Seriously though, all 6 races were an absolute mess. As a result, I don’t really have any stand-outs today, even the MR2 gave me fits and that car is usually a great ride. I did get 4 more cars in for the CfS, so that leaves just 5 to complete Phase 1. I also retested the fuel economy on the Lancia Delta to verify my claims on its fuel economy, which it passed, but managed to set 2 new lap and overall PR’s with it!

Bought the Maserati and started rebuilding the bank account for the 917K, I’ve got some work to put in.

Took the Corvette Gr3 to LeMans and Sardegna for a shakedown ready for this weekends Discord race at Daytona. Last weekends are Dragon Trails turned into a bit of a farce due to the lobby servers acting the goat😒. Still, 5th out of 10. I'll take that.
A 4 star ticket of dispondency gave me a Genesis Grb rally car 😁.
Also had a run out at LeMans with the Aston Martin VGT. Wow, fast or what!!. Could do with a tweak in tuning tho.
Anyhoo... Ttfn

Threw down some Daily B, 'cause I love me some Miata touring cars.

Race 1, no qualifier set. Started 15th. Had some very clean and respectful racing. Finished 8th.

Race 2, set a qualifier in the mid 1:21, good enough for 2nd place. Lap 1 was good and clean, by the start of lap 2 there was around .5 between 1st and I, and .8 to third. Approaching the hairpin I noticed 3rd had caught up so I stuck it on the apex. Checked the radar to make sure 3rd was stuck behind me... Nope. 3rd cut across the grass to push me off of the apex. No penalty for contact (haha!) or even a track limits infraction, and they just continue...

Having a lot of fun at the Hyper Car race, Trial Mountain! Brilliant you don't have to reduce car's potential with PP limits or fuel mixtures!
The proper hyper cars are a pretty easy win so I'm trying the "super" cars. Just won in the GTR Nismo '17, but only after 3 goes and upping the PP to 697 with a cooler and racing manifold. Next is the Mercedes GTR Black.....

Found some GR1 tunes on Reddit from u/dr_hub. Tried the Nissan 92CP tune at Sardegna. Found it a sharp accelerating out of slow corners, so the LSD will need tuning a bit more. Got a 6 star ticket of dispondency. 2 cars and 3 credits on the wheel. I'm thinking, here we go, 30,000 credits, but no, stops on a Toyota TS030 hybrid 😁.
So, here's a thought, does anyone else change the oil BEFORE washing the car so it can't get dirty again? Or is it just me?..
Thought I'd complete Daytona CE. Bronzed the full lap, but struggling to get round the 1st corner without braking really early, very frustrating. Might have to turn on TCS. Silver on sector's 2/3. Can't get the 2/10ths needed for gold. I'll get back to it this week.

raced for daily miles so worked on menu 42 Gr.1 series. Daytona with the 787b, no stop but ran out of fuel and coasted across the finish. Remained in 1st place. St. Croix I did with the Mazda LM55. Single stop and pretty comfortable lead. Started Suzuka but not feeling racing in the rain. Opened my ticket, won some cash but no new engine. Will try again tomorrow.

Decided to use a newly-purchased Subaru WRX Gr.B for the Le Mans WTC700 event will the high-RPM turbo, racing transmission with longer gears set to a high speed (330-340 kph) for the long straights, racing hards, inters, and heavy wets.

I think it’s the fastest car I have used for the event. Easily churns out sub-four-minute laps on fuel map 2 with lifting and coasting before corners. I did get a rain shower just at the start of lap four, so I had to bust out the inters. Thanks to four-wheel drive and having the torque split set to 50:50, the car had quite a bit of grip still.

I highly recommend this car for this event, particularly for beginners who are not used to the new physics yet or those grinders who want to blitz through the event in the quickest possible time. You will likely have to stop at the finish line and wait a bit for the timer to end because it is so quick. It won’t be risky since your opponents are too far behind to reach you. Keep it on fuel map 2-3 and lift and coast before corners. Short shifting works as well

On the GTP account, I just couldn't drive at Tokyo today. Even the R33 was a struggle, but it was enough to get insulted by the 3-star marathon Wheel of Despair and its low-showing 10,000-Cr prize.

On the Plus account, I did a bit better driving, golding Tokyo South Clockwise and East Counterclockwise, getting a Supra engine off a 5-star marathon roulette. I also picked up the Honda S800 (fresh into the UCD last night), and made it through the P's of the 450,000-Cr. Brand Central logjam.

So anyone here tried to take the Mclaren P1 GTR on the Nurburgring? I bought it earlier and tried to tame it and did manage a “clean” lap. But my god that thing is a monster and it wants to kill you. Throughout the lap it got ever more sketchy as it went on. Rear end bites like a lion. It’s a fun car to drive but it’s a killer. So that’s what I did in GT7 today and here is the video of it for you to enjoy. You’ll notice towards the latter half of the lap I start being slower because that section of the lap is the murder zone for that car.

Finally did the kei car mission. Gold on this final try. Unexpected fun, but will never touch these cars again. Not for me i guess. Now only 4 more CE to go, all on the bloody annoying as hell Tokyo and then ive finally got gold on everything. But it will take me a while before committing to tokyo, as i never ever drive it. Maybe if i need some cash. Did the sarthe in the gt1 porche, dream to drive, not very fast, although it had no tuning other the tyres. Set a gold time in the civic for a nice 2 mil and thats about it. Undecided if i can be bothered with sport this week...

Kicked things off with a <600PP swapped-Mini and got the win with a mess of a gearbox. Stole the gearing from a swapped-Integra and it helped, but its still not right.

A retest of the Hyundai 3.8 was due next after a rain-out on the 1st go-around. Fortunately, the 1st 2 races gave me little or no rain, so my chances looked promising. Of course, the best laid plans of mice and men… Luckily, I opted to stay out for a 3rd lap so I could set a FL because when the rain comes, this car just won’t drive. She is just badly broken, I don’t think any tuning can save her.

The RX500 was next, another rain-out victim. I was really looking forward to this one though as the car gets fantastic mileage and I did enjoy the drive in the 1st test. The weather again forced me to choose at the end of L2, still needing a FL, I rolled the dice once more. The wet stuff had mostly cleared by the end of L3, so I went all-in on RH’s and set my sights on a 1-stop. Lady Luck smiled upon me and I managed to close out the race.

Peugeot 208 came back out of the paddock for another go. I could not figure out what to do with this car, so I just reset all values to stock, slapped on all the add-ones and took off. That was enough to clean up its very strange braking issue, but man is this car slow. I’m still interested in seeing a proper tune on her, but for now I’ll just take the win and move on.

The final car for today and for Phase 1 (excepting the Hyundai) is the Wicked GT again. Brought her back to her tuned spec and had no problems, SMH.

So since the Hyundai is the only one not completed, I gave her one more go. Set her back to base spec with all add-ones and it went better, but she’s still kind of a dog.

FINISHED PHASE 1 OF THE CfS!!! Laid-out the beginning vehicles for Phase 2.

Took a much-needed nap.

The same can be said about the Ferrari FXX K. Blisteringly quick, but it will try to kill you if you aren’t careful. That’s what makes learning these high-horsepower beasts fun for me though.

Ran Tokyo WTC600 twice, decided to use a new car from my collection - TVR Tuscan. Did a few light mods (weight stage 1/2, breathing mods, brakes, added some aero and put my livery on it). First time I ran it I did my usual FM4/5 no stop technique - but I had a small contact with a barrier, that ended up launching the car into a full spin and I lost around 11 seconds, which meant I was right with the leaders after their stops - couldn't live with them whilst managing fuel and tyres so ended up 4th.

Tried it again and decided to go for a 1 stop strat using FM2 and trying to be a lot more careful with the throttle to avoid spinning. Got spun by the AI instead! Decided to keep going though as the lap times were a lot better on FM2. Found myself with a 20 second lead afer Gallo stop with 3 laps to go and decided to try and convert to a no stopper! FM 5/6 and a lot of lift n coast - lap times took a nosedive obviously but I lost around 6 seconds of my lead per lap so ended up winning by 7/8 seconds.

Used the prize money to by the Skyline Silhouette and had a few exploratory laps of the Red Bull Ring as I'm probably going to make a track guide youtube video for this one. If I can do a competitive lap!

Enjoyed the Focus RS today.

Having received it as a gift for completing the Ford menu quite some time ago and not used it, I decided to dust it off and break its duck by swapping the LM-GT Gr.3 Engine into it and subsequently spending much of the morning honing a tune for it around Watkins.

Content with a 606PP / SH build, I ran the Watkins American 700PP event a few times, further tightening up the handling before certifying the build at Tokyo. I also experimented with the PP - dropping down to 550PP - and took it to the High Speed Ring Chilli Pepper Clubman+ for 3-4 easy wins with CRB for approx. 220K.

Mulling over the F50... It's just not the red I want it in... repainting isn't an option.

Today, took the Viper Gr4 out to LeMans for a new tune shakedown. Did what I wanted it to. Probably need a fettle for Daytona.
4 star ticket of dispondency gave me an engine for a Ford GT Lm spec 2 test car 😁. Not bad. Need to check the engine swap list list to see where it'll fit other than the Ford.
Went to Sardegna with the Toyota TS030 hybrid that I won yesterday. Only added RH tyres, power restrictor and ballast. Tried a zero pit stop strategy, that worked OK on FM4 with a bit of short shifting from lap 13. Inherited the lead on lap 8 when Portilla pitted for the 2nd time and no looking back. Lapped Inostroza on lap12 Lapped up to Rubillar in 8th and won by over 27secs. Could only make it work on easy tho. Pretty simple tuning. I'll add the tune here.
So ttfn

Managed to beat the Monza WTC800 race with my 700PP WRX Gr.B, but only just. Enjoyed the challenge! Overtook Beauvois on the final lap just after the Lesmos. He held onto my slipstream for the rest of the race, but failed to get past me.

Full power with the high-RPM turbo. Custom race transmission with top speed set to 350-360. Fuel map 1, lift and coast before corners, short shifting.

I also snagged the R8 engine for the MR2 today in a four-star daily mileage ticket

Used the penultimate of my invite pile to buy the Veneno. A bit of a disappointment to be honest, it just felt too safe and civilised after the pants-wetting terror of the FXX-K. Just the Veyron left now and then it's back to working my way through Brand Central. Jags next!

@Marts - That engine will fit in the Focus RS. I don't know how big a deal it is as I don't have it on either account, and I already tuned an RS for the 700-PP Sarthe event on both accounts.

On the GTP account, I dusted off the 800 PP version of the Supra GT500 and took it to Sardegna. It was very disappointing - I had to turn it down to FM4 to make it 5 laps on fuel, and the RM tires that are part of the tune don't even last that long. All that for mostly 1:40 laps, and a 20-second spin on lap 10. Still, a win (23 seconds on the usual normal) is a win, even if the 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. I wasted the money on a third Supra GT500 so I have an unmodified Hagerty's-bought example.

On the Plus account, I picked up the Autobianchi (fresh into the UCD last night), golded the Nurburgring GP and Suzuka CE's, and got my SIXTH lowest-possible 5,000 Cr/3-star Wheel of Despair (and 7th 3-star) in the last 14 marathon Wheels of Despair. Fortunately, the CE's paid well enough that I have only the Toyota FT-1 Gr.3 and the two Volkswagen Gr.3s left to buy from the 450,000-Cr. Brand Central logjam, while maintaining enough Cr. to buy everything from the UCD and Hagerty's that is at or under 450,000 Cr. that I don't already own.
