What did you do in GT7 today?

So for the last two days I didn't have the time to play as I was at a trip for work.

Since the launch of GT7 I collected all the tickets every single day so now I missed two. Not that the reward would be any special, but still.

Today, I'm back. Will edit everything I did in this post or a new one, depends on how much I did.

I just had my second attempt at the Spa 1h enduro and won it by over a minute, and scored 1.5 million Cr. for an hour's work :)

I was keeping a close eye on the weather radar throughout the race, but fortunately it didn't rain at all.

Only a couple of minor mistakes - lost it at Blanchemont once and once (slightly) at Eau Rouge, but otherwise it was a very clean race.

There was a bizarre incident right near the end (lap 22) when an AI car (@Tidgney ) spun it at Malmedy, causing a Yellow Flag. Weirdly, though, another AI car got stuck behind the stricken Grady car, and came to a dead halt, and with me behind them, I also had to come to a dead halt - even though I was actually lapping them, I didn't know if this would be considered ignoring yellow flags and cost me my CRB. The incident cost me at least 10 seconds and the AI then proceeded to overtake me (2 cars) the instant the yellows were lifted as Grady got going again.

I almost screwed up my fuel... did a one-stop on Hard tyres at the end of lap 12 and figured (correctly) that if it stayed dry then the race would last for 25 laps, but somehow I got it mixed up a bit and found myself with 5 laps of fuel left at the beginning of Lap 20 (i.e. 6 laps to go, not 5!), so had to switch to a Lean fuel mode for the remainder of the race, but ended up winning comfortably, lapping up to 10th place.

What car did you use?

Aside from the usual half hour at LeMans and a few tries at Circuit Experience, I bought the Lambo VGT.
That thing accelerates like a rocket!
Also took the GTR Safety Car for its first outing, a win at Mount Panorama.

I've also been enjoying the Le Mans grind far more than the ridiculous Tomahawk equivalent, and after several different Gp.4s, I'm now just tuning up road cars to take it on so it's a bit more of a challenge. Wins today with these matchy matchy badboys...
I tuned up my Mazda RX500 and it was a fun challenge, I too like the lemans race, and the randomness of the weather

Went a bit mad and bought another 5 x 962C .

So i'll need
1 Mazda 767
4 Jaguar XJ9R
2 Sauber Mercs
4 Peugeot 908
3 Nissan R92CP

Decided to do start off a little different this morning and took my porsche round the nurb. Then did my usual 30 mins of Le Mans. Used my 650 GTS for it, that car is awesome on that track!

Ended up with a 4 star roulette for my daily workout. It was all cars! Wouldn't normally complain but I won a car I've already bought, the GTR safety car lol

Been trying to past the final super license test using the clutch with my shifter from cockpit view. I like to use my shifter whenever I can when driving cars that let you use the clutch. This test already has so much going on with trying to see and stay on the dry line, keeping this beast of a car on the road, and now I'm adding heal and toe shifting into the mix :dunce:

Grabbed the Gr3 GTR and did that Fuji rain race entirely on 4 sets of wets, with fuel consumption on 3 with no refuel, which gave me a really easy win.

Just did the exact same race, I think with the same car. Same GTR that is used on the Deep Forest licence test??

Also did it the exact same way, set of full wets, no pit stops. Finished in 19 minutes, I'll be doing that race again.

Nothing else to do...i only login to see whats in the used car lot and on the legendary lot if there is something that i find interesting i farm for it but since i got my dream car (250GTO) and most of the le mans prototypes i dont feel like playing it like i did in GT5 and previous game...

Yes-terday, I went shopping and bought
  • Lancer Evo V '98 at the Used Lot
  • Second Audi Sport quattro S1 '87 just because
  • 2x Jeep Willy's MB '45, the second just so I could grab a screenie of me driving it away, vroom vroom!

Cracked open a ripening three star ticket for 10K credits, meh, then a four star ticket and won the Toyota Supra '19 in gold, which was pretty okay.

Then abused Blofeld on Tokyo through five races, the bastie cretin deserved it for cheating with his NSX. No way either he or Suwillo race 600PP cars. Then wanted some challenge and switched to the Murcielago, with a slightly updated livery. I've lost my touch with the RE Amemiya RX-7 for whatever reason, and wanted something cooler to me than the froggy-looking Huayra. The third race was the most interesting, with quite a few battles for position. First I tangled with Igor Fraga in the first couple of laps with his Supra, and he put up a surprisingly tough fight, trading draft places a few times.

Struggled to catch up to the upper three, and in a few laps managed to reach them with some patient curve taking. Mikail Hizal fought me for third, the usual cretin duo of Blofeld and - I mean, V. Gallo and Suwillo far ahead of us. It was quite a contest, again trading position a few times before I finally managed to pull away.

Then around lap seven, the dastardly duo in the lead pitted and I had first place to myself, for a half a minute or so. Rose in her white RE Amemiya RX-7 had drafted around Mikail's Subaru and closed in on me. We traded places for the rest of the race, managing to get a decent lead in the early turns but then seeing her catch me in the last few.

In the final lap I was getting lazy and sloppy, and wanted to see my girl anyway, and sure enough I caught sight of her over my shoulder closing on my six. She whipped past me in the gradual turn before the rise three-fourths of the way through, and I couldn't seem to muster the speed or consistency to catch her. She had me, and gave me a laugh as she threw the RX-7 around the last tight turn which she does amazingly well, and I settled on second. Eh, she deserved it.

Made around seven million for the day and hadn't eaten supper, so I watched the replay and called it a night.

As like during past few days - I did just a few laps to get daily marathon ticket. I'm enjoying spring IRL.

But I was suprised by winning 6-star second day in a row. I know that from statistical pov it isn't something special but still, kinda unexpected at all 😀

My stock of 30 daily tickets (9.04-7.05) distribution:
1star - 7
2star - 6
3star - 8
4star - 7
5star - 0
6-star - 2

Today 2 amazing things happened

1 - Grinded enough to have a balance of 14m credits so I can buy the McLaren F1 legend car. Omg a few tweaks to settings and it's a beast

2 - Continued with my personal goal of having all gold circuit experiences and came across the Bugatti Gr1 and mind blown! This car is on rails and extremely quick, unbelievable. So I bought it too 😁

The times you see aren't competitive, just me testing out setting but look at the difference, all I did was stick racing softs on and that's it. Mind blown!

So.. i can do 880k in 17 minutes, or 1.5 million on spa in an hour in a Mercedes CLK with the chance of rain and a bit of drama, but without any big mistakes.. it seems like a certain win in the CLK...

Today i did my first 1 hour Spa race, i just went head first into the race, car of choice was my (now) new favorite car that i never really knew that well, the Mercedes CLK LM. Without no feel for the race i just went full speed ahead and within a 2 or 3 laps i was ahead, and i knew this could be a win. I turned the fuel mix to 6 and was able to build a gap to 60 seconds. So i turned my attention to the weather rapport, i started to lift and coast a bit more and short shift. I had some light rain, but i was waiting to see if the rain would be strong enough to force inters, and with a bit of luck could save a pitstop.. But no, i ran out of fuel, so i changed tires and refueled, out of the pits i learned the pitroad the hard way, 3 second penalty.

With the time left in the race it turned out that the fuel economy in the CLK was so good that i could turn mix to 1, so i turned it up and did some fast laps and expanded the gap to 2nd place. But the race wasn't done.. finally rain started to drop and i pitted for inters.

Thank Kaz that wet weather racing is so much more fun in GT7, but i wasn't done.. the track dried up and the inters burned away so on the last lap i picked up fresh tires, as did the AIs :)

Crossing the line with 2 minutes to second place, the CLK felt like cheating :)

After my struggle with Daytona, this was a needed win

I didn’t have much time to play GT7 today since I went to Chicago to see the Cubs play at Wrigley Field.

I got on very early this morning and did an MR2 Gr.4 build, as well as slapped on a Team Oreca livery from the Showcase on the Mk2 Viper GTS I got in the daily roulette ticket today. Yes, something other than the lowest credit reward for once!

That was all
