Place Motorsport 2018 leveled up to 50, so ran my event a couple times. One done with a mixed field of DPi and Forza GT, and one with a full 24 car field of Forza GT.

Pros: I love the track (minus the pit exit), and really like the dynamic 24x time of day option. The sunset and sunrise were fun to see. Pretty easy to set up the races for what I wanted, with a downside I'll mention later. The Infield carnival rides also look great at night.

Cons: I wanted to have the lineup more realistic, with the DPi in front of the GT cars. HOWEVER, it automatically puts the player's class in front. Since I was in a GT3, these started in front of the DPi cars. Also, in real life a DPi should pull away from a GT3, especially on the banked oval sections. This didn't happen in my case. Also, oddly the V8 Supercars would almost come to a complete stop at the chicane just after turn 1. Other cars would fly through as they should, but I rammed the back of a Holden when they braked heavily there. I learned to keep my distance for the next race.

Overall, the Cons didn't bother me too much and I ended up having a great time. I can't wait for next weekend, when I'll stay up all 24 hours watching the race on TV. Glad to have this track back in the game.

Leveling some Vintage Muscle cars for a Rivals event starting today.

Was auto piloting in Class D rivals and watching the ghost of my car and amazed how often the steering wheel turns the wrong direction in corners haha

(no, not countersteering)

Finished the Open Tour and the bonus event with the classic Alfa at Spa.
Yesterday, I completed the second featured tour series with the Abarth 124 Spider.

Have uploaded my tunes for the Abarth at D400 and C500 if anyone is desperate  cutback73

Actually the C500 felt pretty quick and fun to drive, so I'm quite pleased with it 👍
