What have you done to your car today?

^ Cool car. What is that, a Punto? I wish we had more small cars in the States, all these trucks and minivans annoy me.

Panda, they're smaller than a Punto. 1.4 litre with 100bhp or thereabouts, and about 2150 lb. It's basically the car that the Fiat 500 is based on, only less camp :sly:

could anyone let me know if it could be the electrical system is blown.
i need serious advise

Call an auto sparky. I'm sorry but if you forgot which side the + and - go to then I'm afraid if you try to do anything else you may make things worse... Have you disconnected the battery?

not low enough
Lower it.

I've never seen a battery that isn't marked. If the cables themselves have confused you, it's easy to tell which is which because the negative cable probably grounds itself to the chassis nearly, whereas the positive cable splits off to the starter and just about everywhere else.

Back on four wheels! Rebuilt drums and new lines work fantastically... Can't say the same for the differential fluid leaking.

Probably a leak in the breather that I had to take off and put back on.

The cable on the right (red) is the positive.

Also, I demand pics! (from a fellow 87 MR2 owner)

Yeah, Punknoodle, that stance is perfect. You going to do much else with the looks of the car?

Thinking about a group a front bumper for a front mount intercooler.. Unsure if it will upset the look though.

Did a little fiddling today. Changed the alternator ,and changed the oil, on the '71. Last night while driving I heard a squeeling sound, and tracked it down to the bearings in the alternator.

Master fuse is blown. It's a big-girl, usually 120+ amp, and will be located in the main fuse/relay panel under the hood. Follow the red (12v+) line from the battery that doesn't go towards the engine and you'll find the fuse. All modern-ish cars have this in event of a collision.

If this fuse has been blown before and bypassed or simply replaced with a wire of some sort, you're screwed as is all the important electrical bits in the car.

Why? So I can get even more pissed off when I encounter a speed bump? I like it the height it is, functional but still low.
What do you mean by "even more pissed off"?

I'm not seriously suggesting the car needs to be lowered, I was just playing along with what Keef was saying, but it looks like it could clear curbs at the current height, speed bumps shouldn't be any kind of problem.

Haven't measured. I'll check it out when I get home.

The new rims will have raised it a tad from what it was with the standard wheels and I haven't driven it further than about 100m with the new rims on before I got guard rub and called it a day so I haven't experienced speed bumps in it's current set up.

Is this for the Celica?

Yes, nevermind. Are these cars prone to spontaneous combustion?

New meats on the Miata! Continental ExtremeContact DW. Just a good all around street tire. Good grip, great wet performance, and with a surprisingly nice ride. Not too loud either. The sidewalls are a bit soft, so it's not the twitchiest, most responsive tire, but it's certainly good enough in that regard.

Next up: Installing my new canvas top and getting some body work done to fix some rust because I'm an idiot who does a lousy job of cleaning drainage channels.

Ferrari 458 italias are...

I replaced the orange turn signal lights on my 92 land cruiser with clear depo lights. Next week is stripping the car for new paint.

Mounted my extinguisher. More pics in my thread.

I keep meaning to do that to qualify for the Hillclimbs... but I think the missus would notice that big red thing under her feet... the regs require an extra large extinguisher if you don't have an in-bay system... which is kind of overkill for street-class... you carry the extinguisher so you can safely exit, not so you can put out forest fires!

Personally, I would like to mount it vertically in the passenger footwell... sort of a quick draw position that you can reach without unbuckling your belts.
