What have you done to your car today?

Picked up and installed the Weathertech floor liners.

Gotta keep the new car looking new for as long as I can.

Looked at my rubbage.

^ I think you should probably fix that, looks pretty severe. Have they always rubbed that bad or did you get new tyres / lower the car recently?

Intentional? Because rubbing looks pretty bad.

Not really intentional, but I recently got all my adjustable suspension arms for the rear of my car, so I lowered it a little and straightened out my camber as much as I could. I was trying to make it fit as flush as I could, but I think I slightly overdid it on that side.

I see, is the tyre and arch ok? The picture gives a weird sense that the edge of the arch isn't quite the shape it should be but it might just be the picture :odd:

The arch is ok, I'm not sure why it may look weird in the picture. The tire just had the words rubbed off the sidewall, that's pretty much it.

my new 2.2 stroker for my evo is hitting the dyno some time today at C.B.R.D. Speedfactory. was 821hp before stroking and was never redynoed after instalation of snow water methanol injection kit so i may be in the 950hp range when engine is back in car and put on chassis dyno.

Had an interesting turn of events while working on that Expedition's brakes today. I was looseing up the line's fitting to get the line out, but then nut (that is sealed on to the housing and isn't supposed to come off), broke off, and broke the line, leaving the line stuck in the hole. Never seen that happen before, so now I have to pull the housing and plate off the wheel well and either fix or replace the housing. See pics (It's the spot that's missing everything on the case, sorry for bad quality, phone camera blows):

its deformed by heat and the tire rubbing it, he needs to roll the wheelwell.

The wheel well is rolled, and it's not deformed. It would melt the paint off LONG before the metal deformed.

Do I need to go take another picture so people can stop telling me what's wrong with my car?

EDIT: BTW it pretty much doesn't rub anymore. It just rubbed the words off the tires and now it clears. It's fine.

Build thread. Now lol

Stalled it about 3 times trying to back it out of the garage...

In front of my dad...who thankfully didn't say a word.

On the bright side, didn't get stuck between 1st and 2nd gear the whole day. You can't shortcut 1-2 on my car, otherwise you have to bother with going back into 1st and then go the "long way" into 2nd...and some 🤬 honking at you. :banghead:

Yea I'm still a bit new to driving with a stick. My first-first car is/was a '98 S10 (neighbor is buying in a few days) with a auto and I learned stick from my dad and his bad-🤬 CJ5.

Damn nice!!!

Worked on that Expedition again. Pulled the ABS housing and sort of left it.

got dyno results today from C.B.R.D. 937hp@7100 rpm at the crank. the methanol injection + boost increase will net more.

Nice. 👍

At the other end of the bhp scale I finally got round to changing my Mini's clutch slave cylinder, it had been weeping fluid for a while and the need to top it up was getting a bit too frequent, as well as the odd mashed gearchange when driving quickly.
Next job will be some sticky rubber for the front, seems even my *cough* 55'ish bhp *cough* is struggling for traction on certain sections of my drive to and from work, more down to the quality of the road surface but it's as good an excuse as any for some sportier tyres.

Finally fixed my leaky timing chain cover. Degreased the engine bay and various oil-painted parts - found a couple part numbers under all the crud, gives you an idea of how long the poor thing's been leaking. Also changed the points and condenser, did a little timing adjust and a new belt and she sounds and runs MUCH better than before.

Also fixed my alignment as it was pulling to the left a bit - now it glides as straight as a arrow!

Now onto the numerous other tidbits that need fixed. Oh, and to convert it to a straight pipe :sly:.

Worked on that Expedition again. Replaced the housing and finished installing a line. Gotta order another tomorrow and installed that (the one that runs from the master cylinder to the ABS housing and line distribution box) and the pull the 2 rear lines and replace those as well. Problem is, the last person who did the lines messed up the thread sizes and fittings so we have to use the old fittings for the lines to work, so getting lines out of the old fittings is a pain in the ass.

Now the MR2 has had a full prothane bushing set installed, along with new ball joints, new front and rear tie rods...still having issues. Seems that it has to be in the column or rack now.

changed sparkplugs and wires in my ranger, my abs light is on in amber yet sensors are new and the relays are not blown.

Re-inserted the fuse for the ABS system on my Mum's Tacoma.

Why was it out? I literally couldnt even breathe on the brake pedal without it willy-nilly doing the ABS-Thud thing in the snow. Most irritating thing ever. Try to turn with the smallest amount of brake pressure? "THUD THUD THUD THUD". That was obviously much safer... not.

But now that the roads are dry, I suppose it actually is safer to have it functioning.

I washed my car today. Even though I hadn't done it in 2 months it only took about an hour. Tomorrow (possibly) I'll vacuum the inside.
