What did you do in GT7 today?

Today, a trip to the Used Cars lot yielded absolutely nothing new. Purchased the Ferrari P4 and Mercedes 300 Sl coupe 54 from Hagertys. Took the Ferrari to Spa. Jaysus, need to find a tune to stop its proclivity to exit corners sideways. So parked that back in the garage and gave the Renault RS01 a run out. Underrated car in my view. Great on tyres and fuel. Handles pretty well too.
Tried the WRX at High Speed Ring for 1/2 an hour, to get the lap time under 1:29. Can't get under 1:31, even on Racing Softs.
I'm obviously not a great driver.
A 2 star ticket brought....... Yep, you guessed it...... 5000 credits..... So, so predictable.

Continuing with goofing around with regular street cars, I bought that used '98 Impreza that just showed and had fun with that, ala old skool Turismo. Then......I got a complete surprise. I noticed in my garage that I'd acquired a used Honda Fit Hybrid at some point, most likely because I like Hondas. So I drove it. What an incredible fly-under-the-radar car that most people will unfortunately ignore. Beautiful to drive and sounds amazing. Buttery smooth handling and fairly powerful. I had to go and buy a new one with zero mileage from the dealership and headed straight for Nurburgring from there. With some tuning this thing could clock some very surprising times on the Ring for it's class. What an amazing car.

Success last night at Tokyo 600pp 12 lap race. I drove my newly tuned Citroen GT and won with a 5 second lead. Was a very good race. Car is very fast down the straights even with the addition of the rear wing and very solid in the corners. Will be a useful tool for grinding that race and I want to try it on other 600pp races.

Contrary to what I said earlier, I actually decided to buy the black Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe first, then I re-tried the Trial Mountain One Hour. This time, I actually won it! I started on Sports Softs, then switched to Sports Mediums at the end of lap 15. I kept my fuel map on 4, though towards the end, I was able to lower it to 3. I then obtained a two-star ticket, which netted me 10k credits, which I'll take.

Now, before the next GTWS Nations Cup round this Saturday night, I'm planning to do a combination of practicing for that, doing qualifying time trials for Daily Race A this week, and maybe some WTC 800 rounds, as I have plenty of those remaining. I'd leave my PS4 on standby so it can download the update tomorrow while I'm at work, but there's a forecast for lightning, so I don't wanna risk a power outage. I'm also going out with a friend not too long after work tomorrow, so I'm not terribly sure how much I'll be able to fool around tomorrow. But there's still Friday this week, where I'll be off for a day.

I started the Plus account first, and as I didn't have the Tomahawk S to make the Sardegna WTC 800 race an easy win (I took 7th in a 730PP-tuned Corvette Gr.3 on this account previously), I struggled a bit before using a modified version of @foxdylan's 800 PP tune for said Vette. After doing a 2-stop race (FM6, lap 6 for fuel and RH tires, lap 12 for just fuel), I pulled off a 25-second win. It's not quite as fast a grind as the Tomahawk, but it will do, especially since I expect the Tomahawk to be further nerfed tomorrow. The 1-star marathon roulette was as useless as usual, giving me the low-cash 5,000 Cr. "prize", but it was enough to get me a 2nd Carrera GT (I plan on getting 3 before the latest invite expires near the end of the month; 1 to keep stock, 1 to fully-modify with the standard body, 1 to fully-modify with the wide body).

Over on the GTP account, I did a was supposed to be a no-stop strategy with the Tomahawk S at Sardegna, but was forced into the pits by a backmarker for a 58-second win (would have been close to 1:15 without the stop). The 1-star marathon roulette was even more worthless, with the low-cash 2,000 Cr. booby prize.

Le Mans 24 Minutes & World Touring 700 in the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, both placed 1st. Tough wins, still learning the fuel map usage.

3 Star ticket = RCZ GR3 Road Car.

Ran the 30 min La Sarte with the Silvia Touring car, that was quite fun. then did Sardegna with 787B so 57 min for 1.55 mil.

Then swapped the livery for the Silvia to the red Genki one, somebody did a real good job at that one, tried to set it up for some sliding but not happy with the setup so that still needs some work
i'm at 30 mil now, and not sure yet what cars i want from Hagerty, ( F1 i find to expensive now ) but deff CLK + F40
so we grinded again today

4(!) failed attempts at Tsukuba Human Comedy.

Statistically, my Eunos should be eating the track up - its acceleration times are ridiculous which count on a small track like Tsukuba but its proving very tricky this time round.

Today i finaly golded Catalonia CE. this is one of the most difficult things i have ever done. that lambo does not want to grip.

Golded the tokyo expressway south anticlockwize CE. after 250km of trial.

I also won an Aston One-77 with a 4star daily ticket.

I don’t think I’ll have time to play today, but I forgot to mention that yesterday, I customized the Toyota GR Supra ‘20 that I had won from the menus, which came in Prominence Red. I was thinking of painting it Silver Graphite Metallic, as it’s the same silver as on the A80, but then I realized that it’d likely clash with the red interior. So instead, I painted it the same black as the A70.

Definitely a fan of how it looks now, especially with the second rear wing option that reminds me of the A80’s stock rear wing. Not to mention the custom rear diffuser!

I’m also unsure if I want to add a widebody to my black Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe, as I do indeed plan to tune/customize this one. (Whereas if/when this car appears in the LCD in silver, I’ll buy it again but leave that particular one as stock, aside from buying some extra tire compounds.) On one hand, it could unlock different customization options, but it also costs 100k credits. Ah well, I suppose I could just make it back with one of the many WTC 800 races I’ve yet to do. Probably gonna put some BBS RS wheels on it, too.

I do have over 23m credits, granted, but I want to keep a budget. Especially since I’m waiting for the McLaren F1 to specifically appear in Base Silver. Any cars that only have one color option - including a potential racing livery for race cars - can wait as far as I’m concerned, as it’s not like there’s a preferred color I’d like to see them in. Whereas this Mercedes-Benz 300SL that I bought yesterday looks amazing in black.

On the GTP account, I tried the Tokyo rain race with a stock Citroen GT. It almost has the pace to pull it off, but the back tires wear out a bit too quickly. I instead pulled out the R33 and popped a 2:13.5 lap (and theoretically could have had a 2:12.9 one) on the way to the usual win. The 6-star workout roulette, despite having 2 booby cash prizes, got me 1,000,000 Cr.

I'll be working the Plus account this evening.

Found a new favourite for the WTC800 races - Lexus SC430 Petronas Tom’s Super GT 2008..... what a machine and great on fuel consumption too! At Sardegna 15 lapper needed only 1 stop (end lap 8, FM3), lapped everything up to position 3! Lovely drive.

One star ticket but 10,000 credits, so could have been worse!

Took my BRZ GT300 out for a run around Sardegna in the WTC800 race. High-RPM turbo with some detuning puts it right at 800 PP. Keep it at fuel map 6 with lifting and coasting and you will find yourself churning out 1:38-1:39 laps (maybe faster for better players) and pitting in for fuel every 5-6 laps. Easy victory. The BRZ grips very well, though all hell (and the rear, of course) will break loose if you get on the power too early.

Took the Porsche 911 RSR to Le Mans. Very strange weather pattern today. Heavy showers, not constant rain. Managed to get round with only 1 fuel stop on RH tyres. Quite impressed with myself. Went to Honest Tony's Used Cars, again nothing new. Hegarty's gave up a Lambo Muira. In other news, a 3 star ticket revealed a Mazda RX8 spirit R.... Tidy
