Grinds My Gears: Part 11: -My parents (Need I say more? I'll admit my dad is awesome, but my mom... I can't f:censored: stand her! She couldn't reach a remote 1 foot away from her when she was on the couch, so she yells my name, waking me up, and tells me to change the channel.

Whooping cough. At night. And during the day.

It's now 5am here, and I can't sleep because every 30mins to an hour, I have a coughing fit where breathing becomes rather tricky. Not fun. Especially when it makes me vomit sometimes as well

Current Affairs programs in Australia. Every night after the news, they start spouting all their racist 🤬 about how foreign immigrants are taking 'our' (despite the fact it was originally taken from the aboriginals) houses and 'invading' our communities, and 'stealing' our hard earned jobs, despite the fact they came here as legally as the the next person. And then they were showing one poorly run sushi bar that did have health issues and representing it as if that's how they all run, yet they seem to skip over every caucasian restaurant that has even poorer health standards. It really does sicken me how most people I know accept these shows as hard fact. /rant.

Another thing that grinds my gears is emphasis on sports over education in America.

At least in the state I live in, more budget money is going to sports than education.
Why? Okay, it brings more money in than education, but is that all you care about? What about the education of future generations? What about 500 years from now?

Not trying to offend anyone but Education > Superbowl or NASCAR or the World Series or whatever.

Yes, I live in America.

I'm going to add Criterion's retarded idea of sticking your car backwards half-a-kilometre at standstill after @#$%ing you over with their physics by flipping the car to the list.

I think I have finally found what grinds my gears the most. Advertising. I 🤬 hate 🤬 advertising. That piece of 🤬 grinds my gears in so many ways. I'm 🤬 tired of having advertising all over the screen whenever I open a link. 🤬 advertising makes my computer go slow. 🤬 advertising makes videos go slow because of 🤬 stupid flashing advertising. It's 🤬 everywhere: TV, Internet, streets, everywhere. 🤬 advertising about stupid 🤬 I'm not even interested in buying, and moreover, would not even consider buying because I hate the product being advertised in question. Products that are not advertised, now that's what I would buy.

^Gotta agree with American education, dice. To prove a point, my schools teams has just gotten back from a baseball/softball trip in Florida. They played, what, 1 game? That no one cares about? And hey, I'm smart, what the hell do I get? Nothing. People wonder why teachers have to think of new ways to make kids do things, or maybe why we see that commercial with how many countries are ahead of us in education.

I blame Bush.

Yes, I live in America.

It's not only in America, it's the same in New Zealand. They're all damn sports obsessed, and for someone like me, who's favourite sport involves a CAR!!!! I HATE SPORTS!!!!!, grrr they just annoy me. Rage at me all you like, I will always disagree that sports are fun.

It's not that sports can't be fun, but millions of dollars fun? screw that, scientists who made life altering discoveries don't get as much PER DAY as athletes.

Seriously America?(and everywhere else that does it) Seriously?

People who over-hype everything grind my gears. Especially Americans, those who said Barack Obama was the change they could believe in, sure are pissed off right now. Everyone believed he would change everything, but he is just like every other President of the USA, a people-persuader who breaks promises, just like EVERY politician. Politicians also grind my gears

Bad thing is, people don't understand that McCain most likely would have been just as "bad", but people still bitch about Obama anyways.

Calling football soccer.
It's funny, the British first started calling it soccer. Nowadays they don't and Americans do, and we're wrong for it.

I didn't say McCain would have been better either, I was saying that no matter who gets in, they never ever do what they promise to.

The name soccer is some thing to do with the original name for the game which was association football.

Sorry for the double post, couldn't work out the multi-quote thing.

People who don't share my taste in music at all but still feel the urge to say stupid things like "it's a Nickelback night tonight!"

I'd rather castrate myself with a plastic spoon than listen to Nickelback, so why are you advertising that you're listening to them?

In most cases, I've already went off on these people for spamming whatever lame mainstream music they're listening to to me, yet they still feel the need to tell me that.

People that dart into parking spaces that I want, and almost kiss the car in the space in front of them in the process.

People that babble.

People that consider smoking "insulting" to non smokers. It's already illegal for me to smoke anywhere that's not someone's home, car, or outside.

People that unintentionally blow smoke in your face.

People that complain about things people do, then do them.

People in general.

Lawn mowers.

Chevy Cavaliers. Every Cavalier within a 10 mile radius of my home apparently got their catalytic converter stolen, and they insist on driving by my house at 3 in the morning.

People who put the brand of their car on their windshield. Like I haven't figured that out already...

So it's not only me who notices that Americans go crazy over winning the lottery. In New Zealand the winners almost had no reaction to winning $200,000. They sort of just nodded.

Let's see... what grinds my gears?

My Little Pony.

People who call soccer "football".

Jimmie Johnson always winning when Jeff Gordon is this close to winning again.

People who make fun of me for driving a Pontiac Sunbird when they drive a Honda Civic.

RUST!

Massive dealer incompetence.

Wikipedia's tendency to value political correctness above all else.

The entire "stance" movement, and anything else that values form over function.

PD's trading restrictions.

Finally, I hate colds. My entire weekend has been ruined by some annoying virus that seems to give different symptoms by the hour (starting off with a horrible sore throat).

I have a cold just like that, starts with a sore throat, moves on to ears feeling blocked, blocked nose, bad balance, phlegm, bad coughing, painful sneezing, etc, it grinds my gears also.
