I hadn't been playing for a few weeks, so yesterday, I quickly got into silver range for the online time trial featuring the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm at Red Bull Ring, then tried out the Olympic time trial. I did indeed get into silver range for that, but I didn't even know I could adjust the settings until today, so maybe I'll give it another try, if only to improve my best time. I did get a three-star ticket that only netted me 5k credits for my daily workout, but I really don't mind.
I also bought the Alpine VGT Race Mode, as it was only car I needed for the Alpine menu, and I got 100k credits from the resulting ticket. If I really wanted to, I could buy both the original Shelby GT350 and the Cobra from the LCD, but they're not in the colors that I'd really prefer. Similarly, I could get the first-generation Ford GT40, but I'm frankly on a bit of a budget at the moment, where I'm trying to stay above 7.7m credits so that I can buy all three invite-only Ferraris if/when I become able to do so. Besides, the GT40 only seems to come in one color anyway, so I'm fine with waiting until it shows up again.
On the other hand, maybe I could just bite the bullet on the GT40, seeing how the online time trials are more frequent these days, and how the invites last for a whole month if I were to win one.
EDIT: I'm not sure if I'll have time to play today, but next time I do, I'll likely do that new Hypercar Parade round at Interlagos, using my Aston Martin Vulcan. I also am super-glad I won a Super Formula SF19/Toyota from a random ticket months ago, as now I can enter that into the new Super Formula races.
EDIT2: I also hope they haven't gotten rid of the six-star parts/engine tickets, as I don't think I've seen one as a potential Extra Menu reward for some time. Then again, that dataminer supposedly says we'll be able to straight-up buy engines/parts without relying on the random nature of tickets, too. Hopefully the invites will become similarly accessible...
