I beat the 30 minute race(finally) for the Weekly races finished all 5 races, earned two gift cars: Honda NsX Type R ‘02 in Silver Metallic color and a Ford GT ‘17 in Liquid Blue color. After that made a quick run in Autoplois GT3 race securing victory in that as well. Then boldly purchased a used Ferrari 430 Scuderia ‘07 in Grigio Alloy color with 28,722 miles on her for 363,500 credits! The One day I happen to look in the Used car dealership and there’s a car I haven’t collected, the Ferrari is a real beauty! Until tomorrow Gran Turismo 7!
What car did you use for Road Atlanta?

Today in GT7 completed the marathon, obtained a silver ticket.

Strolled through 4 of 5 races for the weekly earned two of three rewards in 20 minutes.

Tomorrow to finish that weekly and obtain all rewards for them(open them of course). Until next time GT7.

Missed doing a time trial for the 2,000,000 credits. oof
I’ve only ever been good enough to grab one silver medal, 22 bronze so far. Though I’ve had the game for 4 years only last year did I try the sport area. Just fine with the time trials and not so good with the daily a,b,c races. Find that my competitive nature would cause me to mess up big time. It’s a curse I believe. But hey don’t worry you’ll get the next one right? Dragon Trail C course has the long straights and weird triple apex. Hope to hear your story soon!

It was Weekly Challenge day. On the GTP account:
  • BB Raceway Sunday Cup in 1:29 with a stock Mazda Demio
  • Autopolis Japanese FF Challenge in 3:00 with a stock 1998 Honda Civic
  • Kyoto Evolution Meeting in 7:53 with a 2004 Mitsubishi Evo VIII tuned to 678 PP (honestly a bit of overkill, but I needed all that power in a different Evolution Meeting)
  • Suzuka Special; Event in 9:41 with a stock Mazda Roadster Touring Car (after a few false starts)
  • Road Atlanta Gr.1 Prototype Series in 31:02/25 laps with a stock Porsche 919 on FM 5 and a 1-stop (with tire change) strategy...only after hundreds of miles of restarts
The parts ticket gave an ultra-high rpm turbo for the 2002 Mazda RX-7, the car ticket gave a 2015 Audi R8 LMS (hung onto rather than being dumped for a mere 284,470 Cr.), and the 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the 2nd-lowest-showing/lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. As time was short, I glossed over the time trial and went to the Plus account.

On the Plus account, the Weekly Challenges went as such:
  • BB Raceway in 1:16 with a stock 2022 Honda Civic
  • Autopolis in 2:50 with the same Civic
  • Kyoto in 7:48 with a 2006 Mitusbishi Evo IX tuned to 687 PP (though I need to sort out the adjustable parts)
  • Suzuka in 9:37 with a Mazda Roadster Touring Car tuned to 584 PP
  • A very-sloppy second at Road Atlanta in exactly 30:00 with a stock SF23 Honda
The parts ticket gave a stroke up s for the 2004 Subaru Impreza, the car Wheel of Despair gave a SF19 Toyota (sold for 374,950 Cr.), and the all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the middle fing...er...showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.

I finished the Evo menu book. I was surpised at the Colorado springs race because I thought I might have to adjust the tune for that track but just putting on the dirt tires was enough. I got titanium rods for 2019 C7 from a ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🎫. Then I took the Daytona Coupe to LeMans. I started at FM6 on RS got out of the curve leading to the Mulsanne and to my surprise I saw a car heading my way just as I noticed the yellow flag. It was kinda of funny because all of the AI in front got out of the way of the car driving backwards and I was unable to get out of the way and the car ran right into me. I took a lot of damage and dropped down to 19th. I didn't think that I passed anyone but I didn't want to lose the CRB over something out of my control so I restarted the race. I really wish I was able to save a replay of that scene as it was like something out of a movie. 🤣 On the restart no big crash by the AI but I did spin out right the starting line at the end of lap 1 and ended up in 6th place. I pitted on lap 3 as the rain started and my tires were red. I used the wets and at first it looked like I might have to pit on the next lap but the down pour started. The race lasted 6 laps. The Daytona is a fun car to drive however I do wish it had one more gear. Got 30k cr from a 4 ⭐🎫

Today I spent a couple of hours using my new rig/wheel setup. Exclusively using that vs the controller today (although might flick back tomorrow for the world series).

Won 4 of the 5 daily races, can't get the hang of the classic road cars at Grand Valley using the wheel (braking under turning).

Just inside gold for now at Dragon Trail Reverse with a 1.51.132

But I've managed to get my Road Atlanta World Series practice time down on the wheel now to 1.17.9 (Controller best is 1.17.3)

This is infinitely more fun than a controller, even though I am massively worse because of the learning curve, probably B or C level vs A+ so I'll be avoiding daily races for a while until I get used to it a bit more!

Been a long while since last posted in this thread. I am just resetting my garage/favs. I admit I stopped playing GT7 for a while, close to a few days after 1.49 because I don't know, kinda got frustrated, burnt out maybe? Anyways, started playing GTA 5 (which I have because of my son but never got to play it before) finished the main story game, then came back to GT7 now with 1.52.

So, what I've decided to do is to just reset my favs; clear them all and start anew again, this time tuning for the new physics. My Favs now are all cars tuned for 1.52 onwards until next physics change. So that's what I've been doing these past days including today. Grab a car, test, tune, go to the Nordschleife paddock for testing with traffic, tune; change cars, rinse and repeat.

She f'd around and found out... gah

The AI will hate you like never before and ensure your place as a hockey puck for emptying the tank.

Yesterday i golded two more missions and then I ran the Toyota minivan at the Tokyo expressway weekly, ticket gave me 30k and id had enough for the evening.

Well today apart from the regular time trails hunting, I went VMAX hunting in a new NISMO GTR, followed Aurous guide to build my GODZILLA DARK 2.0. Very fun to build and test out on the usual suspects. My other GTR has a Top secret GOLDY livery but retains the V6 motor!

Also had a good Daily Race B at Sardenga, raced the Corvette, started a slow 14th place and worked my way upfeild, and managed to get 5th place overall. Pretty Cool!

ENJOY!

I didn't do much today yet, all I've done insofar is 'grind' the Tokyo sunday cup in the Tommy S for little over an hour to get enough to buy the NSX in the Legends cars.

Well I have been away for the past couple days so here’s what I did today.

Finished the weekly nothing eventful as gifts go. Daily marathon was completed in one of the weekly races. 30k credits.

Revisited St. Croix circuit again with the Weekly Challenge, used the GR. 2 Autech GT500 ‘16 race car FM 4 brought me around 8 laps with RH no pit. Both slides (power distribution & restrictor) were down to 70 and 76 respectively. Had the medium turbo on also. It’s a lovely strange track.

Until next time GT7

After 4 hours of troubleshooting, swearing & soldering up a new wiring harness for my mate's Logitech G29 pedals, (man, are those wires thin, cheapo mince) I fired up Route X & saw the glorious sight of accelerator & brake inputs registering like noting had happened... A very happy non gaming day on GT7. 👍

good session, did some split screen and sent a fiat500 to 480kph (a tomahawk was behind) and did some time trail and got a 1.58.xxx

Edit: 4 star marathon ticket (car roulette) gave me a z4 gr3 that I kept for fun

I turned a '71 Ford Mustang Mach 1 into a Group 4 car for the WTC700 races. She sits at 649.58 right now.

Mods:
5.0 Coyote Engine Upgrade
Weight Reduction x2
Sports Air Filter
Semi-Racing Muffler
Racing Brake Pads
Fully Custom Diff
Ceramic Breaks
Brake Balance Controller
Semi-Racinf Clutch/Flywheel
Front Air Dam
Rear Wing (B)
Weight Ballast

The 5.0 and Weight reduction x 2 bring it down to around 2800 lbs so I added rear ballast to bring the Weight up to the Gr4 average of 3004 with a ratio of 54/46.

The biggest problem with custom building a Gr4 car (I've done a few) is the gas milage. Production cars have (average) 16 gal tanks but a race car has 30 so you run out of gas unless you run Fuel Map 5/6. You're lowering your HP in the race, so you have to start the race with more than the Gr4 average which is mid 300s. I added the Air Filter and Muffler to accommodate for that.

So far I've changed:
Height 90/90
Roll Bar 8/8
Dampening (comp) 33/33
Dampening (exp) 45/45
Natural Frequency 3.06/3.06
negative Camber 3.0/3.0
Toe +.10/-.05
Downforce 100/150
Diff 8/25/20
Brake Balance +1
Ballast 119 (+50 to rear)

Transmission:
Set Top Speed @300km/h

It still needs a bit more tuning. It's fast enough in dry but slides and bit to much in rain on Wet tyres.

I won the Weekly Challenge WTC800 race at a canter in the Gr.2 Lexus, so I switched to the Gr.3 Lexus and so far can only get second place, but I made a couple of bad mistakes in that race. I switched to RS tyres but was struggling to do 4 laps with those.

I've never liked St. Croix, but for Gr.2/Gr.3 cars, it's a surprisingly flowing circuit, despite the horrible appearance from the track map. There's a lot of very wide corners that string together nicely, and I'm now something of a fan of the track, even though I still suck at it in Gr.1/prototypes.

Completed daily marathon the gave me a 4 star ticket resulting in, you guessed it, 30k credits.

Also completed an extra menu by purchasing a ‘66 Ford Shelby Cobra, earning a 6-star roulette ticket that got me 1mil credits!

Until next time GT7!
